    🤯 The whole knife tool trick by turning off the auto apply!! 🙌 I didn't know about this!!! Thank you so much!!

      @@LisaPottsDesigns I've always hated the knife tool because it auto-applied. Did not know I could turn it off. That alone made this video worth watching, but then add the Center to Page was the icing!

    +1 for that cardboard jig to make it easy to align the acrylic pieces! 👏 I'm keeping that one, thank you so much!

      You're so welcome! I prefer cardboard jigs to scoring my actual material.

    I’ve been using Inkscape to start w/ my Glowforge only two weeks since got it. I’ll have to try using my Silhouette studio to make custom projects as well. Great video.

      Thank you so much! I really enjoy this, so it is such an encouragement to hear that it's noticed. Glad you liked the combo! I want to work on a version where I make my own blanks for it too.

    Great tutorial! Regarding the 3M….is there a certain 3M that works best on wood vs acrylic?

      I would recommend the 468, it's a stronger hold.

    Hi I know this was done some time ago but hoping you will see this. How did you know the board would be laser safe ?

    • @LisaPottsDesigns
      @LisaPottsDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      I try to check the materials. This is a rubberwood, its a softer wood, but most uncoated woods are totally fine.

    Hi. Do you does the acrylic come with 3m applied or do you buy it separately?
    I would like to know suggestions for 3m & masking. This video is super!

    • @LisaPottsDesigns
      @LisaPottsDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I buy it separately and apply it myself. This allows me to put down just what I need, in case I need to cut the same color acrylic without the adhesive.

    Loved your video!! I'm trying to learn all this and will watch more videos as I can find them :) One question how did you stick the letters on the board? Thank you :)

      Thank you so much! I applied 3M tape to the back before cutting. Once it was done, I peeled it and applied.

    Hi! Do you need to pay for silloutte studio?

    • @LisaPottsDesigns
      @LisaPottsDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but only once! The base software is free, but the Business Edition upgrade that allows you to export SVG is a one-time purchase.

      I try to link to them in my description, but they don't always work. Which design do you want?
