If you savage raid it's nothing new, but in casual dungeons yea it definitely had a big wow factor...good for casuals to try and start raiding more if they get the hang of these mechanics
@@trustytrest Old tanking would not have worked out with this new content that we have. Damage is everything now and its important that tanks do as much as possible without hindering the party from dps checks
The story is disappointing. Shadowbringers itself was a massive letdown. Outside of a few specific ones, the music was forgettable. The dungeons were a chore, brown caves and mess. Eulmore was stupid beyond belief. Mt Gulg is an insult to everyone who played FF1 and a really REALLY awful dungeon. But the Crystarium is my favorite town, _To the Edge_ is my favorite FFXIV theme out of them all. I just think Shadowbringers could truly been something especially instead of just... Meh.
Just thought I'd mention it here in the main comments instead of as a reply. Someone mentioned how Trusts just speed run across the Lakelord boss's thin walkway. Minfilia actually walks very, very slowly across the entire thing out of concern for falling and Thancred gets impatient with her because they make it across no issue and are almost finished defeating the phase by the time she makes it to the FIRST bend in the walkway.
Alphinaud will also not make it. He sprints the last section and collapses in relief. Urianger and Thancred see right through it, of course. Alisaie does it in a dead sprint. Bringing in the Trusts, Y'shtola just struts across with a "Not Impressed" expression. [Spoiler] also Sprints across.
Im glad Shadowbringers exist. Its by far the best experience a rpg gave me, the music was more than on point, it was just over the roof, the story is omg, beautiful
That frog boss, oof, I got a grudge against that mofo. When the floor disappeared and I had to walk that cord I was like: screw this, I'm a Dragoon, closing gaps has never been a problem for me, why should it be now? *Casts Spineshatter Dive, instantly falls to the bottom.* -Oh...
I haven't fallen into that abyss in a while... Oh wait, I have. Because a sprout healer who got to the other side first thought to try being helpful and Rescue me when I was at the last short segment before safety. Anyway, I had the same experience as you, but I was a NIN. So much for my teleport. Had to stop seeing Shukuchi as identical to the Blink ability from Dishonored.
@@clintmatthews3500 It's funny you mention that because Minfilia SLOWLY walks across the whole thing; scared to fall. She takes so long the others end the sequence before she even makes it across the first bend.

This song is still the most brilliant boss music in the game... a great combination of innovation in its sound as well as dramatic energy and thematic resonance. Really well-done and kind of a rare gem, although it's helped partly by the strength of the SB narrative as well.
I mean, she kinda does. A synonym for Obscenity is indecency. And her being both... ahem... 'appealing' and all but naked gives off an air of indecency. Hence her name.

Both stories are great in different ways, but I cant speak to the state of content or gameplay during shb because i only played afterward.
It’s basically the same lyric-wise as "Shadowbringers", which I have uploaded for that. However, I can try to make one if you’d like. I’d probably use Innocence EX footage though, which I haven’t cleared yet.
But...Titania-Agape gets "What Angel Wakes Me", not "Insatiable"...I wonder if by that light, you could get away with bringing in Vauthry for the video (Innocence? More like Philiauta.). (Now if only Ran'jit had gotten a subtitle for the fight between him and Thancred. >>; )
Well to be fair, the Eden fights don’t get "Insatiable" either. I used Titania because 1. there weren’t enough post-content dungeons at the time to fill up the intro segment, 2. the benchmark trailer did use "Insatiable" when featuring Titania during its boss segment and I wanted to bring reference that, 3. Titania was less of a spoiler at the time compared to Vauthry’s battle which was kept well hidden; Titania was featured prominently during Shadowbringers promotional images and videos. Heck, I would have LOVED to feature Ran’jit vs Thancred, but again, I didn’t wanna give away too much of the main scenario spoilers at the time (same reason goes for Hades).

Madmonkeman The only bothersome thing on the PS4 is the typing to reply to other players in parties in the Duty Finder. I have to stop playing for 2 minutes just to type up things up myself as they complain to ask "what is the matter, why did you stop!?"(You asked me a question, I intend to answer it, give me a sec to answer). Some people do the count down thing of asking me if I am ready because they cannot wait 2 freaken minutes to reply to their questions. Mind you, I am reply typing as fast as I can. The controls on the other hand are simple. I find it funny that nobody knows that if we fight the same side monsters in between bosses that we will take out the bosses quicklier before their Aether gauges fill up. Too bad typing "If we fight the same monsters together before the Aether gauge fills up, we will get back to the boss faster and win" takes a long time to type and nobody has the patience for me typing it. Too bad there isn't a option saying "Replying to your question, hang on". The other funny part is I always know the stategy from simple observations of how to beat bosses, problem being is tge typing takes too long once again to explain the strategy I figured out. To beat Rumuh on extreme, everyone has to grab the lightning bolts behind them to reduce his damage by 80% each time in a rythm till he is defeated.
