Hey man, wanted to start by saying fantastic video! Your B58 info is super streamlined and really easy to understand, especially for a beginner like myself. I wanted to ask your advice about my current setup, I currently have a 340iX 6MT with MPPSK (completely stock other than some head unit upgrades) and I am hoping to just go for 400WHP on 91 AKI. From my research the front transfer case and transmission can handle around 466 lb-ft so hopefully it wouldn't hurt the daily drivability and potentially increase highway fuel economy (if I am thinking about this right). Would a stage 2 tune get me near that number assuming drivetrain loss. Also, total shot in the dark, do you know if there is a major difference between the AA and VRSF catted downpipes other than the price, I would assume they function similarly but I really don't know for sure.
Sorry for the dumb question, I’m not fully up to speed on tuning cars. What is an OTS tune? I’d like to get a stage 1 on my car and not sure how to go at it
On point with everything, very nice video, congrats. On an M340 with pure 800, downpipe, change pipe, hpfp, and a Trans tune , on 93, it is possible to run more than 600whp? And it’s a daily what should i upgrade more?
There are no hpfp upgrades for an M340. There is also no need for a charge pipe. On 93 i wouldn't expect more than 550 but some people have pushed it further.
Dumb question- but are most ppl that are running careless DPs bypassing CELs with just an O2 sensor spacer? Only thing holding me back from the downpipe is the dreaded CEL..
great break down. i know audi / vw stages like the back of my hand but now that i want to switch to the bimmer life this was invaluable for the b58 So the charge pipes are solid in the b58? i remember that being a big problem in the n55
One question and a suggestion... can you run full E with a stage 2 LPFP upgrade (is that the only Upgrade needed)? the suggestion... would be awesome if at the end of the video when you flash up the tunes and the power output if you could add another column to provide approximate ET and mile per hour for each of the power levels. Some people chase Dyno numbers (which is silly as it's just a tuning tool and they vary) others chase performance numbers, so would be good to know for stage 1 OTS the typical car will run 12.2-12.5 @ 114-117 for example. appreciate your chanell!
Do you have any experience with Hybrids ? I have a bmw G05 45e. Just got down pipes installed 300 cell, and looking at ECU tune and custom exhaust with GPF delete. Tuner states around 500-520hp for stage 1. Should be no issues with engine and transmission. Any comments here from your side ?
Hi Sir, Can you guide me how to replace the heat management module? I took it to our local BMW dealer and they said that it's check engine light because of heat management module is bad
Would you recommend Stage 3 Custom Big Turbo Kit for time attack track use on BMW 840i RWD ? Or Stage 2+ should suffice in terms of power efficiency (no wheel spin) ? Please advice, good people 😸
From what I have experienced when you want them suitable for track better is less hp cuz of less wheelspin and easier control of the gaspedal. But if you build it custom with everything needed suspenion tires and other stuff then 600hp is also okay but you will have problems with traction that is why I would stay with a stage 2 or stag 2+.
Hey, I also have a manual but I have some questions. At what kind of power did you decide you needed to upgrade the clutch and did you do the flywheel as well? I feel like 2-2+ would already be in the range of causing slipping sooner rather than later but maybe that wasn't the case for you?
Still loving the content on this channel and please keep it up! I just installed MHD today on my 18' 340i RWD. I fitted the FTP chargepipe and intake pipe with a drop in BMC filter, catless downpipe and the TU pump. I went with 91 Oct stage 2 and did a dyno run. The results were a bit underwhelming 269wkw (361whp) and 587nm of torque. Do you think this is normal and could be a stingy dyno? Also the tuner that helped install my hardware said he does not recommend even loaded the stage 2+ even though I have the pump because in South Africa our fuel quality is poor. Would love to hear any thoughts on this.
I had a quick question regarding my manual 2018 340i. I got stage 2 E30 from BM3 running right now. I had an issue where I would go WOT and around 4k rpm or so the car would make loud pops and cut back on power. It wasn’t consistent. Sometimes it would happen and sometimes it didn’t. The RPM it would happen at would vary at times too but usually around 4k. At first I thought it was my clutch was slipping. So I had it replaced because it needed to be replaced anyways but that didn’t solve the issue. You got an idea of what that may be? I’m hoping it’s just me not having a good e30 mixture.
I have a carbon tune, vsrf catless dp, intake and dinan exhaust. Only able to run 91 octane. Would I get power gains just from installing a water injection kit? Is a water injection kit as good as doing the HPFP upgrade?
I have a B58, 2018, 540i BMW and I’m looking for recommendation who does the best tunes? and a tune that’s compatible for down pipes as well because there’s a lot of people that do tunes, but don’t tune for downpipe’s
Currently running a custom stage 2 tune, 455 hp and 618 Nm on my M140 Xdrive. Recently had the TU pump fitted as precaution. Is it worth re-tuning to stage 2+? Will the power gains be noticable from stage 2 to 2+ ?
@kern417 im currently running a catless DP, intake, visconti flex fuel kit on a 30 and 50 map getting 540hp 570tq on high map. Could i squeeze some more power with a hpfp?
I have 2019 440i xdrive. Got it at 30k miles now it’s at 60k miles on mhd stage 2. About 25,000 miles on stage 2 no problems. How many miles will it stay reliable? Daily use.
What’s up guys, I have plans for over 500hp. Although, I’m at a toss up. Should I upgrade turbo first then install meth kit? Or meth kit first then turbo?
hi, great info thanks, i have m240i manual with mhd stage 1 tune and a de cat downpipe , dont like the smell now so want to put std downpipe back in, does that affect the tune as stage one is generally ok with stock everything ?
With the exception of geography in the engine bay. I would like to assume that most of this stuff can be done to my g05 x5 40i. Is that a correct assumption? I have driven a modified 40i of a visitor to Toronto that hung out with us for a week. I could really feel it just tooling around Bloor St. I dont know what the mods were except he had a box inline for one thing. Other than that, you couldnt see anything. I would really like to do something to give it some oooomph once that thing is all mine in October.

Hi! Can i put a better intake with the m performance kit? Does it work ? Or I have to change the exhaust system or downpipe? I Mean can i make stage 2 with the m performance exhaust?
Hey Kevin. If I want to add an aftermarket CAI on stage 1/2 for better noise not performance. Would that be detrimental or great compared to the OEM intake?

On point with everything, very nice video, congrats. On an M340 with pure 800, downpipe, change pipe, hpfp, and a Trans tune , on 93, it is possible to run more than 600whp? And it’s a daily what should i upgrade more?
There are no hpfp upgrades for an M340. There is also no need for a charge pipe.
On 93 i wouldn't expect more than 550 but some people have pushed it further.
Dumb question- but are most ppl that are running careless DPs bypassing CELs with just an O2 sensor spacer? Only thing holding me back from the downpipe is the dreaded CEL..
i have bigboost turbo stage 4 kit on my x3m40i and I got 550 hp ,it can go up to 700 hp with port injection
great break down. i know audi / vw stages like the back of my hand but now that i want to switch to the bimmer life this was invaluable for the b58
So the charge pipes are solid in the b58? i remember that being a big problem in the n55
Yes
@@kern417 do the charge pipes increase turbo sound and add any hp even 5? I know the intakes add about 3-5 and more sound depending on the brand.
What about downpipe on bm3 stage 1? Worried about putting the stage 2 with manual clutch. .🤔🤔🤔 Keep going with this b58 videos.
The manual clutch will hold stage 2 pretty well. Going above stage 2 e30 is when it tends to slip
Hello! What about the Air Intake? You have yours replaced, as we can see.
Hey, do you recommend upgrade draft shafts once big turbo? Will be doing diggs with the car
In the video, when you're talking about up-grading internals and cracking intake manifolds are you referring to BHP or WHP??
Whp
@@kern417 Thanks
I have a 2018 740i and can’t find much info on modding, do you recommend or think it can be done just the same ?
Can I get those tune from a bootmod3?...and can I upgrade down pipe...fuel pump if mt car is 2022...and I don't wanna flash computer yet..."warranty"
How do the logs look? On 91 octane that's not bad.
@@kern417 it looks fine according to the tuner. There are some timing corrections. Boost is at 1.28.
Yeah probably just limited by octane. Just enjoy it 👍🏾
What do you think about the M Performance Power and Sound kit?
From bmw?
I had a quick question regarding my manual 2018 340i. I got stage 2 E30 from BM3 running right now. I had an issue where I would go WOT and around 4k rpm or so the car would make loud pops and cut back on power. It wasn’t consistent. Sometimes it would happen and sometimes it didn’t. The RPM it would happen at would vary at times too but usually around 4k. At first I thought it was my clutch was slipping. So I had it replaced because it needed to be replaced anyways but that didn’t solve the issue. You got an idea of what that may be? I’m hoping it’s just me not having a good e30 mixture.
most likely, but you need to run a log to confirm.

I have a carbon tune, vsrf catless dp, intake and dinan exhaust. Only able to run 91 octane. Would I get power gains just from installing a water injection kit? Is a water injection kit as good as doing the HPFP upgrade?
You can see gains from meth Injection but just injecting water will not provide significant gains
I have a B58, 2018, 540i BMW and I’m looking for recommendation who does the best tunes? and a tune that’s compatible for down pipes as well because there’s a lot of people that do tunes, but don’t tune for downpipe’s
th-cam.com/video/Ugkn4OHwqk0/w-d-xo.html
Currently running a custom stage 2 tune, 455 hp and 618 Nm on my M140 Xdrive. Recently had the TU pump fitted as precaution. Is it worth re-tuning to stage 2+? Will the power gains be noticable from stage 2 to 2+ ?
With the TU pump it wont be that much but it would still be an upgrade over stage 2
Daily use.
As long as you keep maintaining it.. lmao. Warm the car up, turn turn it off straight after some pulls etc.
Is the 550i clutch hold the torque from the stock turbo on stage 2+ and the GC+ on pump only ? Probably around 550whp or less
What’s up guys,
I have plans for over 500hp.
Should be fine
Did you have to use an E92 M3 clutch MC conversion with a CDV delete to make your DocRace kit work?
No
Do I need an upgraded fuel pump either 2019 440i? Cuz I know its a gen 2 pls let me know
0:18 What are those big round ‘things’ next to your engine? 🤣
Depending on the year it will be more difficult to tune
Just picked up an Ineos Grenadier w/ B58. I am thinking the stage 1 is an easy upgrade? True?
MHD also requires a GPF delete for stage 2 but I never see anyone do it. Any thoughts?
Hi, Do I need a KN or BMC for stage 2? Or OEM is enough. THX
I love it nice and simple bro I have a m140i sage 2 and my next step is 640bhp sage 3 pureturbo and I am finking of my clanch that you say 335is but from wich your my car is 2017 so don't know
Is the stage 1 safe for stock clutch and gearbox, for manual transmission?
I just took my x3 m40i to a hub dyno it was making 455 to the wheel consistently
what upgrades?
@@alexlxngu stage 1 dorch, intake, catless dp and custom e50 tune
pops and bangs from the downpipe are great
Hi! Can i put a better intake with the m performance kit? Does it work ? Or I have to change the exhaust system or downpipe? I Mean can i make stage 2 with the m performance exhaust?
what about with b48 do you think this would still be the path to go down?
Hey Kevin. If I want to add an aftermarket CAI on stage 1/2 for better noise not performance. Would that be detrimental or great compared to the OEM intake?
Most quality intakes have no difference
@@kern417 Thanks for the help, much appreciated!
I love you
I watched a video where a guy put n52 cams in his n55 because his car kept falling on its face close to redline and after he put those n52 cams in his car stayed up all the to red line
does stage 2 93 OTS with a catted downpipe for daily require clutch upgrade?
It should be ok on stage 2 93
What's your best recommended setup for a reliable ACN 91 octane flash and power ...have really terrible petrol quality here and I am contemplating a MPPSK for the sound and extra performance OR a stage 1 ACN OTS map with a catted downpipe
It just depends on your power goals. Any setup can be tuned safely on 91. But you can always buy ethanol online to run an e30 mix.
