Hey, i know this is a very late comment but i really wanted to thank you for being so open about your process of creating these. A lot of people i saw using blender would always jump into these very complicated and over the top ways of doing things but the way you just copied and pasted everything and then changed it according to what you wanted really brought me a new perspective that these things aren't otherwordly and they shouldn't be treated as such; it's a way of art as simple and as complicated as any other, and shortcuts are welcome. Whilst a lot of tutorials on other videos kinda made me aprehensive on 3D art you really are an inspiration. Thank you dude.

Also, you use Blender, so it will be more challenging but I'm into it, for now I'm doing architecture classes. I just noticed you have a nice workflow as well, I'm always so tired and never be able to finish one entire piece in one day pffft. how did you get that outer transparent layer in his skin? almoast like a glossy coat but seperated from the original mesh. Is it just duplicating the mesh and adding something like a glass texsture to it?

yup! duplicated the mesh > alt + S to fatten mesh > apply principled BSDF with transmission set to 1 and IOR set to 1.02
