- Earlier this year I revieved all the 2021 Speed Champions sets and I loved them! Since this was the second year of the 8 stud wide era, I had to get all the 2020 sets as well to see where all this started.

100k special: room tour!
That'll be rather "packing the whole room again to move to the proper studio" ;)
@@RacingBrick Okay. So, do a video from your big collection or Lego advend calender Opening video!
These versions of Speed Champions sets are by far my favourites; far closer to looking like the real cars than they ever have. That said, the prices of the double car sets are all over the place; the huge price difference between sets like the Jaguar double pack and the Lamborghini double pack is weird.
Kinda wished for Toyota, the GR Yaris was chosen but this Supra is actually really nice. What I would like to see though is more rally cars to spice things up a little bit; hypercars and supercars are more eye-catching for sure but seems repetitive and most won't ever see the real car ever in their life. Like I never knew a McLaren Elva was a thing, despite being a fan of cars!
Something like a Mitsubishi Evo and a Subaru Impreza would be awesome, being the most famous rally car rivals of the 90s!
I would love to see those last two cars in the 2023 lineup. Ohhh that would be so good.
I hope they do a speed champions 1999 toyota corolla
You know what would be super cool? A giant garage for all the speed champions cars
i started to collect the 8 stud wide Speed Champions. It was a good choice from Lego to go further to wider cars. thx for this video :-)
Same. 8 stud are that little bit more detailed. Audi got my attention and now I just ordered 10 sets, including a few of the older 6 stud to match with my creator expert (F40/911/mini)
@@MrKlawUK i own the 6 stud F40 too and build a 8 stud F40 from rebrickable to compare. Result: i love the new 8 stud Speed Champions
The Speed Champions line is worth the price now with the shift to 8 stud wide before I gladly passed, it's definitely in my top 3 themes. The builds are truly great and the shapes/angles of the finished products look amazing. The change/shift to 8 stud wide was spectacular it allowed the designs to really get the accuracy they were lacking, I still need the Lamborghini set from the last wave.
This wave is fantastic possibly the best but the Lack of consistency in the dark red/maroon colour is a disappointment and the shaping of the McLaren is poor apart from this I absolutely love the theme. I want to buy the entire wave I'm not one to do that usually and the upcoming sets sound really good.
I do want to see more Rally cars, off road and Formula-1 sets tho. I'm not too bothered with the amount of hypercars/supercars hence the name speed championships and they look like the real thing. My favourite cars are the F8, Jesko and GT
RacingBricks, You made it to the top LEGO Technic channels on TH-cam in a very short time. You surpassed all others in terms of quality and enjoyability of your videos. Plus you are a very decent and kind person ✨.. you totally deserve it ❤️
Waiting for you to reach 100K subscribers soon to celebrate 😁🎉🎊
Speed Champions is what brought me into Lego with the Ferrari from the 2020 set.
My personal favorites are the Bronco and the Green Lambo I think the builds for those 2 really stood out for me. Still have some 2021 sets to pick up but we will get them soon!
Can't wait for the Countach and Aston Martin Valkyrie and Vantage double pack for next year! And i'm buying the 2021 dual molded wheels for all my 2020s.
My favorite 8-wde in terms of looks remains the F8. I think it not only did a fantastic job showcasing how 8-wides can improve the series, but it also had genuinely sexy curves considering the limitations of Lego.
My favorite 8-wide in terms of build would be the Jesko. It has an unique rear spoiler, an interesting way to split the front intake, and above all, a little extra Easter egg in the build.
Speed Champions can get pretty repetitive (especially in the rear), and unless we have some really whacky designs like the '68 Corvette, builds can start to lose their sense of wonder. This is especially true for some of the more boxy brick-stacking builds. I do believe it would be more and more of a challenge for Lego designers to come up with novel ways to shape the cars, which is really 80% of the fun with Speed Champion builds.
Great to see them all together for comparison like this 🙏
Great video! I love the 8 studs wide models and can’t wait for next years Elva and Countach.
Thank you for the great review of 2020 cars!
hmmm... my minifigure fits perfectly with helmet in the Ferrari Tributo
Mine too 😅
I’ve been a huge fan of Speed Champions since they started and made a point to get every single one released so far. Some GREAT sets, and I really like that they switched to 8-wide, it just adds to the detail even better!
I hope in the future we get more older muscle cars or classic cars. I’d really love a 1964 Impala and a 1969 Coupe DeVille, and I’d also love to see a 90’s Fox body Mustang! Whatever they make, I’ll keep buying them though!
There should come a remaster of Senna McLaren. The 6-wide was a masterpiece already, imagine it is an 8-stud version....
The Brickengineering Dude did it, go check it out it's priceless.....
Another great video! I absolutely love how Lego did the Bronco.
Without getting more shelf space I can't really get any more of the speed champion cars but I do want more of them. I know it is the worst thing about collecting lego
My 8 stud tributo can have to figs with helmets and the roof still fits
I know my fav quattro is now available, I appreciate it, PLEASE TELL CHRISTOPHER STAMP TO MAKE THE DODGE CHARGER HELLCAT or paul walker's skyline if you can :"D
Agreed a 100% Last two waves of Speed Champions were the first ones I've actually ever completed as all the models were all IMO interesting/fantastically built. Other than the realism I like the departure from 6 wide city styled cars most because of the two passenger seating. Never really liked the one driver sitting in the middle of the car design. Also compared to 2020 this years lineup was next level in design/technique. Really excited to build the 2022 wave.
i have the f8, among others, and the driver fits with his helmet on without a gap? am i the only one who didn't have this problem?
Oh no, I missed a RB video, good thing I found out!
I always thought it was funny how in the box art of the double car sets the starting light thing is facing the direction the cars are driving, which is backwards, because then the drivers wouldnt be able to see it. It's always been kinda funny to me.
I feel like this theme is under rated, probably because the sets aren't leaked until one month before the release, I really really hope Lego remakes all the 6-stud wide cars, it won't even be that hard for them
3:35 my local Lego store has this wind shield piece unprinted in the pick a brick section, I've bought two last time in case I do a MOC some day
Yeah 8 stud makes more room for details and making them look more realistic. We have 6 stud wide cars in Lego City lineup that are non branded versions and they fit perfectly for play more than Speed Champions
I like the new ones simply because they can seat 2 figures next to each other like a real car would
What do you mean there's a gap created when the Ferrari F8 Tributo's driver has his helmet on?
[runs into the other room to check the built model]
Son of a - yep, there's a gap. Dagnabbit!
Good catch on that one - my gap is < 1mm, but still noticeable now that you said something... guess the driver's helmet will need to rest on the passenger seat from now on!
I'm getting into the 8 stud wide Speed Champion sets. I'm new to the theme.
We just started our 8 studs Brick Racing League - the cars are very great (but there is a bit less action as in the races with the 6 studs Cars).
Speed Champions line look great! I think I'll sink my cash in one or three of those.
the 6 stud look like toys. The 8 stud look like display pieces!!!
could not have made a better choice, i am not a car guy, yet i am interested in a bunch of these, that would never have happened with the 6 stud.
Lego should release a new technic Formula 1 set.
Very nice videos:-)
I wonder what your thoughts about Stickern are... would you build These cars without them too or would you miss them stickers too much.
Ty for answering. Keep up the goodwork;-)
For Speed Champions stickers are quite important as they provide a lot of details, I'd definitely apply them
I still prefer the 6 studs wide cars, even if 8 studs are good as well
Aaaaagh, the 2 slopes missing on the back of the tribute are killing me, lol
They need to bring back the six wide. The 8 wide look great as stand alone displays, but they look dumb in a city, way out of scale. I wish Lego would offer both widths.
We need 8 stud trains and what usually are 6 wide in city theme (work vehicle’s etc), should be 8 stud lol
I have every single one except for the drag race car and dodge
Looks like you forgot two pieces on the back of the F8. They go where those studs are. Good comparison
12:45 blinking minifig?
12:46
As a collector of all Speed Champion sets, I also think the new models look better, but the minifigures should be left out since the cars are almost twice minifig scale. It just looks weird especially on the 4x4's. I wish there were more classic cars (which have less curves and could be made easier in LEGO form) and less modern hyper / GT race cars. Like cars that normal people could/can afford and not just the super rich.
P.S. My Ferrari F8 driver fits with just fine under the windshield with the helmet on.
That's interesting. Are you sure the top of the windshield is completely in line with the part behind it?
2023 looks promising, although I would really like to see the return of larger SC sets Ferrari Transporter in my opinion is still my favorite, but sets like Ferrari garage or Mercedes F1 Set
10:00 Haas in 2019? lol
incredible guy
It would be great if they could redo the older versions ngl
There are pieces missing on the back of the Ferrari Tributo.
wait you said in the vid that your mini fig does not fit well in the f8 tributo mine fits very well
Supposedly, there are four $20 sets and one $40 set coming in January 2022. My money is on Forza Edition repaints, like we got a few years ago.
Four $20?
Nice video
They should rebuild the f40 , i have one but the scale is really poor
Now I'm thinking, why'd Lego include a Urus when they could've done a Countach or a Murcielago.
They have a countach now😂
Hey Balazs, did you know that, related to the Nissan GT-R Nismo, the livery that it has is the one on the actual Nissan when it set the world record of the fastest drift ever ?
Didn't know that, thanks for sharing!
Dont know how u made yours, but in my F8 Tributo driver sits inside with helmet on his head pretty normal
Yeah me too, I've never had that issue he was talking about and went to the comments to see if I was the only one
At 4:43 I'm pretty sure you built the Ferrari incorrect or have some other issue because in other reviews the Minifigure can fit in the car with the helmet
8wide are my favorite. But when are we getting a BMW??? Ofc we got the bike, but what about all the iconic bmw? Can the bmw fans get atleast 1 set? E30 m3? Hell, id shut up if I could atleast get the m2.
Is there a way to get the 2020 stets?
I really want them
the problem with the formula e could be fixed by using the new wheel covers
I am still looking to get that Speed Champions Bugatti chiron, I want it so bad but it retired so long ago.
Did u find it? I have one for sale
@@DreamHarmonyHub you do?
@@DreamHarmonyHub sorry for the late reply but if you do, im interested
I like the looks of the 8 stud wide cars more, but they just don't work in Lego cities and for me that's a Big negative.
I really don’t know what you’re talking about with the F8 Tribito… I got my mini figure to fit perfectly fine with the helmet on.
Got a photo? Removing the legs or the "seat" behind the figure doesn't count :)
@@RacingBrick yeah! Hold on!
@@RacingBrick where can I send you the pictures?
@@jakersrule7267 you can see my e-mail address if you click on the about tab of the channel
2022 set are >>>
wish i could buy these, but its expensive af in my country
Hopefully someone can help me out as I'm new with Lego Speed Champions. It looks like ALL those 8 studs wide models has the same 12 studs wheel distance (axle-axle). Is that correct? It's because I'm looking for an alternative body to put on RC motor 4540125 (bb0396c01) that I ask. This RC motor has a wheel distance of 14 studs.
You are missing 2 pieces on the f8
I like both
Hi
Cool
Hey! Why your collections SPEED CHAMPIONS in 2020 you don't make video?
Why I did not make the video in 2020? Because I did not buy these cars back then.
Oh
4:43 my son made his McLaren Elva have a windshield
And it made the lego figure not fit without removing the head rest
The rally car is missing a one by one stud...
Well, it's a rally car, thank God it's not missing the complete front end ;)
@@RacingBrick Yeah you're honestly very right haha
I have the laferrari and porsche spyder
Where’s the Porsche 911??
👍👍
I have all 2020 sets
we already have a list of 2022 speed champions cars
Good for you! I rather wait for the official release ;)

Lehetne magyar felirat is, hátha több itthonit is elérnél biztos számít valamennyit az is a YT algoritmusba. :)
Be lehet kapcsolni a magyar fordítást, még instrukció is van hozzá a videó elején :) Nem 100%-os a dolog és tudom hogy mobilon nem működik, de ahhoz egész jó hogy megértse valaki ha az angol nagyon nem megy.
