Bryan Adams - Wembley Live 1996
It was July 27th 1996 and a sell-out crowd in excess of 70,000 welcomed Bryan Adams to Wembley Stadium on his “18 ‘Til I Die Tour” in support of the multi-platinum album of the same name. “18 ‘Til I Die” had been released a few weeks earlier and hit the No.1 spot on the UK Albums Chart and gone Top 5 right around Europe. The show opened with the album’s first hit single “The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You” and straight away the stage was set for an energetic, hit packed performance which was received with wild enthusiasm by the huge crowd. This is a legendary show for Bryan Adams fans and is now finally being released on ALL FORMATS for the first time.

Rock it
My Grandfather toured with Bryan Adams throughout the majority of his career doing security among other things, @Bryan Adams, receiving condolences personally from you when he passed was very touching. RIP Harley Stewart.
Rest in peace ❤️
Your grandfather probably went with Bryan Adams and his group in manila ,Philippines ,1991 ,the first ever manika concert I ever seen . Rip for ur grandpa man
☹️ sorry
weird comment to write on youtube
Holy shit
Who is still listening to this masterpiece in 2024. Just like this comment to mark your presence 😀
This is how a concert is made, without big lights and dancers.
Just a man with his passio, his t - shirt and his guitar singing with the audience and NOT LIP SYNCING.
And no cellphones ahahaha
Bryan is simplicity
And real music
How far we have fallen.
Zeer rommelig en stoorend
Even now.. ?? I was not even born at the time when this song was released. Now my son is listening to this almost everyday, along with me.. 😀😀
❤❤❤
😀😀😀🤘🤘🤘
Hello, how are you doing, are you one of my fans and supporters at there
If you've eve been fortunate enough to be at a HUGE show like this, you know that nothing sounds more awesome than the crowd singing along like at the beginning of this song. It's such a powerful experience.
😀😀
No smartphone in sight, just enjoying the concert!
I sure do wonder why.
A largely 80's band, playing in the 90's, singing a song about an older person, reminiscing about the 60's, when he was experiencing love and life...fully for the first time and wishing he was there again. If that doesn't resonate with all of humanity, no matter what year you were born... I'll never know what will. This is my music.
this comment deserves more likes
Underrated comment!
Emmanuel and Nihal, totally agreed! One of the best (live) songs ever
To be fair this song has nothing to do with reminiscing about the 60s...
Beaudy101 in 1969, Adams was 9 years old lmao
The fact that the crowd didn't need him to sing speaks volumes about his influence.
Sure, but to be fair, I wouldn't pay £80 to sing someone else's songs on their behalf while they're stood right there on stage...so get on with it or I'm out.
@@jackclements2163 u must be fun at parties
@@jackclements2163 it's about the atmosphere man. The goosebumps when the whole crowd is singing.
I was at this concert!! The best atmosphere I’ve ever witnessed. Spine tingling
It was incredible. I had bruised ribs, aching legs and no voice for days after.

Really. .how he looks?? Plz tell me.. I want to see him..
@@GillianTordoff plz tell me more..
You know that it’s an awesome concert when someone can remember it 25 years later.
Get this dude into the rock and roll hall of fame asap. He is WAY overdue one and this performance from the 90s is just one of many examples why he needs to be....the crowd, the engery, the music, how infectious it all is, speaks volumes
They let rappers and country singers in but not him, a travesty.
I second the notion!!!✌
You have my sword...
I'm third at the notion!!! 🤟🤟🤟
He should be, in the rock n roll hall of Fame.
How the hell is this guy not in the rock and roll Hall of Fame?????
HoKage_888 I’ve been asking that same question for years. Obviously a political thing I believe. You look at some of the other artists in there and just shake your head. For Bryan to be omitted is just a shame.
Seriously? He isn't? Travesty. Saw him live five times - always fresh, always fun, worked his ass off for the whole set. The best days of my life!
That's nuts, even Tupac and Notorious Big are in there 😕
It's all political and music heavyweights that dictate the hall of fame. Even grandmaster flex is in there. It took decades for Cheap Trick to make it in. It's BS
Who cares about that Hall of Fame. Madonna is there but not artists like Bryan Adams and Iron Maiden. That says a lot about the Hall of Fame
This must be one of the greatest concerts ever?! Jesus this crowd is epic.
He always draws big crowds. I've only seen him once, unfortunately, but it kicked ass!!!!
English crowds r the best
Really, Iconic Wembley stadium
I was there.... it was one of those days that stay with you for ever

The man is 60, still does concerts, and continues to rock it. He is long overdue to be in Rock and Roll Hall if Fame.
Elaine Cragel Status Quo are 70+ and nothing from them and they are British Rock and Roll legends but get no recognition. Hopefully Bryan gets something 🤷🏼♂️
I really enjoy Bryan Adams I am a lomgtime fan. I know in Quebec he is really popular. What is he regocnition outside Canada?
I thought his laval, Quebec, canada show was dead by Coronavirus. But it wasn't Cuz it healed
@@cristianeportela6460 Right now, BA is not touring because of the virus. Once restrictions are lifted concerning flying, he'll be back in the road. He did an interview last year, and said he is rarely home.
Branners, I agree with you He really made his mark in the United States, when he started his career, When he received a star on Hollywood Blvd, he thanked Journey for giving him his break in 83. The guy has never changed. I really have respect for him as an artist.
Imagine being an African man who lived his whole life in a small country called Lesotho🇱🇸 regarding this song as one of the greatest ever! This song was released when I was only 4 months old, 38 years ago. Knew it, listened to it and loved it since I was a toddler, and it's the only song I know from start to finish that my DAD loves. One of the greatest rock and roll songs of all time. Bryan Adam's still out there performing today.
Timeless classic
I don't think he himself realises what he has given to the music world. ❤️
The way they played those guitars gives me goosebumps ❤
Jumping around goofing off clearly having fun, yet still flawlessly making some of the best music ever recorded. Legend! 🤯🤯
Still listening to this tune Monday 25 March 2024. Reminds me of how much I would have had our band back in 1971 play at the chances we had but I blew it. This song reminds me of how great it was to be a guitarist for the only band in our town that got the honor to do intermission for 5 (five) bands intermission. I always remember those days, regardless of this tune. But this tunes is so great even today. Wish we had sounded as powerful as they sounded back then. Hats off to Bryan Adams and Group of excellent musicians.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙊🙉🙈😎💥🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I got my first real six string
Bought it at the five and dime
Played it till my fingers bled
Was the summer of '69
Me and some guys from school
Had a band and we tried real hard
Jimmy quit and Jody got married
I shoulda known we'd never get far
Oh when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Yeah, I'd always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life!
Ain't no use in complaining
When you got a job to do
Spent my evening's down at the drive-in
And that's when I met you, yeah
Standing on your mama's porch
You told me that you'd wait forever
Oh and when you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life!
Back in the summer of '69
Man, we were killing time
We were young and restless
We needed to unwind
I guess nothing can last forever
Forever, no!!
And now the times are changing
Look at everything that's come and gone
Sometimes when I play that old six string
I think about you wonder what went wrong
Standing on your mama's porch
You told me that it'd last forever
Oh and when you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life!
Back in the summer of '69
It was the summer of '69

@@ShadyGrady3 disagree, I follow rock song closely and the last year before this genre died on mainstream is in 2008.
Since then, no rock song turning mainstream. In 2007 we got plenty of great rock band that's has deep meaningful song

Well hell, that was f’ing incredible. And also, at this moment in my life, heartbreaking. I never actually thought I would miss being young.
This song is amazing. When you are young and getting your first gf, drinking your first beer and stuff you LOVE this song. When you get older you look back and this songs suddenly changes its meaning; making you sad at times..

To walk out onto the Wembley Stadium stage to 100,000 people singing perfectly the words to one of your Classic Songs had to raise a 2nd. Layer of Goosebumps for Bryan - What a great song performed by a Fabulous Talent.
It was incredible. There were 65,000 people in Wembley Stadium that day, my bruised ribs can vouch for the ones on the pitch surging forward when BA came on stage. The front 5 or 6 rows were hardened BA fans who had toured with him for years, same regular faces at gigs during the 90s when I was one of them.

Such a great live performance. No lip syncing or auto tune here. This is how it was once done kiddies.
Wonder what happened? I mean, this was filmed yesterday, and already everything's turned to shit.
Ernie Simpson maintenant toujours
Ernie, bands have been lipsyncing for TV specials since the 60s - The Monkees, The Byrds, The Beatles, etc.
And if you think this is how music "was" done, then sounds like youve been going to the wrong concerts.
You tell those kids, Ernie! Damn straight and right on.
Indeed. And if you watch it closely, there are parts where his guitar "playing" is not in sync with the music track at all. Not a problem -- just sayin'.

Fan Made Videos I was in England around this time. I was just 15..had my first girlfriend over there that summer. fucking awesome. although now seems like British people hate Americans lol or dislike their ways...back then even during the whole oasis scene they fuxking loved Americans. wanted to be like us and imitate us in anyway. I swear I was treated like royalty over there. specially in Dublin when they heard my American ass accent ordering drinks or food there was always people trying to be nice a become friends. very nice country. UK rocks.
