Thank you Lisa. After looking at the acrylic you used, I bet that acrylic would make some awesome customized swizzle stir sticks for a themed party! Great video!
Thank you Lisa, at 61 years old, I decided to learn yet another hobby. I just got my glowforge yesterday and you have already taught me so much. Thank you thank you
I have always had so many problems in cutting acrylic, or it was not possible to cut all the way or the edges were always ruined, I was never satisfied and I avoided this material as much as possible. Now I have tried these settings and the result is perfect! Thank you!
@@LisaPottsDesigns , the acrylic I’ve used always has the paper masking on it. I honestly wish I could get into making videos on TH-cam, but I just don’t have that ability!
Finally I managed to view a video of you again. Well done as usual and the cake topper is really nice. Love it. Thanks Lisa :) P.S. the glitter acrylic is really beautiful
Good question! Offset is used to give more stability for the design. When something is thinner, it’s more fragile and likely to break. A (small) offset adds a little more “fluff” to the design without distorting it.
I have watched this video several times and have purchased the Cerulean tide acrylic thats masked already it’s called cell cast acrylic sheet in 1/8” white pearl , should I remove their masking and place new masking to ensure safety in my Glowforge?

Hi, great video, thanks for sharing! Can you tell me V what version of Glowforge you have, basic, pro?
Thanks for watching! I have the Pro.
Great video.
Thank you!
I’m new to glowforge… I’ve learned a lot from your videos but I wanted to ask why do you use offset?

The plastic masking is fine to keep on, but I find I get cleaner cuts when I replace it with the paper. 💕
Thanks!
Thank you! 💕
Great job
Thank you ♥

Love it!
Thank you 💕
Have you used the dry erase chalk board from HOME Depot. Trying to get right setting
It's sitting in my studio right now, waiting to be tested! Hopefully soon.
Can you do arcryic toppers with just the basic?
Absolutely! The settings should be about the same. Just do some test cuts
Hey, do you have a link for the masking tape?
Yes! You can find it in my Amazon shop! www.amazon.com/shop/lisapottsdesigns
Do you need me to do a tutorial for you on how to mask?!? 🤣😂😉
Ha! Maybe I need one but that means I would be giving in and masking 🤣
