This theme was so unsettling. Just seemed to get creepier and creepier each time.
It’s worse when someone considers the lore connected to it lol. For how much it pissed me off, the lore is written with some serious effort in mind.
The Blades chanting the Bozjan Front theme in a distorted, mechanical manner reflective of their existences now as twisted monstrosities created by the auracite's power is pretty creepy.
I feel the same whenever I see any of y’all’s busted ass faces.
The way the theme loops works so well with the way mechanics ramp up
I love how distorted the refrain is, as if the doot doot chair was singing it along.

This raid needs to be made into a normal lvl 80 24 man and added to the duty list

I never got past this raid. The best I ever got was an 8 man attempt that took an hour and a half to get to the 3rd boss and fell apart. I got tired of wasting my time in a queue that I had to travel to join that prevented me from doing anything else for hours while I waited for a run that never took place. Mostly because of this raid, I despise bozja and will never go back.

@@25xxfrostxxyou can definitely clear this with 8 people under 30 minutes, in fact most run do and it's not hard to understand why, by using essences casters get 50% more damage, melees 60 tank 72,... just with that alone you can cut a third of the time you need to be able to clear
On top of that each person can bring lost actions, the most common one are lost font of power (30% more damage and 40% crit for 30s every two minutes) and mana font (70% more damage for 30s but deplete mana).
And those are the most common one, there's a lot of other buffs and action you can use that can reduce that time by a lot, I wouldn't even be surprised if you told me that a speedrun group could clear DRN in less than 10 minutes
Also most people use party finder to find DRN group since it's just way more convenient, sure you'll be only 8/48 but at least you'll be able to clear
It's easy to say "it just takes too long" but the truth is, there's a lot of solution to make it way faster
Please no… the endless wipes is going to be painful

I may have done this boss a lot later than most people, but man this boss is so cool. Thematically, orchastrally, mechanically. Probably one of my favorite boss encounters in FFXIV atm.

I also loved this boss (the one before not so much). Everything about it is okay indeed perfect
For those wondering it’s the Bike Fran was riding in the story (the female Viera from the Ivalice raids). Quite a bit different from the doot doot throne.
I see Godbert Manderville and Hildibrand Manderville running this and I am frightened.

Being a learning party running though this when people didn't know what to expect was a highlight really gave the music a grim feeling of a upheaval fight

what's cool, is the music sounds like its coming from her chariot/throne. as it sounds like an automaton music box type with hitting old brass xylophone, and a distorted old trumpet.
This has grown to be one of my favorite boss themes from the game. The more I listen to it, the more I love it XD

Yeah Delubrum may be a super punishing raid to do due to the "you fail 2 avoidable mechanics you die" but holy crap once you learn the fights (which at least in normal mode ain't that hard) it's a super chill raid with amazing ost. My first time was a disaster since I knew absolutely nothing and had to blindly guess what each mechanic did. But then it *clicked*. The raid telegraphs every single mechanic, and once you notice that, it makes each fight feel amazing.
1.) This song fuckin' slaps.
2.) As a femroe main since 2013, I'm extra cool with this.
3.) Thank you for my life.

This was an amazing boss design and Misija really jumped up my favourites list. And this music is outstanding...

Here a post to make you feel better ;
-When you are tempered, you are not conscious/awake ; your basically put in a coma while you body, infected with the primal's eather keep moving to "follow your god and do his will". So all the people that were enthralled were not awake or aware not did they feel any pain. Even when they were body-morphed. So basically ; all the Blades fell asleep when they were hit by the aether's swords and didn't feel any pain no dread.
-Those that we had to put down in the DR, didn't feel any pain and basically awoke in the Sea of Stars. And since the Sea of Stars, immedialty reset/wash your souls, all of them were "healed" and free from the body-morphing/enthralling.
-The story implies that all the other captured/enthralled soldiers were captured and later healed by the "Alisaie's healing pigs".
-Like the enthralled soldiers, Dabog was brain-washed and wasn't really aware of his surrending, and later, all the "Dabog" clones are put down. And all the souls of the clones where freed and washed into the Sea of Stars.
-All the people that died in the Bozja arc had lost a lot of family members and dear ones ; so at least, they were reunited with all their dear ones in the after-life. Also, all the Trinity-es boss were all close friend ; so at least they were able to die and rest in the Sea of Stars together. In a bitter-sweet way.
-The spirit of Nevembya, the last queen/original Eikon, realized that everything that Misija did was wrong and stopped her before she coudl blow up DE. Later, in the prison cell, she convinced Misija to fight for "Bozja and her childrens". So among all the pain, the sacrifice of the Blades and all this mess helped the memory of the last queen to fight again for Bozja and find peace in some way.
-The actions of Misija made Bajsaljen and the leaders of new Bozja create a Bozja more fair for everyone. So in some kind of ways all those sacrifice weren't for nothing. It improved the quality of new Bozja, to now reproduce the mistake of the past. So everybody win in some way.
Also ; FF14 is a game so no one of those characters are reals ; so nobodies died during the "Bozja' arc" XD
(All those facts were taken from the encyclopedia and wikis. My bad if i made some mistakes)

I cleared this for the first time with two other people as that's just how the game queued me into it. I am lucky I picked Red Mage for this run. The kill run took some 20-30 minutes, my teammates applying the KO removal blessing on me and me raising them as soon as they dropped. We were near constantly debuffed and we had to just not get hit by mechanics, but we got her down.
This theme is both my triumph and PTSD.
My 100th time running through this but this song still slaps

Very first time clearing this it was still fairly current, could still get full 24 man duty finders. I surprisingly didn’t die once from what I remember my first time through.

Still mad people don't use essences for this dungeon. This could be ran in like 15-20 minutes if people just used the free damage items they're given but noooooo.
Too damn lazy to even pay attention to when the game gates their progress to actually teach them about essences, then they want to be snarky asses about it when called out :U

I forget how different this dungeon is from everything else.
@@PrincessofKeys 1. Thats bullshit, by the time you even need to do reginae you should have plenty of potions/actions.
2. Its also impossible to progress in the zone without using them, so you know what they are.
3. In bozja content, all of your potions/actions are always available or are able to be changed at the start. So you dont need to remember to bring anything. Just literally left click on the DPS potions I KNOW YOU HAVE.
Huh, that last bit of the song made me think of FFVII. City of the Ancients maybe? Not JENOVA...eh, it's on a playlist, I'll figure it out sooner or later. Good shit regardless.

I've tried to do this raid a couple times but there's not enough people to do it anymore sadly. The first boss took 40 minutes and then people start leaving obviously.
That's your own fault. You should have done this while it was current. It was glorious
Perhaps a little late, but if you set up a party finder for this you can generally get a party of 8 which is all that's needed. People will join, it's the fastest way to get memories for the relic.
You also want to bring a pure essence and 2 damage actions if you want to clear this in 20minutes.
I unironically had more issues with Trinity Seekers mechanics than this
Everything about the Bozja questline was so good...until this point...Until you find out she's still alive after all she's done and will probably be treated the same way as Fordola except unlike Fordola, she deserves no pity, forgiveness or remorse.
This is what I actually like most. She's Fordola but she doesn't want to be reformed or really has any pity for the awful things she's done. In her mind what she has done is just and given the history of the Blades you can see (and still disagree with) that logic. The ideal of Gabranth's meritocratic society appeals to her more than a return to the hereditary class system of Bozja.
And it doesn't help that some of the people in the Resistance are eager to return to that unfair system.
@@sparthyslaysstuff2405 that's exactly my issue with it, she should've been executed on the spot but for no reason whatsoever we decide to keep her alive when we killed a lot more for a lot less than what she has done. It makes no sense, a person who betrays, lies, corrupts, brainwashes people and merges them into mindless abominations without having a care in the world or having a shred of regret should not be left alive and is no better than a primal with no moral compass
@@ShinyTuga killing someone in battle is one thing but I don't think we've ever executed a defeated enemy.
@@stampede274 retracted my previous comment because of misreading but even though that was the case, it seems rather pointless to keep someone so dangerous alive. We've been sent to pirates dens to slay them all in there, we weren't asked for prisoners there and we did execute a lot of tempered people before, i personally see no difference here, we were sent to stop her and she commited by far the worst kind of crime against humanity I've ever seen in FF14 barring maybe the Gaius / Weapon arc
@@ShinyTuga i agree on the crimes but we ourselves as the warrior of light have never executed someone. We've handed people over for execution, but never taken justice into our own hands like that.
But you're right, she's definitely done some of the worst stuff and needs to face justice.

@@midence No. The last queen was a Roegadyn and it was later stated in the Field Reports that not _all_ Bozjan queens were Hrothgar. There is however a bit of Hrothgar shown when Gunhildr becomes a Primal as her eyes turn cat-like. The same thing happens to Misija when she takes that power into her body
The queen really was a Hrothgar but the primal/triggerweapon was not actually made from the real queen because they figured why sacrifice the actual queen when we could sacrifice a roegadyn handmaiden to save the queen and whoops she had the echo!

Delubrum Reginae's final boss. You can enter it after clearing sufficient quests in the Bozjan Southern Front, a lv80 open world instance that requires completing the Stormblood Alliance Raids, and Shadowbringers' story up to patch 5.3.
One of the best themes to grace the game to date, and one of the best normal raid style fights in it. Love how it intensifies at places like 6:06.
Misija was an awesome character. I like how she did not yield in her steadfast beliefs. Sick of "redemption" arcs where the antagonist has a point. The way she triggers preachy gcbtw, with its bloated egos and self-importance, is awesome as a bonus.
Me too about the antagonists. I couldnt stand the warriors of darkness as good people after how they acted in hw. This kind of stuff made me not stand them a bit.
Technically, she did redeem herself by destroying the Diablo Armament.

This would have been more badass if Mishitja was a femla Hrothgar and not a Roegadyn. Not being racist but Bozja IS Hrothgar homeland.
The Shadowbringers artbook actually had a female Hrothgar as the boss of this fight but for whatever baffling reason, they skimmed over it for a Roegadyn instead
They didn't have the Hrothgirl model made, it seems.

On top of being the ShB deep dungeon equivalent and the relic storyline, it's also got some pretty solid story, albeit told in an unconventional way for FFXIV. A lot of stuff implied rather than outright laid out.
Yeah. The main lore is given through cutscene hints mentioned and a new collection added called the field record. The collection record will basically offer insight into characters of bozja. Enemies and allies included and then add that collection folder to the story cutscenes and oh boy. If you’re not interested in lore then out of efficiency, bozja southern front is like eureka and is another way to level 71-80
Great leveling content, good story, critical engagements are very fun and have boss mechanics, and in the new raid nice things to sell like the hairstyle that’s like 20 million gil
Yes, it's fun. You should do Castrum Lacus Litore while it's being ran, no other content like it in the game.
