I do a lot of manual baking in Blender since I like to make robots and if I decide to animate them, procedurals get a bit messed up if the surfaces of two parts are touching (It is generally a robot spider, every surface is touching) since the materials are using AO to see what pieces need to be rusted or similar. You can bake everything using the cycles engine as long as you disconnect metallic. You can bake metallic if you connect it to Emission and bake it as such. This works for multiple materials even if they are on the separated pieces of model as long as they are all selected and or course unvrepped properly. You basically add an image texture to the materials whilst in nodes (they are the only thing that must be selected) without connecting it to anything, go into engine settings and choose Cycles, go down to baking and select color, uncheck direct and indirect light and that is it, hit bake. You can bake everything this way as long as you have the specific map connected in your material. Also, the best part, you can actually make Normal maps from custom pictures by entering the Workbench (it is where you select the engines), then making a simple Plane, adding a photo to it as well as displacement and subdi... Then place a camera on top of it and render. It will come out as Normal...
Oh wow this is a great behind the scenes for everyone from like intermediate to super advanced blender users!! Extremely well edited! Probably the best blender video I've ever watched honestly

Man I CANT BELIEVE your sub didn't make into the Top 100, it looks AMAZING! I love your style and watching your creation process is inspiring. Keep trying, I wanna see more of your stuff in the Create with Clint challenges, and here on YT too of course!
@ch-yq5yn For sure, it was a wild competition, but as someone who made part of the challenge, I can say with confidence his work is on par with the Top 100. In fact, a lot of great subs didn't make into the Top 100, it's sad, but as Clint said it's difficult to choose only 100.
Is this industry stable? Will you always have to change companies after projects are done? Are the positions permanent?? I keep seeing many people in this industry become freelancers. My major is game programming & development. I’m looking at different career paths I could take..
I think the only reason you might've not made it to the top 100 was the environment. It didn't feel polished compared to the great character designs and animation. Really enjoyed watching your process, currently procrastination on learning blender haha.

I Love your art/animation style,I really wanna be able to make models and animations like you someday
If you can dream it, you can do it.

I clicked on this video almost accidentally but my eyes were glued to the screen the whole time. You inspired me very much and my love for 3d modeling sparked once again.
Bro the fact that you are using prebigbang Maplestory music makes me love you already
your voice is so relaxing, im just learning and your videos are a huge help to me.
Now make A animation in 1year! That will be awasome
This process is extremely incredible! You killed it!
Amazing work in such a short time... No doubt you have a lot of knowledge/experience with the tools and talent as well. Congratulations!
Bruh 😮💨 Working 18 days for 10 sec clip is hell.

That was really a worthy goal! The animation is beautiful!. This process is extremely incredible! You killed it!.
