First, I want to thank everyone for all the comments and kind words in this video. This truly means a lot, and I am so blessed that my videos can bring joy or happiness to someone, even if it’s one individual! While this video goes into why I have chosen to specifically become a Catholic, if you are interested in how I converted from the Islamic faith to Christianity in general, please check out my previous video from around a year ago titled: “From Islam to Christ.” Thank you all again so much. May our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ bless you always. Amen :)

Appreciate you relating your thinking and experiences. More so because I feel I came to my faith in an uncommon way. I didn't join because I was convinced that some strangers thousands of years ago claimed to have seen someone they claim was God.
For me belief in God came from my own rational assessment of the universe, that it was ordered in such a way from the genome on upward to the cosmos, that defied any probability of random chance. In short there was a designer. Once that premise is accepted then discerning the nature of God and a purpose for our existence is a philosophical exercise. Me reason insisted it wasn't need, we can obviously offer Him nothing, but to be known to others and share in His nature. In short an act of selfless love in the Augustinian sense to will the good of the other for the sake of the other. That God's nature in part was Infinite love.
Then the search becomes which if any reflect my belief. Only the Catholic Church seemed to have gotten it correct. By extension some of the Catholic aligned Churches but that's more a scriptural matter. My issue with protestantism has to do with the contradictory theology which never struck me in obvious ways as well thought out. Think much of the error comes from attempting to fit a square in a round hole regarding salvation theory. They treat it as an exercise in scriptural interpretations, and very few recognize the inherent implications as to the nature of God implicit in their conclusions. Luther and Calvin make clumsy but either outright nonsensical to me distinctions down to near blasphemous ones (regarding penal substitution and what it would tell us as to the nature of God). All stemming from the desire to avoid contradiction to faith alone or once saved always saved.
Catholics got it right imo. Christ didn't take on our sins and bear the unjust wrath of a God taken out on an innocent because He didn't care who felt His fury, but someone had to do so. Rather that all sin is an offense against love due God. That by His nature He wanted to forgive this debt, but being infinite truth as well it couldn't simply be ignored or dismissed. So in resolution He determined in His mercy to pay that debt Himself. Christ's act of selfless love paid off the debt of love owed God by as a result of our sins. Rather than it being about God unleashing His fury on an innocent for our sins, if possible there is no time the Father was more pleased with His Son than in this act of self sacrifice. From that distinction flow many of the errors of protestantism

You're amazing! Loved your content. QUESTION: Why do people think 'heaven' is nothing but a rich copy of earth? So many people define "Paradise" as a magical place that fulfills your every desire, hope, and dream. They've completely ignored what heaven really is! When we get to heaven, we will be transformed! We will be a NEW CREATION! We will be like Jesus! Can you imagine? I'd rather be like Jesus, then just receive mere copies of earth's rewards! We believers will all be LIKE JESUS! The Bible says, "We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him like He really is!" If any man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION! We should stop this fallacy where heaven is nothing but a place where every carnal desire is fulfilled! That is false!

The Protestant confusion on being saved is definitely part of what keeps me Catholic. I've had many conversations, in which Protestants will claim they thought they were saved until they prayed the right prayer or answered the right altar call. There's no tangible answer to why that was the right one. I was baptized once; I follow Christ. Therefore, I am saved, and I thank God for his mercy.

      FACTS:
#1--Christ NEVER taught that Peter is a pope.-(where is the title Pope in the Bible?)
#2--Christ NEVER taught that Mary will go to heaven. (Where does the bible say Mary will go/has gone to heaven?)
#3--Christ NEVER taught that Mary is a mediator/intercessor. (Where does the bible say Mary is a mediator?

#5--Christ NEVER taught that Mary remained virgin. (Where in the bible does it state Mary remained a virgin?)
#6--Christ NEVER Taught that a mere man is head of His church. (Where is the Bible does it state a mere man is head of Christ's church?)
#7--Christ NEVER taught about a church named Catholic. (Where in the Bible is a church named Catholic mentioned?)

#9--Christ NEVER taught that the dead can hear our prayers. (Where in the bible does it state the dead can hear our prayers
#10--Christ NEVER taught that anyone can change the day of worship . (Where in the Bible does IT STATE GOD changed the day of worship to Sunday?)
#11--Christ NEVER taught to confess to a "priest". (Where in the Bible does it state we are to confess our sins to a Priest?)
#12--Christ NEVER Taught a priest can forgive your sins. (Where in the Bible does it state a priest can forgive our sins
#13--Christ NEVER taught salvation is through a church..(Where is the bible does it state our salvation comes from a church
#14--Christ NEVER taught to pray to, or with beads!!! (Where in the bile does it state we are to use/pray to beads?)
#15--Christ NEVER started a church named Catholic!!! (Where in the Bible does it mention a church named Catholic?)
#16--Christ never said to confess your sins to a priest
And YES--IT MUST be IN THE BIBLE!! Otherwise it ia only an opinion!!
John 14:6 New International Version -
And yes, IT MUST be IN the Bible!! Jesus said: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. ... No one comes to the Father except through me.."
So, when a church teaches what contradicts what Jesus taught, which one is the truth??? If you say the church is right, that means Jesus is a liar!!! That erases ALL the 4 gospels!!! That leaves out ALL of Matt 16!! Along with that. you insist Jesus is God, then that implies God is liar. That erases ALL the Bible!!
If you say Jesus is right, that means the church has lied!!! IT CAN NOT be both right!!!
The bottom line is, the Messiah kept the Law perfectly, and we are to walk as he walked according to the Scriptures at 1 John 2:4-6. Those who do not follow Messiah’s footsteps are workers of lawlessness according to the Messiah himself.
Kindly refute these FACTS with book, chapter and numbered verse FROM the Bible.

Before internet, when a protestant come to my home, I have problems to find the correct reply to their questions, sometimes I needed to go to my church and ask the priest, find the Catechism, look at it, find a history book, and it took same times a week or even forever.
Today, with the internet I can find all those information very fast. I have access to very knowledgeable people in the Church, documents, I can contact priest, exorcist and ask directly those questions.
At the end, Internet is killing Protestantism.

I am a Protestant and love the Lord. I tried to be Catholic this year but not could see some of Catholic traditions. My wife and I attended 3 months of services and 4 weeks of RCIA. The Eucharist I had no problem with. The services was beautiful and reverence. The whole beliefs about Mary really made us uncomfortable. I asked a question in RCIA why does a prayer to Mary says at the end of it to answer me. She said that Jesus won't tell his mother no and she will answer you. Of course, purgatory we was 80% against but try to understand. The RCIA teacher said to read some early church fathers for help. I did read about 10 hours of early church fathers for Polycrap, St. Ignatius, and others. After reading some of their letters, I didn't see them honoring Mother Mary at all. I didn't read Mary was sinless or her assumption. The Eucharist they made sure they took. The early church fathers never mentioned purgatory. After reading the early church fathers made us leave the Roman Catholic Church. The Early church fathers or Peter never mention rosary, brown scapular, Mary statues, sinless Mary, purgatory, Praying to the Mary or saints, water pouring over babies head for baptism, kiss a pope ring, priest forgiving sins( Christ only told the Apostles they can) and etc. AS a Protestant or a Catholic we all have bad history as a church. There is to much traditions for me. Catholic are christian and love the Lord but to much tradition that does't line up with scriptures.
The RCIA try to make us pray to Mary and saints but I said why if I can go to the Father. Why ask a saint to pray for me and then they go to Christ. Why not go straight to the Father. Yes, my parents pray for me but not to Mary or saints, they go to the Father. The RCIA teacher was very nice but after reading the early church fathers and I couldn't see the traditions that Catholic do.

Matthew, I appreciate your honesty. Could it be that you are looking at the oak tree (The Catholic Church today) and expecting to still see the acorn (The early church father's writings)?
Remember, Jesus said the Spirit would lead the church into all truth. We can clearly see that some things are not addressed either in the NT or the early church fathers. God example, the Canon list of Scripture itself which is found nowhere in Scripture or in the early church fathers u too Athanatus' Easter letter in 367 AD.
You already believe in the Eucharist. You won't find Jesus in the Eucharist in any Protestant church.
I would humbly encourage you to not judge the church today from the Apostolic writings. Their writings look more like the acorn. The church has been producing writings every century since then. The difference is now the church looks more like an oak tree than an acorn.
God bless you in your continued journey.

Catholicism has a few scriptural inconsistencies. 1. The pope (the vicar) is not in the place of God on the earth nor is his word infallible. There is a difference between the true church and the Catholic Church. Mary is not to be prayed to. We do not bow down to statues. Mary is dead, and Jesus is our advocate. When we go to heaven and the works are burned, you are missing the object of what’s happening here. This is when we are standing before the Bema seat of Christ. Our works will appear as precious gems but will not abide the fire that proceeds from Jesus IF those works were not genuine. They will either be made of wood and hay etc or be the real thing, and the fire will show what those works were. If they were false, it will burn, if they were genuine they will stay. That same fire will burn away anything that’s not like Him as well. Hope this helps. Ask questions, I’m here to help!! You’re very close to the kingdom of God.

    Matthew 16:16-20
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
Why did Jesus Christ say this? Was Peter the rock He was saying He would build His church on?
“That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church”
    This is the rock.
“Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”
The rock is the Father revealing the Son to an individual. Look at every other instance where a Prophet met the Word. It was supernatural and not of men. Peter was not given charge of the church. That is the place of One. Jesus Christ is building His Church. This isn’t “I hate Catholics!” It is I hate lies. The Lord revealed Himself to me supernaturally. He actually showed me in a dream that a Catholic man I worked with loved Him. But I am not Catholic and never will be.
When the Lord was talking to Peter He was talking to all of His disciples. Think about your earthly family while considering that all of the Church is God’s children. Do you know anyone who gives keys to one specific person in their house? Or do families usually give everyone keys to the house? All of my children have keys to my house. My youngest son lives with me and has keys to my vehicles and permission to use them if he needs to.
“I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:”
Catholic leaders say Peter was greatest but even the disciples argued over it. They didn’t know who was greatest and Jesus Christ was right in front of their faces. He is greatest. It’s an amazing way of aiming competitive hearts at serving others. You want to be great? Throw yourself at serving with everything you have and don’t think because you have a lot that you are greatest. Jesus showed with the woman who gave two mites that God doesn’t judge like men. Men look at numbers and they’re impressed. They look at the size of body parts and bank accounts and think “WOW! I gotta get me some of that!”
Matthew 23:11 The greatest among you will be your servant.
Why didn’t He say “Peter is the greatest! He shaaallll be the very first of may popes and his throne shall I make firm and blessed and the man whose behind sitteth there upon shall be blessed with comfort?” He gave 12 Apostles. He did not give one pope. That is clearly not the way Jesus Christ did things.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
This is the way Jesus Christ did things. Did you see Him or His apostles retire in a nice home in a walled city? Yes. After they were killed for eating what the world said was filthy. Why doesn’t the pope follow the Apostle Paul?
Let’s get back to those keys.
    Isaiah 22:21-22
21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
Catholic priests like to say those verses are about Peter but look at Revelation 3:7.
Revelation 3:7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘These things saith He that is holy, He that is true, He that hath the key of David, He that openeth and no man shutteth, and shutteth and no man openeth:
This verse is about Jesus Christ. He is the one with the key of the house of David. Why? Because He’s the prophesied Son of David.
    John 14:20-21
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
If men on earth are in Him and He is in them and they are in the Father but the Father is in the Son who’s in you where do you see this need for Peter to have special keys? All are in the body who sits at the right hand of God. And what does it say in 21? “I will love him (that single man) and we (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) will manifest (That is much more than head knowledge) myself to him.
After He manifest Himself to me in about 2015 I began spending more time in bed with Him than my own wife. I began reading and talking to Him constantly. Pray without ceasing is achievable if you meet Him like I have. I went to meet Him in quiet, secret places so I could tell people about Him. I went to cry and plead for people because He’s the only one who could help me and the people who can’t see what He was showing me.
I could never pray the Rosary after the relationship I’ve had with Him. The rosary seems so dead and lifeless. There’s no heart connection. The prayers I began praying poured out of my heart and His presence was so heavy on me I began waking up multiple times a night and rolling straight out of bed to my knees to cry and pray for everyone, starting with my wife and children.
There’s an eternity of fire for men who are not known by the Lord. He said there would be false prophets and different Jesus Christs. That’s what makes me question people leaving churches or denominations. Unless it’s for a good reason. Why are you looking for a denomination or church? Don’t you know Jesus Christ? If you know Him why does it matter where you are?
    John 4:21-35
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

    1. The Holy Spirit is not the result of the love between the Father and the Son. He's co-eternal. Sounds like a theory thought up by Jonathan Edwards but not as accurately communicated.
    2. Paul rebukes Peter when he sits with the gentiles. Scripture is our highest authority as stated in:
    "2 Peter 1:18-21
[18] we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain. [19] And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, [20] knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. [21] For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."
    3. Transubstantiation doesn't make sense. John 6 is where we find "I am" statements of Christ. When he says I am the bread of life, He calls us to believe, just like the other "I am" statements. Transubstantiation is illogical. How can Jesus be bodily in Heaven yet present in the eucharist? To take away from His body would rob Christ of his humanity - and we should not distort the object of our Salvation. If the elements become "additional parts of Jesus", then it's not actually his body. The reformed view of communion, as taught by John Calvin is correct.
    4. Purgatory is unnecessary because the Bible says that we will be transformed in the twinkle of an eye. Furthermore, the doctrine of imputed righteousness means we're covered in the righteousness of Christ, ensuring our confidence to stand before a Holy God.

I really don’t have much of an issue with Eastern Orthodoxy, but logically, it makes rational sense to have a bishop above all bishop. I believe this is a major reason why orthodox cannot call an ecumenical council. If everyone is equal, then nothing can get done. There has to be some type of hierarchy that can basically say “alright we are settling on this, moving on to the next point.” It just makes rational sense to me
