On the last question. I’m a former atheist that had returned to the Episcopal Church. While not an actual Catholic, more like Diet Catholic 😉; I think Churches with a High Church approach have something of great value to offer those that are growing tired of post-post-postmodernism or whatever nonsensical simulacrum is festering in our culture. I was willing to take a Kierkegaardian leap towards something greater than myself and a belief in Love and Beauty as a springboard to a Belief in the saving grace of Christ is a wonderful start. The world is empty without Love and Beauty and I’m slowly learning that Love and Beauty cannot be sustained without the Grace of God.
This was wonderful. The only thing I would add is understanding the word "catholic." Acording to historical documentation, it's a word used since the disiples of the Apostles. It's meaning, Universal, the Universal Teachings of Christianity, because all the original Churches prior to the Great Skizum made up the Universal Christian Church, The catholic Church.
Here's my idea of a Trinity. An electron can exist in a superposition of many different quantum states, and so can God. We can even write it down as follows: |God> = 1/√3 ( |father> + |son> + |ghost>) Just pure quantum mechanics!

Very good video exploring generic ChatGPT. The questions are key. Additionally, easy to define a custom GPT centered Catholicism with emphasis on patristic fathers through Thomas Aquinas. I get much more thoughtful answers then.
LLMs are a reflection of its audience. Try asking from a whole different doctrine perspective and it will start reflecting that specific doctrine. It can also lead you to confirmation bias, so you have to be very careful with these tools in order to get accurate, technical, and true answers.
If an AI gives a reference, be sure to verify that it is correct or even exists. An attorney got in trouble for using AI & not double checking. AI can make up stuff that sounds really good.

The homily brainstorm example was great to show it can be a tool in the hands of someone who already understands the concepts. Father Casey, I have a question on the second commandment 'Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain'. I often hear people who use God's name whenever they feel surprised, anxious, overwhelmed, or frightened. Many justify it as a word of prayer. But, to my understanding, it's simply the oral outcome of their emotions rather than a sincere prayer or praise. What's your understanding?
Father Casey what do you mean by it's 'too late' when one gives in to their triggers? For, example, if one clicked on a pornographic website but stopped /left before 'doing' anything would that be grave sin or not sin at all? Thank for this video. God bless.
I’m saying that at that point it is all up to will power and the flesh, and most are not able to turn the ship around. Obviously we still have free will and should try, but you’ll be much more successful if you avoid the triggers in the first place
Mainly it's not grave sin provided one does it exhausted and at midnight (in that case what's more of a sin is the fact of awakeness at that hour itself). It'd be a grave sin if one clicked on it with full sunlight at like 4 PM at the office - full knowledge, active will and breaking the moral wall by chosing it as an activity, an entertainment. Really depends on in what spirit one "clicks".
@@BreakingInTheHabit So clicking on material (the near occasion or closeness to sin) isn't a sin, but fully committing it is, correct? Of course, we should remain chaste, but as a late teenager struggling with Scrupulosity and sexual desires, I have often found myself close to, but not fullly committing some actions.
Just when I started to think that ChatGBT was a waste of time! Now I need to learn how to use it rather than ignore it. Frankly I was amazed. God hits me over the head with a 2x4 again. He caused the rust to be all over everything, he can clean it up! 😊

You should add a prompt before asking the questions such as "answer all my questions as if you were a Catholic theologian" or "as a Catholic Bishop". You probably would have gotten better answers.
Fr. Casey, this was very interesting AS A TOOL! For the lay-person, we may not catch subtle errors based on the conversation. AI can help me as Catholic for reminders and preparation but should never be a replacement of active life engaged in Church, family and community.
Quora question for Fr. Casey, questions many want answers to, where they need answers to their questions so they can progress onto what is more significant! Why do demons pick certain people?
Awesome video, thanks for making it. I just tried the Catholic Answers AI (Justin), I shared it with a few fellow parishioners and was meet with negative feedback. I think they are scared of potential demons in the machine. I thought the answers it gave were super helpful though. Hopefully videos like this will make people less fearful of what they don’t understand.
I wish the answer to you about how a priest could do more mentioned the music of the church and not just architecture or art. There is more than 1,000 years of incredible music that feels thrown away in the current Church.
@BreakingInTheHabit Really‽ Then then why is it there is no female lay ministers here in Pinas. I don't see any female lay minister from the multitudes of churches I visit here in the Philippines.
The last question he asked her about the challenges think the biggest one is lack of belief in the true presence of Jesus Christ in Holy Communion within our own church
I wish it was a few weeks ago and we could’ve heard the voice of essentially Scarlett Johansson giving tips to Father Casey. // I’ll borrow an idea from an article. I read about ChatGPT accuracy with medical topics. Father Kacey was a little disappointed in a number of the answers, …but had father Kacey been listening to a lay counselor or even some priest counselors, giving short recorded answers to short questions, he might also have been a little disappointed with many of the answers he heard.
Interesting that neither AI nor the presenter here touched on the key issue that drove me out of the church and continues to drive others. It's been in the news and it's impacting politics but never a word on the subject. Personally, for years I like many others just ignored the official teaching on the topic which would have locked people into pre-industrial age patterns of mindless reproduction, without thought or care for those going through the process. Once the church acheived its 50 year goal of gaining control of this very intimate aspect of life, that was it for me. Just fed up with the continuing disrespect and marginalization of everything that concerns half the human race.

Hello from Puerto Rico Father . Very interesting but nothing can ever replace human interaction as God intended 🙏
Just when I started to think that ChatGBT was a waste of time! Now I need to learn how to use it rather than ignore it. Frankly I was amazed. God hits me over the head with a 2x4 again. He caused the rust to be all over everything, he can clean it up! 😊
Only human with heart and feelings can pray for another fellow human being. Never a machine is able to do the same service that will be truly meaningful to reach out for God.
There are modifications and apps in gpt that are Catholic. One is Catholic scholar. I use it to get an idea then develop it myself with real sources
i actually use chatgpt with common theological question, but I make sure it is in the context of catholicism
Hey chat GPT.... If you were to start an original religion. What would it involve and who/what would you praise or worship?
You should add a prompt before asking the questions such as "answer all my questions as if you were a Catholic theologian" or "as a Catholic Bishop". You probably would have gotten better answers.
Yea most of the problems with Chat GPT come from poor prompts.
It def has its problems but I’m excited at how helpful it is.
Fr. Casey, this was very interesting AS A TOOL! For the lay-person, we may not catch subtle errors based on the conversation. AI can help me as Catholic for reminders and preparation but should never be a replacement of active life engaged in Church, family and community.
I would ask what is your favorite book in the Bible and verse in that book?
11:06 That one caught you off-guard. XD
Quora question for Fr. Casey, questions many want answers to, where they need answers to their questions so they can progress onto what is more significant!
Why do demons pick certain people?
I'm surprised that letters from High Demon Elgrim weren't brought up.
I have a question for ChatGPT. ChatGPT how do i know if I'm going against the magisterium.
Hey ChatGPT- why does a caupuchin robe cost more than a week's wages at a fast food restaurant?
Is this chat gpt 4o or 3.5?
I'm from Russia. It's incredible! To tears... You did a great job... (I use a translator)
There's an AI that answers some Catholic questions and gives the reference. It's called Magisterium AI.
1:59 PATRICK!!
No hate intended, Father. I really enjoyed your expressions during this video! 😅
What you meed is Verbum even the cheapest version
Would you pray for father tryphon ( rocor )
Only Casey can out smart a non-sentient entity.
Q: In history books 'transsubstantiation' seems to be referred to quite frequently as 'transfiguration' .. I assume, by definition, that's OK, too ?
I wish the answer to you about how a priest could do more mentioned the music of the church and not just architecture or art. There is more than 1,000 years of incredible music that feels thrown away in the current Church.
NIV is unfortunately the default Bible translation of chatGPT. I had to tell it to stop using NIV. Only Catholic-approved Bibles for me.
There is a version of GPT in the GPT "store" that is trained to be Catholic. It's free, and it's just called Catholic AI.
What does GPT mean, please?
GPT = Generative Pre-Trained Transformer
Why there is no female lay ministers?
Not sure what you mean. There are female lay ministers everywhere I serve.
I am actually frightened by this...😮
I wish it was a few weeks ago and we could’ve heard the voice of essentially Scarlett Johansson giving tips to Father Casey.
I love you my holy father
Interesting that neither AI nor the presenter here touched on the key issue that drove me out of the church and continues to drive others. It's been in the news and it's impacting politics but never a word on the subject. Personally, for years I like many others just ignored the official teaching on the topic which would have locked people into pre-industrial age patterns of mindless reproduction, without thought or care for those going through the process. Once the church acheived its 50 year goal of gaining control of this very intimate aspect of life, that was it for me. Just fed up with the continuing disrespect and marginalization of everything that concerns half the human race.
Why not ask the natural language processing system wether sexual activity including mastication and intercourse is harmful for people?
I didn't know that eating was a sexual activity 😂.
Sorry I couldn't help myself 😁.
Do more questions Father to the AI so that the others would know about what catholic church has done
