You’re so organized and capable!… The next time somebody tells me they’re pregnant I’m going to recommend all your videos for a complete how-to guide covering pre-birth and after birth!
Exciting!! Unsolicited advice time from a mom and nurse…sorry! I breastfed several babies-and I’d say don’t eat any milk-making bars until a couple weeks out, and only if you need it! You’ll be shocked how much milk you can make when it comes in on day 3-ish. Also don’t plan on being “confined” to bed-take time to rest, but please also keep your circulation moving to prevent blood clots. You’ve got this!!! Best wishes!
This! I had a preemie and saw multiple lactation consultants. They all said that the only way to increase and/or keep up your supply is by nursing or pumping. If you want a cookie, have a cookie, but you don’t really need it to keep up your supply. They were right!
So excited for you!!! One of the best pieces of postpartum advice I was told by another mom was: make sure you use the bathroom BEFORE you sit down to breastfeed your baby. It seriously helped me so much! 😅
Wow Nine months already! I can’t believe it! I’m so excited for you.❤❤❤ and love the nursery and your set ups that’s so smart and everything is beautiful.😊😊😊
I never knew that so many things were needed after giving birth 😮. I never became a mother so that is why I didn’t know, but I never learned that from friends either. So are so well prepared ❤. And wow 9 months already 😅…wishing you a good birth of your little boy 🩵🩵🩵
Mom hack that saved my life: was putting a super sealed cooler with ice packs or mini fridge bed side to stash the parts of my breast pump so I didn’t have to clean the pump parts between pumps and also to put the milk.
I am currently 8 months pregnant and have been absolutely loving these videos! Currently feeling a little overwhelmed with all the baby bits and organizing that needs to be done but these videos truly make me feel so at ease. Happy Easter to you and Christopher! 🐣
a nursing pillow was an essential for me! breastfeeding or bottlefeeding, it helps a lot ❤ i also recommend not getting too many clothes at once because it’s easy to get more once the baby arrives 😊 im sure you’ll do more target trips while baby is here and get what you need ❤ im also a minimalist mom so there were some regrets on the items i thought i needed but didn’t eventually use. hand me downs are great too! ❤ ashlynne, nobody talks about the 4th trimester. i was shocked with how my life changed after the baby arrived and how rough the first 2-3 months were. might be good to look into that, prepare, talk to someone and know what to expect. may help prevent postpartum anxiety/depression if you prepare for the 4th trimester. that’s something i wish i prepared myself for. i cried too many tears during that time adjusting to the new life. sending you lots of love and prayers! you’ll be wonderful mom! ❤
Ashlynne, I have been loving all your maternity and postpartum preparation videos. I just had my first baby on March 30th via unplanned c-section after over 17 hours of labour, so I would just tell you to expect that things might change and to just roll with the punches. I hope you have a smooth birthing experience, but also know that no matter how your boy gets here, you are doing everything you can to be an amazing mother. I wish I had that mindset a bit more before my labour started. Looking forward to hearing about your birth! Sending you all the best 💚
Such a wonderful preparing for baby video! I have 2 babies and can confirm that all your postpartum supplies are going to be super helpful! I would also add some adult diapers for the first few days home because things are MESSY. Also, more snacks in your bedside basket for middle of the night feeds, you will get very hungry very quickly. I’m so excited that baby boy is almost here! You and Christopher will be such amazing parents ❤
So excited for you & Christopher. Love your vids and organization. Definitely recommend them to anyone that can benefit from them. Can’t wait until your baby is born. Wow 9 months already? I wish you a safe delivery of your precious little one. You are going to be a wonderful Mom Ashlynne. Happy Easter to you & your family. ❤️✝️🐣
I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown. Of course it may not seem as fast to you.😂 I’m so excited for you and Christopher and am looking forward to the imminent arrival of your little angel.❤️🙏
I became a grandmother to a little girl in October from one daughter, and my other daughter just gave me a new grandson less than two weeks ago. You are just a couple of weeks behind her! I’ve been setting up an area of my house so that I can help take care of him when she goes back to work. Thank you for all the suggestions!
Everything looks great n well organized! Coming from a Momma of 5, U look well ready! 😉👍💞 Blessings n Prayers 4 a beautiful n safe Delivery! 🙏🏻💞 Can't wait 2 see Ur precious little guy! 🥰
A helpful mantra I heard when in labor was something like (we may not know what is happening) But, "Our body knows what it is doing." Prayers and hugs, you are going to be amazing and do wonderful. However, the labor and delivery happens may not be exactly how you think will happen but no regrets 🙏
The time seems to have flown by...so happy for you both. And wishing you well if anything happens before the next video....x 😊 everything looks great all great organization. X
Loved all the organizing 👍🏼 Do you have a postpartum belly wrap? After you give birth everything feels so loose in the middle and a wrap really helps support you. I’m currently pregnant with my 3rd baby and I used one with my previous babies and it just really seemed to help shrink the belly back afterwards. Highly recommend 🙌🏻
I got the boyshorts this time around as a treat lol I was leaking all over the place that 1st week. Esp on my beige couch 😩 I didn't mind the mesh while at hospital but once I got home pads suffice but def moved around
Love all of your preparations! One thing I totally forgot to prep with my first two babies was a few supplies in case of an emergency c section…which I have had two of 😅. There were some things like tucks pads that I just never used, and items like a belly binder became essential! Also, get yourself some extra soft tp! You will appreciate it for the first few days 😂
Hi Ashlynne, did I miss a video of you decorating the nursery with the wallpaper and setting up the crib? I was just wondering. I’m so glad you are close to meeting your baby boy!
Im 30 weeks and just starting to nest! Do you have a nursery tour? I love your wall paper and curtains, Im curious where you purchased them. Love your content!
Honestly I think the postpartum supplies are overkill. The hospital products are fine, free, and all I needed! They give you enough to last a week if you ask, and I only used for a few days. I spent $0 and used nothing I pre-purchased. Mesh undies with xl pads were super comfy, ice pads were cooling, bottle squirted just fine. 🤷♀️ It’s all marketing that gets ya.
Same! I actually bought the fridamom underwear with my first but hated it. I loved the mesh underwear the hospital gave me. I’m just going with the free hospital stuff this time around.
The main thing I needed at hand in bed at the beginning were burp cloths… you’re breastfeeding from bed so much and then need to burp baby- having a ton on hand was key. And then maybe a little laundry basket next to your bed to put the wipes so you don’t need to get up and walk to your usual basket.
You are so prepared, i wish i had known half of this before i got my first kid:) i have been watching u for years always admiring your lifestyle and telling myself that you will get messy too as soon as you get kids😂 but now after this video i am thinking maybe you won't?😍 ❤ I woul add some diaper bags to the first basket :)
No one asked but I will say if you plan to breastfeed nipple ointment is so helpful and don’t wait till they crack just start using it, and yes I loved the Hakka
@@AshlynneEaton I love that cream for everything! My LO doesn't get much diaper rashes bc we mainly use cloth diapers so I didn't see the need to get diaper balm, I use coconut oil. She gets major teething rash on her face it's great for that & get Triple Paste for zinc don't use Desitin!
Looks great, Im due with #3 the end of April. Congratulations! Pick up some preparation H as well for your bathroom caddy 😊 Im also preparing for csection needs (we are still breech).
I don't know if you've been through a c-section with your others but if you haven't and don't know about it, get the belly binder from the doctors!! It is a lifesaver for the pain and jiggly belly after c-section. I had all 3 of my girls by c-section and I wouldn't have survived of I had not had those. I wore them to bed even for about 3 weeks or longer, till my tummy tightened up enough and stopped hurting enough to handle my regular pants again
@@megboulden8130 the nurses gave it to me when I was in the hospital and told them it hurt to move except if I pressed on it some. They offered it and I took up on it. It's like a stretchy gauze with velcro. I loved it. Never felt the need to buy one either. Just got them from the hospital each time. You only use them for a few weeks and they can get blood on them so it's best to dispose of them when youre finished using them at the end of your postpartum needs instead of giving them away or selling. Mine got so gross by the end of using it even with washing. It looked like copper and bronze hair dye stained in different degrees of shades all over.
If you are planning to breastfeed, don't underestimate the discomfort for those first couple weeks. I highly suggest the silverettes silver nipple cups rather than the butter. They saved me! Also, sending you all of the good vibes that you don't end up in a c section, but if you do, you won't need any of that postpartum stuff, so make sure it's returnable. I ended up shipping back a lot of stuff to Amazon...
Probably the most important thing out of everything is that you have proper flange size. Not the ones the pump came with. Or else you can't empty properly with pump and will think you aren't producing! But you are.
Just had a last minute c-section two days ago..had all the postpartum wipes etc, now I don’t really need them either. All about taking care of my incision now, because boy oh boy does that end up being sore 😬
@cwright8472 it should feel better in about a week and then mostly the pain will be totally gone by 2-3 weeks! The annoying thing I have found is still having period like bleeding after 3 weeks! I thought that would be over by now.
@@thebarefoothobbit that’s reassuring! Did you find you had to put anything on your incision to help soothe it or stay comfortable in the weeks pp? I see there are patches you can get, but not sure if that’s something that I should explore. Also, agree the bleeding is a nuisance, but at least my baby and I can share the experience of diapers. 😂
I will not have all of this stuff. I think it’s a lot. There are some videos on TH-cam where mothers talks about what you really need. I will skip all the extra.
How many people i know who have gone through c-sections i wouldnt have bought anything the hospital wouldve given you for a vaginal birth right away in case you end up needing an emergency c-section. Dont wanna waste money if you dont have to 🙂 When inwas postpartum, i wore granny panties from fruit of the loom or hanes. Can't remember which. But they were high waist and csme above my c-section incision which was greatly recommend those

Just a few tips get one or two pads wet in the freezer when your boops or personal parts are very much hurting it can help to cool them down.
Wishing you a safe delivery coming up! I just had my baby 3 days ago and am getting discharged today!
Congrats on your baby arriving soon that’s awesome 😎 and Happy Easter! 😊👍❤️

Yeah I actually liked the hospital things best too. I at least wouldn’t open any purchased postpartum items until you know you need them.
