Thank you Fr. Murray!!! God doesn't make mistakes!! We do! We need his help badly! He doesn't need us to redefine Him! We NEED to follow His rules because he made us. A good father takes the time to lay down wise rules and discipline for his children to follow.
Yes, and I'm sure God would agree that when a father continues to abuse & mislead his children into many dangers that the family has a duty to somehow put an end to it.
I attend church at St Peter and Paul's in Tyler Texas and spoke with Bishop Strickland a few Sundays ago letting him know how greatful we were having him here. We all love Bishop Strickland there will be a Rosery Saturday the 18th for Bishop Strickland 🙏
@@admiralbob7797 Bishop Strickland has never said that Pope Francis is an antipope, in fact, just the opposite. Injuring another person's good name by lying is a grave sin. It is doubly sinful, in unjustly depriving another of his good name and in telling an untruth. Since calumny violates justice, it involves the duty of making reparation for the foreseen injury inflicted.
@@bksellers64 You're correct. It would be a sin - if what I said wasn't true (and to be clear, it is.) On October 31, he read the letter of a sedevacantist on his show, read it verbatim, then spoke favourably of it, not countering any of it. I will pray for Bishop Strickland, but eligibility for a role of governance in the Catholic Church does require being in visible communion with Rome. Bishop Strickland sadly surrendered that faculty of his own free will.
Does It Strike anyone else that Francis removed Bishop Strickland just before the meeting of the USCCB, in order to shut him up and to warn off any other Bishops to shut up and toe the party line? Pray for peace. Pray for the church. Pray for the conversion of poor sinners, who are being so left behind in this politicization of the One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church!

In other words, other bishops should engage in disobedience toward the Holy Father. This isn't a Catholic sanctioned behavior because it goes against the very substance of the Petrine authority.
I refuse to leave the Church, but at Sunday Mass general intercessions I murmured something incoherent on prayer for the Pope. The enemies of the Church attacking from within are a bigger threat than any external threat. Fr. Altman's references to a great millstone are easy to understand.
Do you think it's acceptable and feasible for a bishop to publicly call the pope a usurper and accuse him of leading the flock astray, and still remain in office?
I am a 77-year old consecrated Catholic woman (Fransican) and have loved the Traditional Latin Mass since childhood. What happened at the "Synod" breaks my heart. I am so grateful to have Father Murray's wisdom on Canon Law. I thank the Papal Posse for analyzing and explaining this.tragic situation. I stand with Bishop Strickland.
@@gertrudejude5474 If you're a Catholic who loves the Church, why would you stand with a bishop who has publicly denounced the pope and suggested he is a usurper? Thank you Father Murray and Mr. Robert for your in depth analysis of the ungodly moves of Bergolio regarding the unjust removal of Bishop Strickland from his diocese.
Now it seems that not only is the Vatican saying we should accept & BLESS sin, we need to mistreat good & faithful bishops. No wonder the church “ will be in such decline that it would seem there is no church.”
Thank you both so very much for your clarification on these vitally important issues that are plaguing our Church! I look forward to seeing you both this coming Thursday with Raymond! I'm sure I will see you there with all that's happening.
One massive advantage of being a lay person, is that the Pope can't fire me. We the laity need to voice to the Pope, our local Bishop and Priests that this is unacceptable and call them out and to resist. We as part of the body of Christ within the Church are stronger than most would think. We need to be a bulwark against this demonic agenda. This is what was meant when Bishop sheen said, "the Church will be saved by the laity."
Yes! Your observation and comment is the utmost important insight truly from the Holy Spirit. Would that it were proclaimed from the rooftops - ALL MEN & WOMEN OF FAITH CONTACT YOUR BISHOPS AND EXHORT THEM TO CORRECT THE SO EGREGIOUS AND UNEQUIVOCAL ERRORS THAT ARE CONDONED AND EVEN PROMOTED FROM THE BERGOGLIAN PAPACY.
I attended Holy Trinity Seminary with Joseph Strickland and fully support his refusal to resign and his forcing Francis to fire him. I think he did this to force the issue of Francis' heterodoxy to the surface. I think that it is the elephant in the room which can no longer be ignored. Just when we needed a very strong leader in Rome..........we have Karl Marx. Stunning.
I am a new Catholic 4 years and what I am seeing what this Pope is doing I am not happy. Bishop Strickland and many Godlymen are being persecuted while others that have did sin are still in their positions.
If Bp. Strickland was given his day in court and his defense was being prepared by a team of Canon lawyers, would they be permitted discovery and evidence gathering? I think Francis doesn't want any challenges because he knows he would lose.
“Judas obviously had ...a very great awareness of the fluctuations of power. In the beginning he was doubtless moved by religious enthusiasm but also by a sensitivity to the current state of affairs at a given moment. He sensed that the page had been turned, that the mood had changed, and he knew how to change sides at the crucial moment. This Judas is neither a master of evil nor the figure of a demoniacal power of darkness but rather a sycophant who bows down before the anonymous power of changing moods and current fashion.” [Joseph Ratzinger, Co-Workers of the Truth: Meditations for Every Day of the Year, ed. Irene Grassl, trans. Mary Frances McCarthy and Lothar Krauth (San Francisco: Ignatius Press, 1992), 359.]
Thankyou Robert and Father Murray. I think most practicing Catholics who take their Faith seriously feel this man, Jorge Bergoglio, whether he is a valid pope or not has been the worst nightmare the Church has experienced in centuries probably the worst on record. Due to the internet and social media, the actions of a bad pope are greatly magnified and his disasterous actions have an immediate harmful impact, much much more so than bad popes in the past. Bergoglio may be suffeing from mental disorders or lack of mental capacity as well as his perverse willingness to put children at risk in matters of sexual identity and to destropy the long held tenets of the Faith which put salvation at the forefront as the mission of the Church.
True, if Pope Francis isn't ambiguous or eluding in his words, there wouldn't be nightmare in our Church. Most of his statements are pretentious and in pretext.
It has long been suspected that Bergoglio has psychological and emotional problems. Angry outbursts with a Chinese woman in St Peter’s Square several years ago , along with a similar instance with a group of Mexicans is indicative of concern for his emotional stability. Add vindictiveness and public rebuttals in condescending terms to those who disagree with him are not signs of good mental health.
@@giovanniserafino1731Yes, this sort of thing is more invasive than most people realize. Note that Pope Francis points fingers at those who defend Church teaching against his dissent and accuses them of having mental health problems. Jesuit & Archdiocesan vocation directors have been doing this for decades.
Excellent program Robert and Father Murray. I'm not surprised by Bergoglio's removal of Bishop Strickland, but as discussed in the program the 'hows and whys' under Cannon Law is clearly a "top of mind" reality. Was it due to the Bishop's Latin Mass decisions or was it the conservative and outspoken Bishop's reputation? Bergoglio showed who he is the first week of his Papacy when he uttered, "We (Catholics) worry too much about abortion." Since then Bergoglio has shattered many of the Catholic Church ideals, covered under the veil of perhaps "keeping up with the times" or other progressive hogwash. Either you follow the Catholic dogma and the gospels of our Saviour or you don't. This latest uproar of 'blessing same sex couples' or 'baptism of trans people' should not in any way be surprising to Catholics who have come to expect this from Bergoglio. It is a very sad time for our Church. Pray for Bishop Strickland, Father Murray, Robert Royal...and Bergoglio, too.
With all due respect, please stop the useless labeling of Bishop Strickland for simply fulfilling his duties as a Catholic bishop. Contact your Bishop to do the same.
Our Lady of Akita, Our Lady of Fatima said we’d see priest vs priest, bishop vs bishop, but who ever imagined the church itself would try to undo 2000 years of Truth now? Sadly, the prophesy that if men don’t turn back to God, the church would decline such that it would seem as there was no church.
Thank you Fr Gerald Murray and Robert Royal for your insight and wisdom. The banishment of Bishop Strickland and the confusion surrounding baptizing the confused are outrageous absurdities. It is becoming more and more evident (if it was not before) that the current pontiff is bent upon burning bridges to Christ rather than serving as one for the flock, lost and otherwise, as is his sworn duty.
People who attended Jesuit Universities who were not swayed by worldly ideologies indoctrinated by their institutions have seen this going on for decades.
A conservative Bishop is summarily dismissed, yet: 1. Priests in both Belgium and Germany are blessing gay unions? 2. The Vatican says nothing? 3. Pope Francis advocated in favor of gay civil unions? 4. An Archbishop in Belgium advocated for euthanasia, in some circumstances? Pope Francis is a disgrace! What do we do? SSPX, Greek Orthodox, or Russian Orthodox, all of whom have valid apostolic succession?
Thank you Robert and Fr. Murray for this podcast and especially for providing some clarity around cannon law relative to the two topics discussed. This is certainly a sad time for our Church! I fear that the Pope's ambiguous statements and actions on same sex blessings, transgender baptisms, abortion, etc. has caused so much confusion and division that it can only lead us down the road to a schism. If you would, please continue to keep us updated on the 'facts' relative to these serious topics and what other Bishops (i.e. Bishop Robert Barron) has to say. Thank you!
@@sherryland3739 I certainly hope so. I've also heard that said of Bishop Strickland, and it's a cruel opinion of a godly (but imperfect) man who is doing is best to listen to God and live out the Faith.
As a singularly TLM attendee, only the TLM, I’m wondering how long it will take to make all faithful stubbornly intolerant of the terrible errors coming from the Pope? Will he have to celebrate the black mass? Will that cross the line? In my book, he crossed the line long ago. I don’t think we should sack him, just remove all who hold power under his spell. Excommunicate all of them, then watch what he does.
Pope Francis has been doing this for years. He has administratively sidelined many priests and bishops who appear to be a rival. Rumors from the Vatican say most don't want to be noticed because those who are noticed get punished.
All of this is causing problems for many of us in our family/ friends relationships... A friend telling me I am wrong-now- because I don't support same sex marriage or not using preferred pronouns etc. the Vatican might think this stuff is "compassionate or pastoral or merciful" but it's not. What is the purpose of Canon Law when it can be completely ignored ? This pontificate has been a disaster and makes one long for the “ good old days” of the Medici and Borgia Popes. Although personally sinful, at least they didn’t want to destroy the Church.

Brilliant discussion, as always. I am very concerned about Fr. Murray being removed because he is so clear in his reiteration of Church teachings. At times it seems that even a devout Catholic layman knows more theology than the Holy Father. I shudder even thinking this because it smacks of the sin of pride. Please, I beg of you Father Murray, be careful. Anyone who speaks out for orthodoxy seems to be removed from their post. If shepherds need to fear speaking the truth, you already have seen the answer to your wonderings. It may not be China exclusively but it is certain that the world is in the grips of an evil controller. Every Christian ought to recognize who that is and be praying and offering sacrifices for him to be rebuked. His influence and errors have grown and he has tentacles in each and every governing body, both secular and religious. I don't expect Fr. Murray to cave to that evil agenda. @@BrianBenson-rc9mu Brian, I really respect you for meeting with your bishop; and I agree with your first few objections. I'm sorry that the bishop failed in his duties to teach the Catholic faith. I will say, however, that your last few comments misrepresent Church teaching just as poorly as Pope Francis and the bishop misrepresented Church teaching. There's no such thing as "Novus Ordo" teaching and "TLM" teaching - Novus Ordo and TLM are different liturgical forms - they're not even different Ritual particular churches as both forms are part of the Latin-Rite Roman Catholic Church. I'm actually a Byzantine Catholic which is one of the other 22 Ritual Churches that are all part of the One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic Roman Church under the Pope of Rome. So as far as teachings on faith & morals - there are NO DISTINCTIONS between the Novus Ordo & TLM Latin Rite Church teachings and the Byzantine Greek Rite Church teachings - they all share the one deposit of faith. So some of the false teachings that you peg on the so-called Novus Ordo priest are unfair, inaccurate and even slanderous (which is a sin - and I'm glad you concern yourself about sin, we all should.) Pope Francis is the one who is in error because he wrote in his Abhu Dhabi document that "God wills a plurality of religions.". This is erroneous teaching, a novelty of Pope Francis. This is NOT a teaching from any of the 21 Ecumenical Councils. I actually would understand (though I think it's better to fight within the Church for correction) a Sedevacantist position because of Pope Francis; but I think you are ill-informed if you take a Sedevacantist position and claim that the Church has not had a pope even before Francis. You have nothing to back up the false premise that any pope prior to Francis has been heretical.
@@BrianBenson-rc9mu Here's proof that you're wrong regarding your last claim that "the 'Novus Ordo (which doesn't make sense in and of itself - see my prior comment) has defected from the faith following 1958 Catholicism would be the only means to salvation" --> BECAUSE THE FOLLOWING IS FROM SECTION #14 OF LUMEN GENTIUM WHICH IS A DOCUMENT OF VATICAN II FROM 1964: "14. This Sacred Council wishes to turn its attention firstly to the Catholic faithful. Basing itself upon Sacred Scripture and Tradition, it teaches that the Church, now sojourning on earth as an exile, is necessary for salvation. Christ, present to us in His Body, which is the Church, is the one Mediator and the unique way of salvation. In explicit terms He Himself affirmed the necessity of faith and baptism(124) and thereby affirmed also the necessity of the Church, for through baptism as through a door men enter the Church. Whosoever, therefore, knowing that the Catholic Church was made necessary by Christ, would refuse to enter or to remain in it, could not be saved."
Whats going on in the Catholic church has been prophesized. If we dont repent and shape up and follow Jesus 100% as He taught us and also follow Gods commandements, there will be a time that awlful things will happen to all the world that weve never seen before.
I can’t wait till Francis is gone. He’s leading our church down the wrong path and making it a shell of what it should be. I pray for his conversion every day as he is clearly misguided.
Life is a school of love. We were told to love our enemies. We were told our enemies would be in our own "family". If our enemy is currently leading the church (and has spread his tentacles right through the church), I/we can ask God to give us His Grace/Love in order to forgive our enemy for the pain and destruction he is inflicting/will do and to love our enemies, with God's love. May God give us His Grace to persevere, being faithful to the Gospel, and God's love, to run the race, fight the good fight. May God fight this battle for us and help us to love and forgive.
You are both always so measured in your responses and that is a blessing to us. Even if one thinks in terms of "accompaniment", can that even begin if the person rejects the Truth handed down as the Deposit of Faith and does not recognize the sin as sin? Can that happen if the person does not want to change? Isn't openness to healing and conversion and growth in virtue a prerequisite step? Also, there are not "2 political sides" here as we are being led to accept. There is no conservative nor liberal. People in both supposed camps have said things that are questionable. And some in both camps seem to reflect the Lord. There is either fidelity to Christ and the Deposit of Faith or everything else that is the wrong path. How is any of this making anyone fall more in love with Jesus? How did JESUS get sidelined by this very carnal issue and human feelings about it???
"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord." Reverse the trend and meet with your Bishop. If he peeps support for dissent from Catholic teaching, then come at him like a Mack truck. Unfortunately the Catholic Church is its own worst enemy. I am a convert to the Catholic faith. Returned a few years ago and got very disheartened by the dysfunction of the "family". I came back (second try!) in September 2023 and am now very firm in my conviction to not get distracted by all the squabbling. There is too much hate, misinformation, confusion. Ugh! 😢 I need the Church and access to the sacraments. There seems to be a growing number of Catholic priests turned celebrities on TH-cam which might also be a problem in itself.
Recent convert here. Bishop Strickland was my Bishop in Tyler. Most of us are sad and determined to see it right. Like you, I'm not leaving Jesus because of Judas.
There's no confusion about blessing people. Priest's are now encouraged to bless individuals whether or not they're living in a sinful situation. It's not a blessing to homosexuals as a couple, but as each individual. Blessings have power over curses. And we already have seen that Pope Francis has excommunicated a priest for overseeing a same sex union. Encouraging same sex marriages or unions continue to be forbidden by the Church. But each person needs to be blessed regardless of their current place on their spiritual journey. Blessings can only help, not hurt, someone to let go of sin and move towards holiness.
Can you please also do a video talking about the pope or Holy C is judged by no one because the full document was written many years ago, but it seems like we’re not supposed to say anything at least from what is written. I’m sure there’s something elsewhere please help.
My 2 cents: I think Pope Francis is off the rails, so to speak. What he did to Bishop Strickland is cruel and dictatorial. He should be ashamed of himself.
I had been trying to figure out this Baptism push would be other than a suggestion ? Any adult who wishes to join the church would need to meet with a priest and really talk this through and have to walk the path of the RCIA program. Somewhere through this starting It would have to be discussed that one would have to leave the sinful life behind to enter the Church willingly. Not sure that the to enter without going all the way through would make any sense other than to chip away of a Sacrament of the Church. I do not see without the program will work. Humility towards the Church, Reverence, Selflessness come to mind when I enter the Church. This Trans movement seem more Hell Bent on taking things over, and demanding things on their terms not what the word of God expects. Humility in front of the Bread of Life is not done dressed like you belong on the Jerry Springer show in pumps. Being in the Grace of God is far different than being within a persons selfishness and delusion.
"If your brother does something wrong, reprove him and, if he is sorry, forgive him. And if he wrongs you seven times a day and seven times comes back to you and says, “I am sorry,” you must forgive him.’" (Luke 17:3-4) As Zechariah foretold , in the Benedictus, St. John the Baptist was the Precursor of Christ because he was to 'bring salvation to his people by the forgiveness of their sins'.That is why we pray in the Our Father to forgive our sins as we forgive others, so that we too can be a precursor of Christ's Love.
It seems to me as if the last thing Francis wants to do is to promote the Gospel As a Catholic I will continue to pray for him, but I do believe that he is working very hard to destroy the Church..
Great show! Wondering what the cannon law is on mental illness. Can a person be baptized and receive communion? Would Transgender be considered in part mental illness?
I don't think you understand. They're proposing that Transgender people can be God parents for others to be baptized. Since Transgender people's mental illness is directly related to their rejection of their God-given bodies they aren't suitable to e Godparents. The only way they would be suitable is if they repented from their rejection of their God-given bodies - that would be a demonstration of mental health. Only if they reject Transgenderism are they suitable to be God parents as witnesses to Jesus Christ and His Self-Sacrificial Love.
Look, Strickland was fired because he severely criticized the pope, now it is not because he was a faithful priest and also nothing to do with trans people. He read a letter sent to him in public, and agreed with the letter in that it was critical by what he said about the pope. Perhaps if bishop Strickland had not read the letter and agreed with what letter said, not what these gentlemen are discussing here.

But I need to vote for Republican conservatives partly because leftism seems incompatible with Catholicism. At least progressivism does. It's clear to me that President Biden's policies are inconsistent with his supposedly(?) pro-life belies that he refuses to impose on anyone. Even if he signed a bill to outlaw all abortion, that wouldn't force pro-abortionists to be pro-lifers. Here's a strange thought for you to wonder about. I suggest that American conservatism is Lockean classical liberalism. If I'm right, maybe American conservatives only seem politically conservative. On the other hand, I think you'd be right to call me the American equivalent of an English High Tory. I'm conservative. But I'm not classically liberal. By the way, though the Catholic Church doesn't tell any country what kind of government would be best for it, she says monarchy is the best kind of government,
The Truth that gives me hope is that Jesus is in control. The historical church has seen much worse behaviors in priests, bishops and popes. May all of the Faithful become more holy and devout.
What is not mentioned in the podcast is the fact that Bishop Strickland read a letter to the Rome Life Forum that attacked Pope Francis' validity as the successor of St. Peter. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm sympathetic to this argument. But there is no way anyone can be surprised at Bergoglio's reaction to this provocative statement. I also agree, nonetheless, that Strickland deserved some sort of canonical due process. Bergoglio reveals his true authoritarian nature by taking the unilateral action that he did.
Yeah, and I think this was a gigantic deal. The bishop of over a million people read a letter that literally accused the Pope of being an illegitimate pope, and the bishop did not say anything about disagreeing with it. His reading and non-questioning of that accusation can vary literally only be taken as an implicit endorsement. As in, there's not even another way that anyone could logically argue that it should be perceived.
I left the Church of Rome behind many years ago. But, God, I never thought it could descend into the pathetic and shameful clownshow that it has become. Glad I did not waste my life in its service.
Apparently Anglicans treat their version of eucharist as having the function of confession. I recently heard an Anglican discuss the euchaist as something like being "medicine for sinners." Seems to me Bergoglio has used similiar sounding language in the past.
I am 76 years old and this is the last straw. I am no longer a practicing Catholic. This is an outrage, I am not happy with the toties at EWTN nightly news for their snarky reaction. I am sure Mother is displeased.
Please don't leave the Faith. If we do, Satan wins. We are all in the same boat. Find a truly Catholic parish. i have found a tradional catholic parish and it has been a lifesaver for me. The tradional catholic movement is growing my in my new parish I am surrounded with children and expectant mothers. I agree with you that EWTN is not what it once was. I wish Mother Angelica were still alive and at the helm. She would set the record straight on Pope Francis and his wayward cardinals and bishops!

That's why you're morally obligated to contact your Bishop.

A: Well he is doing diplomatic things to help the church.
My thought: I assumed he was the Pope and not a politician.
Q: I went to a Latin Mass for the first time and experienced the reverence of the Mass. I left there so confused on why a Mass so beautiful would be suppressed as I never heard of a Latin Mass while I was in the Novus Ordo religion. (Although I did not call is Novus Ordo religion since at the time, I still thought Novus Ordo was Catholic)
A: It needed to go as it was offensive to our Protestant brothers and sisters.

Why do Novus Ordo clergy say that practicing other religions you can still find eternal salvation but not Sedevacantism that makes zero sense to me.
@@BrianBenson-rc9mu Here's proof that you're wrong regarding your last claim that "the 'Novus Ordo (which doesn't make sense in and of itself - see my prior comment) has defected from the faith following 1958 Catholicism would be the only means to salvation" --> BECAUSE THE FOLLOWING IS FROM SECTION #14 OF LUMEN GENTIUM WHICH IS A DOCUMENT OF VATICAN II FROM 1964:
You need to meet with your Bishop otherwise you become part of the problem
You need to contact your Bishop, otherwise you're full of hot air and not sincere about addressing the obvious problems.
Please make a special interview on what would happen if in abuse of power, a bishop or Pope excomucates someone.
Please setup a meeting with your Bishop and stop wasting time! 🙏🏽
Why would the Pope remove Bishop Strickland but not remove Berman bishops who support the blessing of homosexual "unions"?
"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord." Our Lady of Akita, October 13, 1973
Man what is going on in the Vatican?
I’ve never seen you two without Raymond Arroyo.
I was at my friends for a luncheon she had. We were women who are Catholic, who have known each other for 20 years or more. One was a former Nun. She was also a teacher at a Catholic school. I knew she lived with other women who also was a former Nun. I did not know they were gay until that day. Was told they got married by Episcopalian Priest, How can one bless this? Tells me LBGQT are teaching in Catholic schools. I cannot bless this, God does not change and does not bless this. Anyway she is very active in getting all this passed in the Church. I just have a whole lot of prayer's going this way and that way. I do not like any of this kind of change.🥰🙏.
You know what betrayal feels like?
I'm a Catholic Republican.....Yep.
I think I'll change my career to a diesel mechanic. I spend so much time being thrown under the bus I might as well make a go of it.
Reverse the trend and meet with your Bishop. If he peeps support for dissent from Catholic teaching, then come at him like a Mack truck. Let all the liberal nonsense you've had to face give him a conviction for the fear of Almighty God and to "work out his salvation with fear and trembling." Remember that's only if he utters a peep of dissent.
All Catholics need to pray for The Holy Father and The Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops and our Priests~ Pray the Rosary as it is the best weapon against Satan and his minions.
I’m officially done with the church
NO MORE JESUIT POPES!
Some might add 'No more Jesuit order'. Their original force for holiness has been subjected since the middle of the last century to the pernicious influence of political enthusiasm and modernism.
I find things I hear coming out of the Vatican to be troubling.
We need God's help so bad. Pope Francis is very confusing...He's telling Priests to do something that's sinful.. He and the Bishops that are doing this are leading souls straight to Hell. There is no such thing as LGBTQ TRANS people .. God does not make mistakes and He never will.. Dear Jesus please come and clean up this mess. Sin has gotten very rampant. Please save the souls of Children from all this goddlessness that's being taught them.
American Catholics need to lead the way in ensuring transparency in the church. The people who run the Vatican seem accustomed to shrouds of secrecy…
You said it and I agree, "Deliberate confusion"
My 2 cents: I think Pope Francis is off the rails, so to speak. What he did to Bishop Strickland is cruel and dictatorial. He should be ashamed of himself.
Bergoglio is not a true man of God, that‘s very evident by what he permits
True the parish priest would need to approve and if he says no, he will be called a hater and may have legal consequences.
Yes - the obvious moral imperative: setup a meeting with your Bishop.
Why haven’t you commented on Opus Dei? Pope Francis changed Canon Law, why no comment? This is very important news for the Church.
the 2 words - Pope and Francis, used together is an Oxymoron.
There’s one person he won’t confuse that’s God almighty he has to answer to him
Many people don’t even see Francis as a legitimate Pope - me included.

Satan at work
I thought there was talk of Bp Strickland's finances were also being looked at. As you say, no reason stated. More non-communication and confusion.

"Obedience", Prayer, Penance, Faith, Humility & "Holy Respect"
Fr. Murray is right about the word "reactionary." But that word also denotes someone who wants to restore a previous kind of government. For example, a monarchist might strive to turn his republic back into a kingdom. I'm a native-born American who would love to see America become a kingdom, though I know it won't do that.
Republican, Democrat, then Monarchist,a follower of Christ the King. so who do you follow?
@@stuartwilliams3164 I'm a Catholic monarchist who follows Christ. A Catholic needs to accept at least one kind of monarchy because the Catholic Church is monarchic. Christ and the Pope are monarchs.
What about Democrats and Republicans? Well, since I'm a monarchist, I won't join any American political party.
Contact your Bishop - he's simply presented a valid concern!!!
I left the Church of Rome behind many years ago. But, God, I never thought it could descend into the pathetic and shameful clownshow that it has become. Glad I did not waste my life in its service.
It seems like they are trying to get rid of confession. Nothing amounts to a sin then there’s no reason for confession? 😳
One might care to ask if Someone Else shares that opinion that sin does not exist.
Apparently Anglicans treat their version of eucharist as having the function of confession. I recently heard an Anglican discuss the euchaist as something like being "medicine for sinners." Seems to me Bergoglio has used similiar sounding language in the past.
Who is " they"? You are a heretic.
@@johnhasley8008 oh yes you’re right
@@johnhasley8008 I replied on the wrong thread, oops. Well I know sin exists that’s why I go to confession.
Lord have mercy.
Careful Fr. Murray, they seem to be using the list of names who signed that letter that Bishop Strickland also signed. Michael Lofton has been going out of his way to promote this list and bring extra atrention to it.
NO, do not encourage cowardice! Setup a meeting with your Bishop instead!!!
@@MPFXTOh good grief calm down, I'm not encouraging cowardice I'm just giving him a heads up. Remember, it's easy for us to encourage our priests and bishops to put their livelihoods and vocations on the line to be our pet martyrs while we risk nothing.
@@SoggyDonuts79 You don't know my story I've risked everything for the sake of the Gospel. If you're not encouraging cowardice then prove it and stop encouraging cowardice by your silence when your bishop needs the encouragement and support - not your lame excuses because you'd rather make false accusations at people who are and have given their lives completely to the Gospel at great expense. The Church is where it's at because of clericalism that is supported by an effeminate understanding of the priesthood like yours. Shame on you. Your username is very fitting.
Lord Jesus, please come soon and save your Church!
Can the reason be mismanagement of funds? Or a decline in funds? Something to do with Money 💵?
Naturally, any infant or repentant sinner can be Baptized, including those who've previously sinned through mutilating their bodies even if done through sterilization or transgender surgery or any other sin. Every repentant human being is accepted by God.
Agree my friend
Doesn't the Pope have to give a reason before #Strickland is actually removed?
😇Everyone is a child of God!
We are not to decide who can be baptized into Christ!
