What happened to the canon version of Android 13? What about Androids 14 & 15? Apart from the Super Android 13 movie, there was a real version of Android 13. What happened to him? Was he killed? Trunks lines might have been affected by all the changes Toriyama had to do at the request of his editor. Also the idea of Trunks time travel actually not changing his timeline but instead creating an alternative timeline might have confused the writers for the movies.

I personally believe 13 is stronger than 17/18 because of the whole point of movie power scaling being different from the anime and the notion of each movie villain stated to be stronger than their anime counterparts.

Plus 13 was a model that was supposed to be a movie counterpart to cell and 14 and 15 being a counterpart to 17 and 18 because he absorbs them so its much better to see it as android 13 being a perfect form cell of sorts
Unless the movie versions of the Z fighters are weaker, but that wouldn't make sense logically.
They've fought the same main timeline enemies in addition to their own, so they should be stronger than our timeline Z fighters by default alone.
That's why I believe in this movie, Goku wasn't around or probably able to be around during the defeat of 17 and 18, and resurfaced after their defeat somehow.

it's logical to assume that Goku in that timeline wasn't around for some reason during 17 & 18.
Just like Certain Z fighters that were missing from other certain movies without explanation.
It's also logical to assume to the dialogue between Goku and 13 too. He implies as if he knows of 17, 18, 19, and 20,
But he also implies indirectly he never fought them in that timeline.
It's logical to assume Goku would have at some point in the battle compared 13 to 17, 18, 19, 20, even 16, or even Cell since he all but said he knew of them during the first encounter between him and 13.

Comes off as if this timeline Z Fighters or Goku at the very least never had to combat 17 & 18 in the hard manner if at all the other timelines had to go through.
We already know they never met or had to deal with Cell in this timeline because we saw this version of 17 and 18 kill this movies timeline Cell.
Somehow they had to have likely been defeated, reasoned with, or subdued by the time 13, 14, and 15 show up.
In conclusion, I'd say Goku in this movie timeline likely came up with the heart virus earlier than our timeline, but somewhat later than our Future Trunks Goku.
That would technically and logically put this timelines Goku out of action about right before the appearance of 17, 18, 16, 19, 20, and knowledge of Cell,
and fully healed from the antidote right after the Z fighters had somehow stopped the Androids who had already killed Gero and Cell themselves in the lab.
Whatever the reason, I think movie Goku missed out on the Androids entirely and that another Cell came to that timeline just like ours and successfully became perfect.
I think simply #13, #14 and #15 were simply not activated. Possible destroyed when Trunks and Krillin destroyed Gero’s lab.

@@GreatATheOne but he wasn’t though, because he was built with the intent to absorb 17 and 18 and become perfect, without the knowledge they were alive, he wouldn’t need to be activated and would just sit there. HE would be the last resort in that case.

There is actually a fan made comic (forgot the name, DB Multiverse I think) which shows their version of the events of the unseen timeline. Even though it’s fan-made, I find this telling a lot more believable if I’m being honest. As mentioned it’s very out of character for Goku and Vegeta, to allow 17 and 18 to be defeated with a simple remote.
In this story, Kami refused to let Goku and the others train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and he refused to fuse with Piccolo. He did this because 17 and 18 did nothing wrong, and are not threats to the world. Trunks and Krillin then find Dr.Gero basements, and discoveres the blueprints for 17 and 18. They also find fetus Cell, but they decide to leave him alone, since they have no knowledge of him, or his purpose.
The Z Fighters then decide to train at Capsule Corp, when the Androids suddenly arrive. Bulma had already created a shutdown device to use against them, and this scared 17 and 18, to point where 17 threatened to kill Bulma. But thankfully, 16 told them to stand down, and allow them to train, promising they won’t harm anybody. And eventually the Androids became friends with the Z-Fighters. 17 became a sparring partner for Goku, and eventually Goku managed to surpass him strength.
Trunks then takes the shutdown device to his timeline to disable his androids, and of course he gets killed by Cell, who proceeds to travel to the past one year before Trunks, thus creating the main timeline.
this is my favorite side chapter of DBM😭🫶

I like to imagine that in the unseen timeline that they went behind goku and vegeta's backs. I mean is it really so unbelievable that they wouldn't want to risk it?
Another thing is that I guess for Gero’s computer, the development project for creating cell was more important than the mechanical androids even though they were almost complete, as Cell would’ve been able to do everything that all the other androids could do, absorption in some way, self destructing in case if things go wrong, and has the potential to become stronger by absorbing the other androids, while by default being stronger than everyone else, at least that is until the Z fighters started training in the time chamber.
I wonder how much $30 is worth in Trunks' post-apocalyptic future. Assuming it's anything like Fallout, after most of the world was devastated and the population nearly wiped out by the Androids, the currency was likely rendered worthless(this time by dissolution more than hyper-inflation). Thus, it's possible that the greenback lost all value and was replaced by other commodities. Though, why the dollar currency was created on an alternate Earth where there is no United States and why it's mentioned when the primary form of currency seems to be Zeni is unknown. Perhaps because of the difference in continuity between the realities the movies take place in. Or perhaps because Funimation thought it was funny...

I think Androids 13-15 were in Gero's underground lab (the one in which Cell was). They were programmed to wake up if 17-18 were defeated somehow, which is what happened in the unseen timeline. In the main timeline, they were destroyed when Trunks and Krillin destroyed the underground lab.
Dr Gero confirmed that he disassembled all earlier models besides 16, 18 asks him about it before they kill him.

I always wondered what the other Androids that are never shown looked like. 1-7 and 9-12 were completely artificial, but Gero could not control their personalities: too dark, too stupid, too nice, etc. These units have design flaws or other problems, which lead to them being scrapped.
My head cannon Major Metallitron is “Android 4” due to his many similarities in design with Android 16, and because 4² = 16.
According to Dragon Ball Online Android 9, an artificial replica of Commander Red. Android 9 was an entirely mechanical Android constructed by Dr. Gero at some point following the Red Ribbon Army's defeat but possessed a problem and so was destroyed. So take it will a grain of salt.
9 and the androids that follow were created with the sole intention of killing Goku. However, like 1 through 7, 9 through 12, all have problems, which eventually lead to them being scrapped.
It would be cool if we had designs for the unseen ones.

But maybe the fact he was stuck guarding muscle tower is an indication he did have some flaw. Maybe his intelligence, couldn't do complicated tasks or something.

In a similar vain to what Tetsuya Nomura is doing with Kingdom Hearts, I really want to see Toriyama incorporate his original vision of what he intended to do with the Cell Saga in a future arc. I loved Dr.Gero & 19, it was such a shame they were killed off.

@@QaamansLand Many years ago, Tetsuya Nomura spent upwards of SEVEN YEARS developing a game called Versus 13, only to be told that he was taking too long & his work was given to someone else to finish with him only overlooking the project. But now I’m recent years, he’s now using Kingdom Hearts as a vessel to tell whatever story he was *going* to tell in Versus 13.

KH3 gave us little hints of this, but overall that was being saved for 4 now that Xehanorts story is all wrapped up. there are plenty of similarities between versus 13's trailers and verum rex footage. You can look up comparisons between the two.

What’s funny is 13 was super OP, before absorbing 14 and 15. Think about it, he was beating the shit out of Goku, and was fighting on par with him as a super saiyan. 13 himself only gets hit 3 times: 1 time from goku bursting from the ice while 13 was gloating, gohan hitting him in the back of his vest with a blast he couldn’t see, and piccolo bursting from the ice and grabbing him and tossing him.
Honestly, 13 was super interesting as a fighter. Better than the super form (which was too invulnerable and slow witted). Regular 13 was smart, deadly, cool, and iconic.
I feel like the unseen timeline being this movies timeline makes perfect sense.
"Future" Cell doesn't exist in the unseen timeline. Which means it's likely 16 doesn't exist. 19 and 20 probably never attacked and it was just 17 and 18 who attacked on that island.
I feel like Cells time travel changed the events way more than trunks did. The z fighters probably got pushed back by the androids, they found a way to deactivate them. And then trunks hung around, 13 happened and then on his trip back home he killed his own androids and then to the past he got killed by cell.
I'm following you, but my question is why future cell not existing makes 16 not exist? All the androids exist in every timeline, it's just a matter of if they were ever activated or destroyed

@@iamlordapollo I don't exactly mean he doesn't "exist" moreso that he was not around. He was either never activated or was destroyed at some point in his pod. 16 would not have been around for the same reason he's not around in the Trunks and cell timelines. Something about cells time travel(and not trunks time travel) caused a massive butterfly effect. Likely because unlike Trunks, cell wasn't trying to be careful about not changing anything major.

The opening scene of the movie is the tell tale sign for me… in the opening when 17 kills gero there are no Z warriors there and when you look at the underground bunker there is no tank with cell in it … the movie is basically screaming “CELL DOESNT EXIST HERE”

I love this theory bro, its spot on But i more believe that the Movie 7 Androids 17 and 18 where more reletive to their future counterparts from history of trunks timeline and knowing this fact i think Vegeta and Goku just defeated them with high difficulty having the ssme 3 year's of prep time they had in the Canon version of the Android saga since the movie 7 Androids where massively weaker than their Canon counterparts.
That would be impossible though. 17 and 18 are much stronger than 13,14 and 15.

Well in the movie it was shown in the other androids were in the sub-lab so technically would that not mean in the main/cannon timeline when trunks and krillin went to destroy the sub-lab and their version of cell perhaps they happened to destroy 13,14, and 15 as well?

Well i wouldn't say 16, 17 and 18 didn't exist in the unseen timeline, it could be that they were shut down and locked up like they were prior to being released. After all Gero DOES state that he activated them once before and had to shut them down. That ALONE does PROVE EXISTENCE of them (it doesn't mean that they were a variable in the threat to earth though).
And its ENTIRELY possible and probable that trunks simply didn't know of them (which doesn't mean they can't exist)
It also technically means that in cannon they could still in theory exist if they were in another lab of Gero prior to him moving into the mountains. Its possible that they sit in the old lab inactive like 16, 17 and 18 and 19 were.
You forget that in cannon it says he had to move his base to avoid attention. That alone implies another abandoned base. He did this so he could fix 16, 17, 18 and 19 in cannon. And according to Fighter Z also start work on android 21 (could be computer finished just like Cell)

Maybe it is because Android 17 and 18 destroyed the 13,14 and 15 chamber after killing Dr Gero. There is a scene where 17 and 18 use a ki to blast gero lab.
dr gero already said he got rid of androids 9-15 for being defective and that blast would not have affected them since they were kept underground
My theory is that 13, 14, and 15 are actually stonger that 16, 17 and 18 but wasn’t a complete model and would take to long to complete and since neither 13, 14, and 15 reminded him enough of his son like 16 did instead of taking the longer time to complete them he used the shut down device to deactivate them and destroyed them because of the fact that he didn’t any longer to kill Goku and knew that they would take several years to fully complete
I honestly don't think they are stronger. It just doesn't make much logical sense why he would risk using 17 and 18 or even make 19 and 20 if he already had androids stronger than all of them, that were also still loyal.

Think he should have shown up in Future Trunks timeline as a smaller villain with also C16 as Trunks friend (like in DB Multiverse), and not Zamusa
I don't know about the older android models, but there seemed to be a downward trend in power - at least starting at 16 - so I wouldn't be surprised if 13 was stronger, but had some other flaw in Gero's eyes that kept him from seeing the light of day.

Tbh I could see them making a Dragonball Super movie about not just android 13 but all the androids (or at least mentioning them in some way) we didn't see. Also making it a good way to add/rewrite non-canon android characters like super 17, the bio-warriors from bio-broly, dr wheelo and his minions, etc... or using their designs for new characters or inspiration.
Granted they would stop being their movie/dbgt versions but better than being forgotten right? We alteady don't know what happened to androids 9-12 so who knows?

I have two ideas, this is based off of a filler episode when Trunks and Cell are talking after Cell absorbs 18.
1: 17 and 18 destroyed them when they destroyed the lab, since we see them mock Cell in the unseen timeline.
Or 2: Cell absorbed them for a quick power boost while they were asleep. Making it possible for Cell to kill Trunks, but having reverting to his Larval form, Cell lost that power and had to regain it again in the main timeline.
I’m assuming he never made bail.
I Hope in the Future of Dragon Ball Super maybe Goku and Vegeta have to go to the Other Timelines and maybe they Can Visit the DBZ Movie Timeline and We can Get More Answers That way on for Example What Happened to Android 17 and 18 in the Super Android 13 Movie.

The movie Android 13 exists as part of what I call the "Anime-verse", a separate continuity that includes characters and events that don't officially exist in the manga. Stuff like filler, Anime Specials like Episode of Bardock and Future of Trunks, the DBZ movies before BoG, and GT all fall into this special Anime only continuity in which things often don't make any kind of chronological sense together but still exist together nonetheless. "Canon" Android 13 was probably nothing at all like his anime counterpart. That means no energy core assimilation, an entirely different appearance and personality, etc.

Limited Timelines is ALWAYS dumb. Theres no way to make it make sense in any media, which is why it is almost allways shown to be infinite, or just singular.
Multimedia properties like Dragon Ball need this to be able to make any sense because we have way too many continuities.
What really screwed people up on this subject are those dumb ass time rings which have no right to exist.
