New parents here . Double income first kid : the amount of criticism and just BS I’ve gotten because we did this was ridiculous. because we feel it’s financially savvy to wait until she actually sleeps in her own bed and room to buy furniture. This video is the validation I needed I’m doing the right thing ! Thank you !
I am 25 weeks with my first and getting scared because people have been asking what I've prepared for my coming baby. With my current situation, we won't have any nursery. You have put me in more peace to know that i won't need much for the baby. Thank you!
I'm 21 weeks and also in a very small studio apt. I am definitely getting asked have a put a nursery together for baby yet. I don't think people get that I live in a studio!! I hope things are going well for you!
I'm 32 wks with my 4th baby. This time around I have focused on used NB items even 0-3 month clothing just because most times they grow out of it or they are washed and used once. I was gifted a used doc a tot which I was planning on buying new but this one is practically new I washed the fabric like new. My last item is a mini crib my apartment is small so that is what I have room for hoping to find a good on that crib 😊
My mom's family had 11 kids in a 2 bedroom house. This was a longggg time ago but they were the best of friends throughout their lives. We still laugh about how completely crazy that must have been 😊🤣
Thank you so much!❤ I'm having my second kid and we just have a crib near our bed, a diaper bag we also use at home as a changing basket with a foldable changing mat and a gymplay. 😊 A carrier, a blanket, a carseat and done !
Hi! I cant believe I already watched your videos over 3 years ago when I was expecting my first! I am now 35 weeks pregnant with my second and stumbled on your video while searching for ideas to set up babys “nursery” in our smallish bedroom 😊 This time round i felt like i needed a baby changer/dresser and its taken up quite a bit of space in our bedroom 😟 but hey ho I’ll make it work. Your video has definitely inspired me and given me a good dose of reality check cos there is waay too much OTT content out there 😍 thank you. Already subscribed literally over 3 yrs ago go xx
You explain everything soooo well. I don't need the info because I am done and have 3 already but for those that do, it's perfect. And a lot of moms might do it just like you do, so your step by step is perfect!!
Love the simplicity of your set up. Great for new moms to watch this. Another thought 1 load of laundry would wash a weeks worth of newborn clothes, blankets & more! Best of luck with baby #4
Thanks a bunch, this is so helpful cos I’m expecting baby number 3 in a 3bedroom with little or no space in my bedroom to setup a nursery being panicking but this is a huge relief
I have six children and I had less and less ‘baby stuff’ each time. I wore them in a carrier for the first year and they co-slept with me and I breast fed on demand and used cloth diapers. The baby stage just flew by especially when I was busy with other little ones as well.
What was your favorite cloth diaper style and brand? Thanks! It's been 15 years since I cloth diapers my first, and I KNOW a LOT has changed in the cd world since then! ❤
On #4 myself and 35 weeks and this is so reassuring! Everyone keeps asking about a nursery set up and I’m not planning on changing anybody’s rooms until he is probably one 🙈
First and foremost; your kittens were adorable! They made me laugh out loud. I’m excited to share this video with my daughter who is having her first baby. You truly don’t need as much as everyone says. I hope your children are all doing well. Thank you. 🙏
I needed this video today 💕 I’m having my second after 9 years and I just don’t want all the extras this time around. My first never slept in his crib. We want to stay in our smaller home. We have lots of love to give and want to focus on the bare necessities.
I'm having my 2nd after almost 16 years! 😂 I feel the same way though, about wanting to keep it minimalistic this time around, so this video was extra helpful! We also have a pretty small house too! ❤
Of all the nesting videos I have been watching now that I’ve hit my 3rd trimester, this is the most helpful. You show what the needs are and it’s not complicated, also I love how you aren’t trying to sell me something. Bless you ma’am! 🙌🏻🩵
So you boil that bag and that metal dot inside will reset. No charging needed. After the boil you click the metal dot again and it heats up again. I was at sams one day and got suckered into buying feet heat pads. They were the same concept just foot shaped.
The nipple heating pads. The metal circle "pops" back and forth. That is what makes it hot. They can be cold as well. Mine (old heating pads like that) didn't plug in. You just boiled them back to gel. Hope this helps
I have a small apartment and we have teenagers in our other room but since the baby is gonna be in my room for probley the first year then I will worry about moving so thank you for making me feel better about my situation
My sister is having a baby boy. We all found out when she was 30 weeks. She's very limited to space and she still lives with my mom and dad. I just pulled out all my baby clothes from my two.
I'm due with baby 4 on Sunday and I'm just trying to patiently wait, kinda failing tbh 🤣 Loved seeing someone else in the same spot as me, nothing crazy, already have what I need just waiting on the little person. By the time you're on your third or fourth you just feel more relaxed 😌
LOVEEE this video & how you normalize using what you already have. I’m getting so much flack bc I am reusing my 3 yr old pack & play and some of my daughters gender neutral clothes. Like I’m trying to be realistic here and I right now we don’t have a nursery nor can we afford to just buy a ton of new items smh!
Don’t be ashamed. I’m pregnant with my first and I’m planning on buying used items (swings, bouncers, high chair) through garage sales as long as they’re gently used/clean. There’s nothing wrong with finding cheaper options or reusing materials…especially in this economy😭 best of luck!
Great video ❤ I’m 32 weeks with baby #2 and I have nothing ready… I just believe wait till the baby is hear safe and sound until I go out and get stuff 😂
I am so curious to see the size of my next baby due in July! My daughter was 7lbs 14oz and 21 inches. Everyone told me I wouldn’t need much newborn diapers or clothes but she ended up being in both for over a month! She was actually swimming in newborn for the first week and a half and needed premie. Luckily I had those passed on from another friend
You have to boil it to get it to go back to normal. Boiling it turns it back into a liquid. I put a wash cloth on the bottom of the pot I'm boiling it in to protect it. Let it cool completely. When you need it again, click the little metal disc in it and it will get hot again.
This is giving me baby fever lol, and also flashbacks of all the postpartum body changes that are tough and painful! Congrats on baby, hope all is well
Just so everyone knows the frida mom breast kit doesn't come with those supplements...whoever gifted that to you must have put them in the box. The supplements are a different brand called legendairy milk...they are good. I just didn't want you to be confused.
Im a second time mom and i do see a suffication hazzard with the swaddle me. A baby needs a flat and firm surface to sleep on. Every product does expire sadly
Most honest room setup, much needed for those pressured parents!! I’ve got 5 kids, THIS IS ALL YOU NEED.
I think so too! Keep it simple.
Expecting my 5th also. Too true. All you need.
Agree mom of 3 here

Yup I am not buying a crib until she’s at least 3 months old now if someone wants to gift it to me that’s fine 😅
Thank you for showing people that you don’t need a million “things” for a new baby. They need milk, love, clean diapers, some sleepers, and a blanket.
Absolutely!!
Your cats were great entertainment. So cute!
They are!
I am 25 weeks with my first and getting scared because people have been asking what I've prepared for my coming baby. With my current situation, we won't have any nursery. You have put me in more peace to know that i won't need much for the baby. Thank you!
You definitely don’t need a lot!
I'm 21 weeks and also in a very small studio apt. I am definitely getting asked have a put a nursery together for baby yet. I don't think people get that I live in a studio!! I hope things are going well for you!
I really appreciate you for doing this vlog. -from a first-time mum who's trying to be frugal
This is perfect!! I have 5 kiddos and you really don’t need all that extra stuff!! Praying for a safe delivery and recovery!
Thanks so much! 😊
Having my 1st, and your video has been the most helpful/aligned with what I want to do once my little one arrives.
Such a great video for new Moms to be! I wish I would’ve had this years 11 years ago to help me! ❤
Glad it was helpful!

Louie is so happy you put up the packnplay for him.
Haha!
I had my last baby in 1973 so this was interesting at what y'all have now. things for babies and Mom's have come a long ways.
thanks for watching!
My mom's family had 11 kids in a 2 bedroom house. This was a longggg time ago but they were the best of friends throughout their lives. We still laugh about how completely crazy that must have been 😊🤣
Oh that does sound crazy AND fun!
Holy moly! I bet there was chaos, but a LOT of love in that small home! ❤
praying for you,Abby. Hoping for a quick and safe delivery.
She already had the baby, check out her Instagram.
Thank you so much!
I really like your setup, it's minimalist ❤ only the necessary things you need fr a baby
This is super helpful. Pregnant with my fourth and also baby will be in our room. Minimalist is what I'm all about at this point lol
Thank you so much!❤ I'm having my second kid and we just have a crib near our bed, a diaper bag we also use at home as a changing basket with a foldable changing mat and a gymplay. 😊 A carrier, a blanket, a carseat and done !
I’m currently pregnant with my fourth and I couldn’t agree more! Keep it super simple. The more babies I have, the less I use.
I totally agree!
Thank you!! First time moms NEED this help from 4x moms!!! So helpful! I love how interested the kitties are :)💗

This 👏🏻 is 👏🏻 all 👏🏻 you 👏🏻 NEED!

Really loved this minimalist approach ❤ so refreshing to know you don’t need all the things we are told we do and that it really can be more simple 😊

Can’t wait to see baby in a video!!! Prayers for a quick recovery and restful nights.
Thank you so much!!
This video makes me feel so much better about not having tons of things but the essentials for my 3rd baby ❤️❤️
I wish I just had essentials but my family gave me sooooo much extra stuff at my baby shower 😅 I even got a pajamas that’s size 2T
I have six children and I had less and less ‘baby stuff’ each time. I wore them in a carrier for the first year and they co-slept with me and I breast fed on demand and used cloth diapers. The baby stage just flew by especially when I was busy with other little ones as well.

Love your video. Well, seasoned, experienced Mama's. Thanks for being real, we don't need all the fluff
So you boil that bag and that metal dot inside will reset. No charging needed. After the boil you click the metal dot again and it heats up again. I was at sams one day and got suckered into buying feet heat pads. They were the same concept just foot shaped.
Oh awesome!!
Had my first in 1987 & stuff sure has changed!
I bet! But the essentials stay the same :)
This is a great way to use the space you have. I will be doing the pack and play as well upstairs in my office for during the day. Thanks for this!!
The nipple heating pads. The metal circle "pops" back and forth. That is what makes it hot. They can be cold as well. Mine (old heating pads like that) didn't plug in. You just boiled them back to gel. Hope this helps
Thank you!!
Very helpful video !! Esp for small spaces, less items less clutter 👍
Those pill are great they helped me! Thank you for being so real and being you!
You are so welcome!
I have a small apartment and we have teenagers in our other room but since the baby is gonna be in my room for probley the first year then I will worry about moving so thank you for making me feel better about my situation
Congratulations on baby boy! Babies don’t need much his momma and family ❤❤❤❤
Agreed!
Literally due to be induced tomorrow morning 😅 I’m set up
MOSTLY other than needing to set up final stuff like a basket full of diaper changing stuff
I can't wait to see baby boy in a vlog! 💙💙💙 Hope you're enjoying all those baby snuggles and cuddles. 🤗🥰💙💙
Did I miss where she said she's having a boy?
I am!
Love the cats helping!
Me too!!
My sister is having a baby boy. We all found out when she was 30 weeks. She's very limited to space and she still lives with my mom and dad. I just pulled out all my baby clothes from my two.
Hope this helps/gives some ideas!
From experience.....Lots of water, prenatal vitamins and rest is the best formula for breast feeding. Sleep when the baby sleeps is best :)
Good tips!
I'm due with baby 4 on Sunday and I'm just trying to patiently wait, kinda failing tbh 🤣
Loved seeing someone else in the same spot as me, nothing crazy, already have what I need just waiting on the little person. By the time you're on your third or fourth you just feel more relaxed 😌
Fingers crossed! You got this!

Awesome I need that light
Great video and setup! I imagine those warm packs would be amazing to help milk flow while pumping as well!
Definitely!
The warming packs you can boil and they will go back to liquid form. They are reusable!
Awww you're always short of breath at the end of your pregnancy 😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭 hoping for safe delivery and easy recovery for you both 💚💛💚💛
Thank you!! We're doing well :)
I have one child, I know fully well that I am never having another, yet I watched this entire video and enjoyed it thoroughly 😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is giving me baby fever! 🥰
Haha!
I just want to say that I really enjoy your channel, congratulations and stay well
Thank you very much!
The heating pads, the gel pads… you pop the metal coin thing and it activates them. Boil for a few minutes to reset them.
Thank you!!
Great video ❤ I’m 32 weeks with baby #2 and I have nothing ready… I just believe wait till the baby is hear safe and sound until I go out and get stuff 😂
You’ll be fine, there’s always Amazon and target pickup. You’ll get what you need as you need it
You got this!
Aww! I'm curious to hear too!

Soon to have #6 and this will be me lol glad to see I’m not the only one
The kitties are ready for the baby 🍼🐈
Haha yes they are!
This is giving me baby fever lol, and also flashbacks of all the postpartum body changes that are tough and painful! Congrats on baby, hope all is well
Thank you!! 😊
That pack and play is awesome!
I think so too!!

The heating pads need to be boiled to return to normal. When you break the metal disk it causes a reaction that makes it get hot.
Thanks for the info!
Your such a great mom.
Thank you!
This was super helpful and straight to the point, thank you so much ma'am 😊
Thank you im having my first and im really trying to avoid having thing I don't need.

Ma’am I thought you had some loving tan bronzer in the caddy 😂😂😂 essentials 😏😂❤
Haha!
Girlllll I'm. Currently trying for baby number four I have 5,3,1 year olds 😑😩
I never used newborn diapers my kids were born at 10lbs 8oz and 9lbs 6oz and 23 inches and 21 inches 😳
Does the baby sleep in the pack and play too?
100%! love this :))
The warmer packs are chargeable! The charger is for the boobie vibrat0r !
ohhh!!
Haha how do you keep cats out when baby is in pack n play?
I shut the door
❤❤❤❤
I thought snuggle me and stuff like that were not safe for babies to sleep in or at least all night?
It's not. Please follow the manufacturer's advice no matter what you see online.
That Baby Boy is gonna be at least 8.5---9 pounds !!!
Hmm!
Just an FYI the boppy newborn pillow has been recalled :( I still used mine but i thought it was important to share ❤️
Thanks for sharing!!
Do u need pads if u have a c section?
Yes! Your uterus will still shed and clean out
People really do go excessive for a baby. They don’t need alllll the stuff.
True!
U havin a boy or girl n what's the name gonna b?
She had a baby boy Sunday. ☺️
@@Blessedgal_3897 Awesome ty. I'm so behind on video's
It was a boy! We named him Van.
@@thesimplifiedsaver I heard ty. N congrats 👏. I'm behind on video's
how is he "setting it up for you"? it's his baby too......
Numbing spray...not excited
Im a second time mom and i do see a suffication hazzard with the swaddle me. A baby needs a flat and firm surface to sleep on. Every product does expire sadly
Cats smother babies it a such thing they do out of jealousy so please be careful with the cat in the pack in play
