I use the same two programs to help make projects. XCS does now offer the ability to curve text, which is really nice. Simplifies quite a bit. Additionaly, Absolute coordinates is also now available, ( I haven't mastered the spoilboard, but workin on it).
The acrylic I use is listed in the description of the video. The M1 settings used are the default settings in XCS for black acrylic. I used the same settings in my first acrylic video here: th-cam.com/video/KaZqkByKdBs/w-d-xo.html
I cut black acrylic on my M1 with 1 pass. To my knowledge, you can not cut mirrored acrylic because it is basically clear acrylic with a mirrored backing.
I watched your other video when you painted the wine glass, would that work with clear acrylic? Or only for engraving. And how about blue painters tape instead of paint?
Happy Birthday to your Loving Dad. As Always thank you ever so much for the useful Tutorial. Fabulous Job!
Thank you so much for the kind words and the well wishes!
Super quick, easy to understand tutorial - Perfect, Thank YOU!
Awesome! BTW, the latest version of XCS now offers a way to curve your text directly in XCS!
You have no idea how much you’ve saved me. I’ve been looking for these videos alllllk week
Glad it was helpful!
I hit a big wall. Inkscape won’t let me edit the font. It looks like the background is extremely small and I can’t make it bigger
Thank you for the video, always learning from them! Happy Birthday to your dad!!
Your welcome and thank you!

The XCS updates have been great! The text curve and weld features have been game changers.
Thanks for the video Michael. I have not attempted acrylic yet with the M1. Could you let me know your supplier and the settings you used. 12:39

I have a video in my M1 playlist showing how to etch clear acrylic. I have not tried the blue painter's tape method.
