@@e.honchoo9596 a super snake is just a factory souped up gt500. Its not really coming from the ford factory that way the shelby company builds them after production of it. This is a normal gt500 straight from the ford factory with 662 hp. The tvs is mainly what does it...slap it on an earlier gt500 you got close to the same power for way less money.
@@BlahBlah-ps2uc yea the 13 up also cost alot more usually than a 11-12 does...sure they're better but so is the bigger price tag. 11-12 gt500s are really good cars and still tons of potential so if you could get one for 10g or so less than a 13 I'd go for it all day. I know a guy who got a 2010 gt500 with 70k real clean for 24 g
***** Those gains are throughout the curve, not just peak gains which were right around 50. If you look at your dyno results, you'll see that your stock and after numbers were probably similar, but look at the change in horsepower and torque between 3500-4500 RPM. I'll bet you're in the triple digits, as well. -Chris
+KWorker lol are you serious? The video clearly shows 45 whp, not 100! It does show a huge increase of 100 whp at around 5200 rpms. The way American Muscle corrected that power curve is just impressive. The Shelby was clearly restricted from factory probably because of noise and emissions but once the engines are open up, the 13 Shelby is a monster.
Why does the stock engine make its top HP at 6,500 rpm but the stage 3 only at 6,000 rpm? While I laud the 709 hp at 6k my question as an engineer is what is holding back the HP at high rpm? Limitations with the heads or cams?
dude where are you guys located I have some mavericks and falcon I want to try and sup up and blow the doors off this chevelle down the street. I need some help tuning my self tuner craped out
And just like that it's a Hellcat killer. If you do the math, they gained 45 horsepower to the tires, which means at the crank it's now matched the Hellcat at 707 horsepower. And the Shelby is a few hundred pounds lighter.
sike, the 13 14 gt500s were the worst at the quarter mile with those gearings.maybe and 11 -12 could beat it. the hellcats could still beat the gt500s stock for stock. stick for stick while spinning to the finish line. it came after the gt500, they already had a benchmark to beat, you think any manufacture would make a car that competes with another to be slower with more time? NEIN!
@@richardthomas1531 hey soy boi, dont bring politics into the comment section. go do that on a CNN page Also im not responding to the OP. besides its no longer stock compared to the STOCK hellcats. which is no longer a fair race.
The power dip is because the car wasn’t to temp yet. It’s failsafe programmed by Ford. It will close the throttle body when it doesn’t see a high enough coolant/oil temp. Never want to rip on it when your oil isn’t up to temp, this is how they keep things in check. VMP had this issue as well. That’s what they determined it was, and they removed the feature in the tune.
We always make sure the cars are warmed up before making dyno pulls. The issue is deeper lying in the Trinity GT500's and that's why it usually takes a tune to keep that TB open for the entire power band. -Justin
@@americanmuscle I don't doubt that you guys do warm up the cars, but from what it sounds they are very picky. That's what VMP found anyway. Car closes the TB for a reason. You surely would not think they would leave a big dip in the tune considering they spent hours and hours developing it. Luckily software fixes it though! No reason not to tune considering the gains! Love all the GT500 build videos. Especially after putting the Eaton M122 on my 4.6 GT
Yes it's because it's boosted you will never get that large of a gain out of a Na car prob 20-30 hp/tq gins max to b realistic and that's to the flywheel but where there's boost you have more air you can force in and match fuel ratios to get insane hp and torque jumps that's y everyone loves the ecoboost power wise
Go to their youtube channel. You will find the 2011 3.7 build. There is no difference in them other then the years, and exterior. Ran I believe low to mid 11s
these clowns make it sounds like they know what they are doing and the engineers at Shelby dont. after all installing these mods, can the car beat 200 mile/hour ? enough said
Of course these guys know what they are doing. So do the engineers at "Shelby" (Don't you mean Ford)? The difference is simple, as the factory is constrained by the EPA. The aftermarket is not.
+Danny Nguyen First, the bean counters at Ford have to worry about a little thing called "powertrain warranty".....so of course the engine is de-tuned to help it last until warranty is over....,.
We're about to build a 700HP Shelby GT500 Ford Mustang. Make sure to subscribe to get Stages 2 and 3!
You guys should do a 03-04 Terminator build, that would be the best!
These GT500s are beasts!
Love to see a bolt on build up of the 1996-98 4V cobras.
I never noticed the presenting effort Justin puts in. Hand gestures, facial movements, body language, blah blah he really does a good job.
Kudos!
How can I get a job at American muscle?
What yall do is awesome!
Wow, ford must've been choking that thing with the stock tune, really impressive results from a simple bolt on and tune
That's really an impressive result! And 600whp stock is no joke.

Terminator build up?
is there any more Bolt-On Build-Up for performances a 1999-2004 V6 mustang??
can I do a jlt and a ford single blade throttle body and will there be a tune for this from bama?
