The look of the M140i is on point because it looks like a normal 1 Series with M Package and with a Stage 1 it is faster than a m3/m4. So a wolf in sheepclothing

The Reiger diffuser on mine made a big difference visually.
I think the M Performance spoiler on mine has helped the rear end no end as have the skirt extensions and losing the silver mirror caps and canards on my white car.
The underbody brace makes a reasonable difference and are pretty cheap from Williams.
Aye I'll be getting in touch with Williams again when I need to put my order in. Seems like a nice chap when I spoke to him before about the 'hot climate mod' 😊

I'm from Stockton and I recognise your accent aswell as the areas you're filming in. I've recently just bought an m140, previously had a mk3 focus rs. Got a few of these mods ordered courtesy of your channel but I'm with bmw insurance and heard they're a bit of a pain in the ass when it comes to insuring mods

The problem with any of these mods is that it makes an already relatively expensive car to insure even more expensive to insure. I quite like the standard look personally. Those who are in the know will know what it is, everyone else thinks that it is a regular 1 series until it leaves them for dust...
Depends who you're insured with Simon. I had modified insurance due to the power upgrades, any aesthetic modifications dont effect the price on my policy.

Hiya dude. Allot of people from the m140i groups are saying emerald struts are a no no as it f*s up the alignment of the boot around the car. Some pics shows boot being off from fitting it..
Yup...I heard the horror stories after I'd already fitted mine. I'll be sure to update you if they do cause any damage to the tailgate. I read the disclaimer on the site, which was slightly off-putting ngl but all has been ok with mine so far 🙌

Quality content mate, keep it up! And also, few other mods to mention, you can code your car for £50 with a coder, you can install interior lighting with light tubes, carbon wrap or spray your interior, subframe inserts £50 which aren't too hard and etc. Plenty more!

hi bro where did you get your rear splitters from? the things next to the rear diffuser
turn lights mod and bumper automatic open are my favorites... but i had a 120i 2015 soo, my money level is kinda lower hehe... i totally want some mods, for now i just put a new wheel caps i got one floating wheel caps, no matters how much you drive, the BMW logo will be always aligned upwards and plus it leds up a nice blue when over 25 mph what is a bonus that can be deactivate cutting off some wires, but i like it this way... my car is unique in my city beucase of this effect

@@lookship i was same when i got mine i wanted 5 door, mineral grey with cognac leather and all the toys ofc 😂, hows the fitment on the spoiler? It looks good according to video, (i.e gaps on both sides are equal as well underneath etc)

I never understood people wanting their car to look "OEM" other than for sleeper purposes.
Now I understand if they like the OEM look, and that is the best option in their opinion. But I don't get the "I don't want to change it because it isn't OEM"

Heya, Just wondering, what MPG do you get on Motorway? I'll be looking for one of these hopefully within the next year or two, and have heard some people claiming 40ishmpg motorway and some as low as 29mpg. Thanks
I'm going to be doing a proper running costs video after I've taken it for it's next service and I've also got a friend who's been keeping track of costs on his manual M140i too. Most likely be around Christmas/New Year by the time I release it though. Couple of videos planned in before it 😊

As for the diffuser, I'm not sure. But there must be an aftermarket single exit diffuser for the 1 series somewhere.

@@lookship it’s honestly probably not worth the hassle! Get them off, I regretted it! It’s that extra force to shut the boot that does the damage!
Me too, popped off the ball joints on mine, smashed through the rear light, got Emerald to replace them.
@@CBelloxxi did you have the plastic or metal sockets on the end of the strut for the ball joint?
Look at the gap between the tailgate and the rear quarter above the light cluster. They usually cause them not to line up after fitted. The tailgate encroaches the light... Worth checking 👍

Some things are just stupid money for no real reason though. For example you can get a short shifter for a Fiesta ST for £50 but for Abarth your cheapest option is double that. The Abarths do sound great for what they are, and mine has a back box delete. But I’d much prefer the BMW straight six 😏

If 'every' M140i owner bought these same modifications, then they would not be modifications anymore, because everyone's cars would look identical.
The whole point of modifying is to have something unique, but it seem M140i / RS3 / etc owners all seem to copy each other and so the same boring shit to their cars, so everyone looks the same.
