What the hell? That straight up looks like a Kenmore/Whirlpool agitator, best agitator they ever made. This is Incredible wash action. It would scrub the bejeezus out of your clothes
Grandma and Grandpa Carlson had a GE Spacemaker washer and dryer exactly like this one. They got it sometime in late 2007 or early 2008 after replacing their 1994 Whirlpool thin twin washer and dryer. The oil was leaking from the washer portion of the Whirlpool thin twin. Plus, I kept hearing the motor grinding a little bit during high agitation. I really like the washer you posted, including the three five-second spray rinses on the spin cycles.
I never used one of the Whirlpool/Kenmore laundry centers, but I do have a mid 80's Lady Kenmore belt drive portable washer and dryer set. I even have the stacking kit/stand for the dryer.
I have the whirlpool version belt drive portable (thinking late 70s early 80s) I also have the mid 80s direct drive portable. I actually like the belt drive better they’re smoother running washers and spin faster than the direct drives.
petermazbabie I may have mentioned this before but I have a 1963 RCA Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII set in turquoise and hopefully I can get a video of it one of these days. Reason why I haven’t uploaded since last November is the whole coppa thing that happened and in order to change the setting you have to download the TH-cam studio app but unfortunately I have forgotten my iCloud password and since that happened I can’t download the studio app and change the settings and that’s the real reason why I haven’t uploaded since last year.
I wish I could give this 100 thumbs up. Now this is what a top-load washer should do. This machine is SO far above the top-load HE machines that are made now! I have yet to see any of the new HE top-loaders come anywhere near the cleaning power of these, almost extinct, agitator washers. I have watched dozens of HE top-loading videos here on youtube and not one of them can hold a candle to this one.
Wow, this washer works really well, this GE(General Electric) stacked washer and dryer is a rebadged Whirlpool with some KitchenAid styling. This washer and dryer is better than most of the stuff made today.
I have the Whirlpool convertible portable that I picked up in pristine condition. I’m thinking maybe 30 years old. I can’t believe how powerful these small washers are. They definitely put today’s washers to shame. This is exactly the same as the Whirlpool except for the black and gray agitator as opposed to white.
LGwasherFan it is, I guess the design never changed. Mine was manufactured 1989. It’s in perfect condition no rust, nothing. I used it today and did 2 loads, works fantastic.
I've had a washer like this same settings and everything but it was a whirlpool and the load size on it was small and extra large but same water level as this. I used to love washing machines like this
What happened to rinse cycle? When the dirty, soapy water is drained, then the washing machine is refilled and your clothes are "rewashed" in clean water?
hi have the exact same model as in video. I just bought the house recently, so i realize the top agitator(agitator filter/barrier) is loose, i mean i can take it off easily, it's not secure to the bottom agitator, i won't able to snap it tight either, any advise? Thank you
aPugsLife did you ever take out the center post of the agitator there is a filter under there maybe yours is completely clogged it should be cleaned after each wash cycle. You can wash out the tub empty and use one of those clean washer tablets and hot water.
Garagedoorpro20 I was actually planning on doing a video soon! The 22 year old lift master is barely hanging in there, and the doors themselves have gotten a bit noisy
This washer cleans better and is more reliable than yours. If you have an he washer trust me it won’t make it 15 years, these could make it 15 years like nothing
Not that often that you see GE's name on a Whirlpool direct drive washer/dryer.
What the hell? That straight up looks like a Kenmore/Whirlpool agitator, best agitator they ever made. This is Incredible wash action. It would scrub the bejeezus out of your clothes
And the fact that it is a GE branded Whirlpool Direct Drive.
A washing machine that actually uses water to wash your clothes. Direct drives are the best

Sean A806 Would really be nice to see the turquoise set. 👍🏻

I thought it sounded and washed like a Whirlpool! Thank you for the info, and thank you for watching :)
Absolutely it’s better, this was built to last it’s built by whirlpool when they made excellent direct drive washers.
Direct Drives Rule!
Wow! That is an older washer.
LGwasherFan it is, I guess the design never changed. Mine was manufactured 1989. It’s in perfect condition no rust, nothing. I used it today and did 2 loads, works fantastic.
The sounds of the washer are like of the whirpool washer
The last of the good machines
Wow, I didn't know that GE even installed Whirlpool direct driver transmissions.
I've had a washer like this same settings and everything but it was a whirlpool and the load size on it was small and extra large but same water level as this. I used to love washing machines like this
Rebadged is right most certainly is a dd whirlpool.. Love it..
I heard the spray rinse during spin, but where is the water???
It comes out of the bottom of the tub
this is a whirlpool machine although it has the GE logo on the control panel
Im sure this LC wash made by Whirlpool on GE labeled.
It neutral drains for a long time
We had the same Washer in our last Vacation at Tibey Island!

How can you get these machines to do fast agitation and fast spin no matter what? (to make them like one speed machines)
Older direct drive washers are the best no doubt about it but that's just my opinion also can you do a live stream
I don't have the equipment to do a live stream, sorry
I never knew that GE has one of these. It looks like it was manufactured by Whirlpool or Kenmore.
It was. GE/Elecrolux ain't fooling no one
That explains it
Do they still sell this and where is the water valve
I don’t see it
Random Channel user oh now I get it but how come it’s in there?
I saw one of these but with the dual action agitator I believe whirlpool makes stackable direct drives still just not the big ones
This washer seems a lot like a whirlpool. The agitator even looks like a whirlpool product. I wonder if GE sourced it out to whirlpool for production?
GarageDoorGuy89 It is a Whirlpool.
It's a Cosmetically Engineered Whirlpool washer
How do you clean it, I have the same washer and my clothes smell bad
aPugsLife did you ever take out the center post of the agitator there is a filter under there maybe yours is completely clogged it should be cleaned after each wash cycle. You can wash out the tub empty and use one of those clean washer tablets and hot water.
Great machine
Last of the spray rinse..
How’s your garage doors and openers doing?
Garagedoorpro20 I was actually planning on doing a video soon! The 22 year old lift master is barely hanging in there, and the doors themselves have gotten a bit noisy
Maybe it’s time to replace the 1260 with a 8355 1/2hp belt drive
That's what I was thinking, but it comes down to how much my parents are willing to spend 😂
Install a genie belt drive from Home Depot 😂😂😂
So the agitation steps down instead of up as the GE washers were long known to do.
it's a rebadged whirlpool that's why.
Do you know what happened to the 1996 Kenmore
The 1996 Kenmore died in 2012, and was replaced with our LG
Looks like a Whirlpool/Kenmore Direct Drive Washer.
It is a GE rebranded Whirlpool so you would be correct
@@jonathanashbeck3740 It IS Whirlpool made.
i had this in my arizona home. Sadly,it broke
My washer is less violent with my clothes
This washer cleans better and is more reliable than yours. If you have an he washer trust me it won’t make it 15 years, these could make it 15 years like nothing
That's OK by the way if I am being annoying please tell me
You aren't, don't worry :)
