- Stay a while and listen; a devilish finale if I may say so. Music's banging, love how it tells a story on its own. Also, all hail the echo.

Garlemald: - Lemme get uuuuhh... Giant robot.
Allag: - How original...
Garlemald: - With teeth.
Allag: - Daring today, aren't we?
You think Garlemald would wise up after it failed to control Allagan robots again for the billionth time in a row.
@@Twocoolman115 to be fair, the first try with ultima weapon went pretty flawlessly, gaius just wasnt aware the ultima magic laid dormant within
This isn't just a giant robot. It's a cybernetically enhanced banshin. This is the reason why Diabolos' theme is the driving force of the track. The garlean empire is literally trying to weaponize a summoning of Diabolos.
@@banggugyangu I’m just wondering how they have Diabolos. Didn’t Cait Sith erase him with the Nullstone? Or am I misremembering?
@@enlongjones2394 this is a body created to capture and use a voidsent in this case its Diablos. My guess is when we defeated Diablos the bastard retreated inside of this thrown away hidden vessel. In order foe himself ro stay tethered to this world.
I love how an obscure summon from one of the least appreciated FF games has become a recurring villain who probably would have annihilated the universe by now if he hadn't had the poor luck of crossing paths with an army of women in casual summer wear.
Underappreciated comment
Diabolos? What army of women in summer wear
@@TheShadowfan9000 it's a joke about the playerbase
@@kay_faraday oh, rip.
Hey, at least im in my pajamas.
I love that this boss' attacks are instantly recognizable as either Ultima or Diablos moves.
When i was going through the Dalriada for the first time with a friend we were talking until he asked me.
"so what do you think is the final boss" and i jokely responded with "satan weapon or something like"
Yeah, it was kinda funny and we found diabolos at the end.
The Allag were nothing if not consistent.....ly a pain in our ass!!!
The Bozja leitmotif, Wrath of the Eikons and Imperial Wrath? Nice!
No matter how many times it is, Diabolos always comes back to fight us.
I was really not expecting to be fighting him at the end of Bozja, thats for certain,
do you think Diabolos came back to his senses, took stock of what had happened to him, took a look at what was going on around him and just thought "oh. it's *Them* again. Son of a..." *Sigh* "Alright let's get this song and dance going. Again."? XD
@@ciselkane05 It's not Diabolos though, the weapon was meant to be his vessel, but they didn't manage to summon him.
@@DarthSanguine actually i think is really him, at the start of the fight he start talking like a machine, and starts having interferences, and ends with Diabolos talking normaly and says "at last im myself once more!"(mekkadee didnt recorded that line) and i remember that in the end of his final raid a bat getting away, i think i just needed a new body, and he got it here
It kinda explains all the voidsent FATE's in Bozja though. They were being drawn to Daddy D.
@@Sommion Nah, this thing has been only recently unearthed; it's more like it was a piece of diabolos, not the full being.
I swear, Diabolos has to be the 13th shard of Zenos with how often he shows up to fight us.
Interestingly enough that's not him, but it was supposed to it didn't work out and Diabolos stayed free ... until we murderized him at least.
@@Shear666 He didn't die after the HW raids aye? He will come back
@@AgathaASR I rewatch that scene when I'm home but He seemed pretty dead to me.
@@Sewersyrup That was my point, if we just destroy his form we wouldn't need a special magical Stick... One which we get specifically to destroy Scathach. We would just hit him until the demonic juices come out, like always. But instead we hit him with the magical demon destroying Stick which from what we know disperses their aether, killing them.
And then the Garleans fired up the Magitek abomination made to work with Diabolos aether. Yeah I think those Idiots actually accidentally revived him.
@@Sewersyrup the thing I wonder about is... IF He could have done it naturally. The Nullstone was meant as a Tool to permanently destroy Voidsent after all but it wasn't exactly in a top state.
How do Voidsent work anyway? Spoken have a soul and Ascians are beaten by dispersing or trapping the Souls Aether. Voidsent where Spoken that turned into... well voidsent when the 13th went to hell but do they still have Souls or is it all just Dark aliegned aether with a Mind?
Door mechanic back with a vengeance.
Tfw I recognize the artist on your pfp, nice choice
The moment the Diablo/Diabolos connection hit me was during the door phase.
Consequently, while having this epiphany, the giant death ball also hit me.
Everything in this fight is an instant death I suppose. Seeing ppl tanking the floor quite often with the door thing lol
Was the song for me
@@dale7326 I hate it because I understand the door thing, at least I think I do, but I'm just too slow to do anything about it.
For me it was both seeing his face up close, wondering 'man that looks really familiar, what's it from?', and then hearing the opening notes and realizing its the start of his theme. I started nerding when I made the connection, I LOVED the callback of both his powers and the music
Welcome back, Diabolos.
Here's to seeing you in Endwalker somehow- I know you'll find your way.
Nah, that's not him. It actually was supposed to be powered by Diabolos but in the end they didn't get him.
@@Shear666 actually i think is really him, at the start of the fight he start talking like a machine, and starts having interferences, and ends with Diabolos talking normaly and says "at last im myself once more!"(mekkadee didnt recorded that line)
@@Sommion Huh ... interesting. Considering this thing was excavated and we kinda murdered Diabolos two addons earlier ... what was inside that thing then?
This is a genetic modified version of the Diablos. I believe the Allagan might take his DNA and try to create a bioweapon similar to the original. Because of that, the personality is the same but the trait was different. Yes, he is a second ranked voidsent, Allagan just succeeded to make something crazy while thinking about how to tamer the monster. Eikons aren’t easy to fight against and they are usually rare in particular.
It’s called a relic because it was the first man-made Eikon before Ultima weapon existed. Unlike Ultima, it’s a cyborg monster type I guess. They really want to flesh out something about Allagan technology and what they can do for this version of Diablo.
Like the field note description, it might not just one but multiple of them under experiments. This is just a finest version of out them I think
@@dale7326 ..i just wanted to make a cheeky reference to the fact that we got to see diabolos in some facet again even if it isn't actually literally diabolos ;_;
I love how the last phase isn't even him attacking, it's just his body breaking down and spewing arcs of energy until you finish him off.
1:58 is just *chef kiss*
It’s got that kind of old school ff vibe while also being soken, pretty cool
Because it's a remix of Wrath of the Eikons which was composed by Uematsu for 1.0. So it's literally both.
@@smward87 I knew it! I played 1.0 and I kept hearing an old, familiar theme.
@@smward87 It also incorporates Imperial Will, another Uematsu track.
Soken never dissapoints. (L)
It’s hard for a single song to hook me in within 30 seconds but this did it. Amazing.
Eden 5?
I can't explain it, but there is something I like a lot about this song. It feels different than all the other songs in the game for some strange reason....
It has a really haunting tone to it, the little keyboard sounding notes have an ambience that give it that spooky feel while still feeling like you're facing a very relevant threat
Strangely, it feels way more like an Uematsu composition than a Soken one. I think it's the guitars, it's mostly just a guess though!
To me, It feels chaotic like the music is not quite in control (like the boss is).
@@bureji im 4 months late, but, this IS a remix of an uematsu composition, actually! the original, wrath of the eikons, was composed by uematsu for ffxiv 1.0
i guess its because its not made by soken. its arranged by takafumi imamura being a remix of wrath of the eikons(iirc?)
I already killed what you were supposed to contain. What makes you think I won’t make easy work of a carca-
*Motion bomb goes off*
You’ve lost 316,000 mettle
Ah, yes, essence of the beast is wonderful for that
I learned that lesson in UWU
Tbf, by the time you face the jerk you have to already max your rank. At that point the mettle loss is just in regard to attaining proof of mettle tokens to buff hp, DPS and healing
A fitting song to end the rockist expac of FFXIV. Soken keeps making absolute bangers
I remembered the mechanic from the dungeon so when i saw a similar name on the attack i looked up and noticed the doors. "Ah fuck". Proceeded to survive due to Tank priviledge and only that.
Me being squishy caster. Ah fuck. Proceed to 10 times checking the floor
the fact that this guy has a desperation phase and is a fusion between diablos and neo exdeath immediately makes this way cooler than almost every boss in this game.... and the music....
diablos and ultima weapon more like, he just borrows neo exdeath's model skeleton
@@lysandre1861 he actually does make use of a couple mechanics present in exdeath/neo exdeath, but yeah the diablos and ultima weapon theming is definitely a lot stronger
yeah, the last phase' attacks are pretty simple but the vibe and animations that go with it make it work *so well*
a neat thing to go alongside the rest of the bosses which were a bit sillyish (cuchulainn belly flops)
@@catssnake4492 That whole fight was kind of deliberately silly though.
@@kiraina25 I also found the 2nd to last boss; the part where the robot starts spinning around the arena to be quite fun as well
plus the whole laser room section
The door mechanic tho
Blind run at first time got a massive wipes.
This is so godlike. Feels like a perfect mix of Soken and Uematsu. And probably also the best boss in the game, damn it's so good!!
It was a 1.0 song where Uematsu wrote it, and Soken remixed it here.
The Bozja leitmotif starting at 1:25 is so well integrated !
What a drastic change of music from DR to this, I absolutely love it
DR was all about the despair and horror of the Blades being tempered and forcefully transformed into mindless abominations who live only to serve the Queen, so the music reflected this. This is the final battle to end the Bozjan conflict once and for all.
@@smward87 At least we save 1 of them…I don’t know where the other ones are outside the 10 that were transformed into bosses in DR are, but I know we get to save one of them
I wonder if Diablos Armament was the rumored boss they mention was in 5.5 content with 440,000,000 hp.
It certainly feels like it, given it is at the end of a, potentially, 48 man raid.
Looking at the fight... I'd say the answer to that is 'definitely'.
Trinity Seeker in savage had right around that much too, iirc
Nope, it has around 150-160 million hp. I play with a plugin that allows me to see the enemies health in numbers. Trinity seeker has 90-100 million
Strong 1.0 energy, even though this track is clearly new. Must be the guitars, really brings back that Tempest vibe.
has the Uematsu prog metal vibes
@@at0micl0bster Actually it's just a faster arrangement of Wrath of the Eikons from 1.0 which WAS in fact composed by Uematsu, I didn't realize that at first but once someone pointed that out it made perfect sense.
@@HigakiRinne It still has the Save the Queen leitmotif mixed in.
Oh my god guys, when the big ball rolls through the arena, you don't have to eyeball it, they always run along the seams on the floor !! i realized it on run 22 lol
Talk about godtier arena design
So I have a little history with Diabolos in ffxiv. First time I did lost city of amdapor we wiped on him like 4 times. It was brutal.
Get to this boss, I hear the music and then read the name more carefully and then realize
*oh no, its door bitch.*
Oh it's time for Diablo and his 'Wonderful' Doors of Mayhem.
Whenever I get that dungeon, if I'm playing DPS, I immediately say "OK, I'm marking doors, this WILL wipe us if we're stuck playing concentration mid fight."
Of course, you also have to prioritise using the doors that are across from each other, so the real fun becomes getting the other DPS to help open them.
Probably the most underrated track out of the entirety of Shadowbringers
God this shit slaps
When are people gonna learn to stop messing with allagan robots LMAO.
AND VOIDSENT?? they never learn
I'm surprised G Warrior didn't come alive and stab us in the back, and now REAPERS? This is fine
@Sypha Flowen
Let's be honest: most people on Hydaelyn are hopelessly stupid (and hypocritical).
@Sypha Flowen He didn't know about the experiments and war crimes part, that's on Sicinius which is why Lyon hunts him down later.
Oh man at 5:05ish in the video right when the guitars kick back in like 5 people get steamrolled, the most doom eternal thing ever lol
What an awesome callback, I always thought Wrath of the Eikons was a great boss theme and we finally got a remix!
If you ever start a Free Company you should call it "Mekkah Dee's Nuts"
Noticed recently this is a remix of the Voidsent boss theme from like Dun Scaith and whatnot. Also plays during the first Zenos fight.
It's that combined with the Garlean Empire theme and the Bozja theme.
The official name is "Wrath Of The Harrier" btw
Yep i spent a good mil on it lol
@@justanian1 wait what, don't you get it for free?
@@TexMeta i wanted it before it dropped
This boss felt like a classic JRPG final boss ! It was so good !
this is just an amazing banger of a theme for an amazing boss fights fun and he looks awesome
This riffs oooh yes i have to finish this bojza
notice how the dragoon has more hp than the tank, that is, of course, because dragoons are floor tanks
That floor is powerful
Welcome back, Dee. You have been missed👍👏✌️
This feels like a last boss theme for sure!
Technically it is. This is the final piece of battle content in all of Shadowbringers. So it is quite literally the last boss of the expansion.
The Diablo Armament was rumored to be on par with if not surpass the ultima weapon.
Take into account that the weapons chowed down on MULTIPLE primals whilst The Diablo Armament only needed ONE voidsent
Imagine an armament having the 4 elemental fiends as fuel and diabolos. Going to give that as suggestion to the wandering minstrel
I knew this fight, and music, would be good but I had no idea it would be this good. I kinda wish The Diablo Armament was its own trial.
I wish they would make Ex trials of the best alliance raid or field raid bosses. Maybe they’ll do Diablos Ultimate someday.
@@jpem4664Well, there is a slight slight potential of your wishes being granted in a slight form. Chaotic Raids of previous ARs are happening, basically regaled encounters of previous final bosses at the end of each AR series (if the first domino in the stack is anything to go by, so to say). If Cloud of Darkness is anything to go by with how it uses E7, E9 as well as the base Cloud of Darkness battle (depending on how it is on Tuesday when it comes out), we *might* get a Diabolos Hollow (Chaotic) with some spice from Diablo Armament!
Nice reuse of the neo exdeath skeleton
Also this theme could easily the the final boss theme of another game
And there's a boss earlier that uses the Perfect Alexander skeleton. The devs know perfectly how to reuse assets.
@@ZephWraen that perfect alexander reskin was so good, i didnt even realize it was a reused asset until about halfway through. but to be fair, i didnt realize Omega was a reskinned FROG so...
@@carldimayuga6419 Wait, what? O.o
@@DarthSanguine If you notice Omega's head bobs sideways, that's exactly how the frogs enemies in this game behave lol
@@Exponential_Entropy Also, if you have the omega mount, or know someone that does, walk backwards while jumping - it's a perfect frog hop.
What a great fight, and a fantastic track.
Anything referencing Diabalos for the third time: "How mamy times must I teach you this lesson old man!"
This is what happens when you forget to lock the door realm
Best mmo ost of all time
Got be the first theme in gaming and possibly my life that I started head banging to involuntarily.
Thanks for the run and the cards ^^
The second I heard that opening baseline I knew I'd love this song
After being kinda disappointed with the Diamond Weapon theme we got, hearing this put such a big smile on my face. THIS is the kind of awesome finale boss theme I love to hear!
Emerald set high expectations for Diamond. This fight makes up for it for me as well.
Diamond Weapon's theme wasn't that bad.
I like Diamond's theme but I was disappointed since I thought THIS was going to be it's theme during the trailer, lol.
@@Webby125 I just watched the trailer and not sure how you got that idea, the loudest part of this theme in trailer was the bozja riff, while the second part of the trailer had a remix of ultima weapon playing in it right after the diamond weapon showcase. While i love the music it's not hard to put 2 and 2 together when the tracks get remixed over each other across 2 years (or however long an expansion cycle is)
"Everything's lasers with you! I'm telling you, smoke machines are what the people really... AUGH MY EYE!"
Man, this makes me want to play Final Fantasy 14!
Ah yes, Diabolos is back, with the rave party
I'm going really crazy with the lore implications behind this one.
These Allagan MFs really summoned XIV’s equivalent of Satan into a death machine just for fun huh
Diablos was just chilling and they stuffed him into a machine
An yes. When two out of four reasons for bad shit happening come together. ("The Allagans did it" and "Because Voidsent")
One of my favorite fights in the game. I ran this well over 50 times for my rekics and still managed to get a stack or two
It makes me wanna dance just like the twinnin
This gives me 'Birth of a God' vibes from FFVII
people can say what they want about this the unfinished story line the repetitive nature of it but I loved the solo challenge fights really made you feel like a cut above the rest if u managed to defeat those monsters where with just 1 slip up you go from max hp to zero hp ntm the added pressure you felt from everyone else in the area going there to watch your fight to cheer you on and also benefit from your victory due to the buff u and nearby allies get if u win, so with the thought of letting your allies down also weighing heavy on you just made the fights feel all the more intense and i loved every second of it
I forgot this thing existed.
Bazja PTSD
Honestly for me this music felt close to jenova
I haven't gotten to 25 yet cause I've been taking my time but I've listen to this theme probably 30 times since it came out, it's so good
Did you all notice that there is, in this theme, a recall of Ultimecia's final form theme ? If you do : you are the elite.
IT SLAPS
while Wrath of the Eikons (aka Diabolos) and Bozja theme are obvious... i cant help but feel there's some Ogre Battle in there.
This entire boss is a callback to the final boss of March of the Black Queen so it’s very very likely that’s intentional.
mark my words, he will return in 6.1!
Sorta! This time we’re probably taking the fight to him!
News: it's alot different
I really love this fight. I want to go back but it's harder to get into the Dalriada now.
Finally got to this for the first time...man that boss literally hit hard
Diablo Armament? U must mean Neo Exdiablo.
Door Mechanic? Grandcross Diablo. :^)
Kinda wanna go back and que for this dungeon again just for fun.
How many times are we gonna have to teach you this lesson, Diablo?
wouldnt it be fancy if diablos is the voidsent zenos has a pact with as a reaper? - unless he just uses magitek and has none ~
I actually miss Bozja. I hope the next iteration of it in Dawntrail actually adds some future-proofing so it doesn't die after a new expansion releases, like Dalriada and Castrum Lacus Licore did after Shadowbringers.
This is a fantastic theme. More importantly, anyone else hear 'J-E-N-O-V-A' buried in here? Like, my brain was shaking during this fight! :D
I definitely thought about JENOVA too
2:00 is just too good!
for some reason i feel like i can hear FF VII motorcycle chase ost from this
Diablo, we can never seem to escape him no matter if it is the real thing or just some copy.
Can’t wait for the Diablos and Deus Darnus variants in Endwalker
@@Sewersyrup how is that possible we killed him during the 24 man raids in Heavensward?
@@Sewersyrup would be cool if we see him again in the Reaper Job Quest Line. Maybe some poor fool will let Diablo use them as an avatar. Similar to us using our reaper.

Was expecting Gabranth... this is so much better
Think SE is keeping Gabranth for something bigger.
@@kurothekyuubi1157 with how the Damalscan plotline is going, we may have more Ivalice content soon. The Ashe in FFXIV was said to have died 30 years ago when Garlemald came and invaded Damalsca but I think her body was never found. With how we didn't get her outfit this patch, we may find her in the next chapter of the Ivalice series within XIV. With Bozja finally liberated, the Resistance in the East can now focus all their might against the IVth legion with a Gabranth that was able to get back some old weapons.
Seems like Lyon killed Gabranth 6 months after the event in Zadnor. He was dying from a deadly disease and accepted his death from Lyon's hands. That's at least what the reports say. He then escaped and delivered Sicinius to the enemy with the help of the beastmaster lalafell we see in Zadnor's skirmishes (Pegaga or something)

Is that a Deckard Cain reference in the description for a boss named the "Diablo" Armament?

Just finished not one but two 5 man dalriada runs with endwalker coming out...the music makes it worth.
Why does this sound like it can be a team leader theme from Pokemon?

My internet cut during the Dalraida so I missed the lead into this fight, I get back in and immediately go: HWAT THE FUCK IS THAT!? It was quite the time lmao
The beginning sounds like Force Your Way a lil bit.
1:13 sounds exactly like a portion of Find Your Way too. Definitely intentional FFVIII references!
Love this theme! Never did dalriada, might just go try it if there are even any people left in Zadnor x)
Can confirm people still run it regularly, was just doing a run a few hours ago.
Still a bunch of people around, and as long as you get two or three people for this entire thing you're golden. Undersized parties get buffed through the roof. I did it with 4 people, two of which were WHM :D
this is the equivalent of eden promise umbra if it wasnt Cod
