    I'm glad you did this at normal speed. It's more motivating when you see people working at a slow pace, because timelapses make creating a model feel too easy.

    Appreciate the neutral speed, those who want can already speed up within TH-cam but speeding down isn't always good. Also better to let people know that they're not slow, that's how it's done :)

    For anyone struggling to straighten the legs when extruding at 3:04, I struggled too and its not only numpad 0 but it is s + z + 0 , and this will resize on z axes to size 0

I made this fox character practice successfully without any other help, but just fully follow your instructions.     I have loved watching this character creation, I have been sculpting by hand for years, but wanting to expand into digital sculpture. I have made my fair share of abstract creations in Blender so I am good with the interface, but for some reason completely bypassed the sculpting aspect of it for figurative creations. Watching this has given me a greater insight into the process, especially that right click shade smooth feature

    I'm stuck on 0:41. In the video, you can select area vertices (the circle selection area) while in my blender I have to select individual vertices. How do I change the selection?

      same problem here, i'm not sure how to fix it but "TAB" doesn't do that same thing. Will update if i find anything

      @@verymuchlily I found the solution! You need to click „Applicate“ or something similar (I dunno what it says in English, my Blender is in German), in the „Subdivision surface“ window. There‘s a little arrow you need to click to find that. (In the object mode)

    At 2:44 for those of you who are wondering how to fix the splitting issue, just make sure you check the "clipping" option in the mirror modifier and then try it again

    Great video! But at 3:00 - 3:05, vertices from not aligned to aligned on straight line. You Scale along Zaxis but Numpad 0 only merge vertices together. Would you explain that to me? Thanks

    Hello! I have a question. 0:39 - I don't have these dots all over the object. When I do the same command that you used, a rectangle appears with four dots on each corner and that's it. How can I make it look like yours and move the different dots? I can't do it rn.

      you need to hit "Apply" after you first add subidivision surface, she subdivides each object 2 times

    At 1:09, you elect one vertices and then stretch it upwards, and all the other vertices around it stretch as well. How are you getting it to do that? Mine only stretches the one point.

    i saw when you were doing the legs and the arms you did S + Z or X and numpad 0. what is that for? i saw what it did on the video and i did it on my own too and it works but i would like to understand the logic on it. thank you

      s + z + 0 => Resize on z axes to size 0
      Other tip : s + shift z + 10 => Resize on x, y (without z) to size 10

    great tutorial although I'm stuck at 12:46 where your scaling down the fur. When I do it it'll scale down it in two separate half's and there will be a gap in the middle. If anybody has any suggestions on how to fix it that would be great.

    let me ask 3:01 you press the Z key, a straight line appears. And I show a 45 degree slant line, then I press zero, it gets caught at the bottom, not like you.

    0:33 why does your cube has so many vertices, even after ¨Subdivision surface¨ i still have 8 faces

      +@@majaroman6978 you press ctrl+a . look the video again but slowly and you will notice.

    Firstly, thank you for this tutorial! Like seeing the work flow.
    Now question. How do you decide whether or not to make parts separate, like the head and tail, vs just extruding from holes like you did with the arms and legs? I'm curious because I challenged myself to guess and go ahead of you as I was following and felt confident I was seeing the patterns, and I really expected you to do the tail same as the arms.

      my personal thought process is the future skinning and rigging of the character and ideal animation movement but i'd love to hear the OP thoughts.
