- Watch us build a 2007-2009 Shelby GT500 Mustang into a nearly 600 rear wheel horsepower beast with bolt-on modifications and a little tuning! Make sure to check out all 3 Stages at www.americanmuscle.com/07-09-s...
In the first Stage of our Power Pack Bolt-On Build-Up we installed:
JLT Big Air Cold Air Intake - Carbon Fiber (07-09 GT500) - www.americanmuscle.com/jlt-cai...
Bama SF3/X3 Power Flash Tuner w/ 2 Custom Tunes (07-10 GT500) - www.americanmuscle.com/x3-cust...
The dyno results? After the mods were complete, our 2008 Shelby GT500 put down over 508 horsepower and 479 ft. lbs. of torque to the wheels on our Dynojet 224xLC. This made for a peak gain of 74 horsepower and gains of 56 horsepower and 64 ft. lbs. of torque throughout the curve All we had to do was load up our Bama Performance tunes via the SCT X3 or X4 custom tuner and spin the rollers for our dyno results.
What will we do in Stages 2 and 3? COMMENT below and tell us what you want to see us add next! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Watch us build a 2007-2009 #Shelby #GT500 Mustang into a nearly 600 rear wheel horsepower beast! +1 If you like the Black S197'S!
one day we will have Shelby
Haha that sucks I have 2 Shelby's and when the new 2016 Shelby comes out I'm going to get one I love them
Watch us build a 2007-2009 Shelby GT500 into an almost 600 RWHP beast in 3 Stages!
Those Shelby's just love tunes and CAI's. Impressive how it gained so much! Can't wait for stages 2 and 3!
Stage 2 drops today, george palomino! Thanks for following along. Make sure to hit that subscribe button. Thanks again for the kind words! -Chris
No doubt gotta do a blower and fuel delivery upgrade. Headers would icing the cake. Great work gentleman.
Who knows what we'll do after the bolt-ons. I think we're going to max the stock Eaton out first and see where it goes from there! ;) -Chris
Wow that’s some serious gains with just a tune and intake!
Awesome! Sick power gains, those gt500's are insane
Absolutely love these videos. Keep up the fantastic work!!
Thanks Manuel Rico! We appreciate you following along. -Chris
It's bad ass right now. Blower and fuel pump would be ridiculously powerful.
It's a Mustang, I live it!!
Man this car is going for $26,000 - $33,000. Must....buy.....gt500...!
Same, I wanna buy one
Got mine for 22K 45,000 miles. All original Vista Blue convertible.
@@richardhammerbush5337 Should’ve bought a terminator. These were a step down from the terminators
I got a 2007 with 24K miles for $27K. You can't get them at that price today, but you can get them in the mid $30K range. These prices won't last long
437 at the wheel means that thing is probably putting out 515 at the crank
Here we go finally
I waited a long time for these vids. That's my ride. They did a killer job.
dumbshit1977 Thanks! We appreciate the feedback. You have a sick ride. What year and color combo? Thanks again for watching... Stage 2 and 3 we really "crank things up"! -Chris
Very nice gains, considering it's only a stage 1 tune
You guys haven't done a 99-04 project car..really want to see that..those cars are cheap and fun to do!!
I'd like to see this too, being a 99GT owner. *brofist*
I believe they did, actually. Go on their page and look under the Bolt On Build Ups section. There should be a red GT that they did quite some time ago. They also did a V6 Mustang of the same model.
Dylan Morgan Those are Build Ups i believe they are referring to the project cars like the project coyote and project fox body
It produces stock power pretty damn efficiently. Swapping to turbochargers would make this such a monster lol
yeah i would definitely like to see a 99-04 project car
They have already done a New Edge project car. Go look on the website and you may be surprised.
When is project Coyote gonna kill grabber boost 11.6 time??
Steerious
I really would like to see you guys doing the 13/14 GT500, so I can have some ideas what to do on my.
Stay tuned! We're building this 07-09, a 10-12 and a 13-14 all in the next few weeks right here on TH-cam! -Chris
Saleen rims on a Shelby?
Still runny strong guys.
new edge project car please alot of us 99-04 gt owners would love to see it
They have done the V6 and GT from that model. It's on their page under Bolt On Build Ups.
r u guys goin to do the mods for 11-12 gt500's?
I like the new gt500 but this one with just few bolt ones could be just as fast
Just saw need for speed love mustangs
Is this their first gt500?
Where is stage 2 :)
What does a factory shelby do at the 1/4 mile?
David DesRoches my 2009 did 12.1 at 118mph
Why does the front on this car look way more aggressive then other 05-09 mustangs is it because it’s a cobra ? Or the angle it’s being filmed at , paint? I need to know
Shelby's use an entirely different front end, including hood. That's why you see a big difference. -Justin
Any updates on grabber boost?
Did you see our Stage 4 video after we supercharged it and ran 11's? -Chris
I hope you guys change the wheels and get rid of the Autozone special "Shelby" on the hood... other then that the red looks B-E-A-utiful!
Those are factory issued shelby letters identical to the letters on the rear. Not autozone letters and the wheels are s197 saleens. Again not part store wheels. Everything on the car came from AM. Everyone has an opinion and I respect that.
it would have looked better if they went with the curve of the hood rather then just put them in a straight line across... looks super tacky and i know the wheels are from AM but i don't understand why they would put the ugliest wheels ever put on a Saleen on a Shelby... they should have used some of the Shelby wheels offered on the sight.
I picked those wheels after the wheels I originally wanted were not available in the 20" option. Like I said , everyone has an option. After so many compliments on the wheel and tire combo I'm surprised that yo would use the word "ugliest" as to describe them. Not that I'm insulted in any way just surprised. That car is far from stock so shelby wheels were not that important. I hope you enjoyed the videos for the most part. I did.
It's crazy how a stock Gen 3 coyote can make the same amount of power as that gt500 stock.
It is but the supercharger whine... Oh so sweet. Plus it just has a special car feel
Once you start adding stuff to it yeah....but add the same thing to the Shelby and itll gain more because of the supercharger
This have a 6250 Rev limiter stock and redline at 6. It also doesn't have vct and stock cams are very mild. On top of this it has way lower compression over 3.5 points lower which is very significant. They only push like 8-9 psi stock on a tiny out of date m122 blower. As you can see something as simple as a cold air and tune picked up like 80 rwhp. Once you start throwing mods on these it's game over as far as making power and again it makes way more torque and it does it at a much lower rpm. Spin that gen 3 to only 6000 and see how much power it makes lol. Rpm and compression matter alot as do the other tech like vct that allows coyotes to have very aggressive stock cams by comparison. They're totally different cars that make their power totally different ways. But when you factor in everything it's not that crazy that the gen 3 isn't far off stock vs stock as they are very well set up factory whereas these were extremely restricted (as evident by picking up 80 rwhp with cold air and tune lol). There is alot more to it than one is supercharged one is na.
I put that mod in today JLT got big air filter lol. Bama x4 tuner, not bad as far as getting it? Though plugging the tuner in you hit choice 91 octane, 93 octane and of course Shelby GT500. I thought it be all loaded but yet I had to put in the gear ratio, acknowledged it had cold air on it. How else can I get more for my car with the set up I got? Would adjustments help with air fuel ratio, or spark plug adjustments help? I could take it in as well, hope someone can help
change the wheels
Why don't you put a bigger kenne bell 2.8 supercharger and 3.73 gears
So it's a car that identifies as a horse but it's actually a snake. Makes sense
Nice buildup showing with that 5.4L is capable of in stock trim. Problem is with the hEaton is it gets heat soaked after a few runs if you are at the drag strip. Good news is the TVS takeoffs from the 13/14 cars are relatively cheap as far as blowers go and can take these motors up to the safe limit of 750 or so. Another thing for anyone watching, Mike J. is an idiot and is no longer at AM. Dude basically had no clue what he was doing and then took a bunch of "Bama" tunes with him when he left. There are threads all over about it. If you have an older Bama tune, I HIGHLY suggest getting it re-burned with the new guy who apparently doesn't suck. Or get in touch with an actual datalogging tuner like AED/Lund/MPT...
I had to add newer floor mats & a fresh new blinkers bulbs 💡 picked up an extra 472whp to back right tire 😂😂 if any wants my professional advice just hit me up and I’ll tell you my inspirational come up of clout chasing 🙏
Typical mustang owners treatment, I swear I thought he was about to say crash
