I just want say thank you. I've had my G923 for couple of days and have been struggling on Forza with the out of the box settings, this set up is excellent and has really improved my lap times. 👍😁
If you are using an earlier G920 wheel you are going to want to lower the brake outside deadzone down to 80 or so IF you still have the original HARD rubber block in the pedals. Less brake pressure needed to achieve full braking.
@@dougs2k808 are you playing on pc or xbox? I tried on xbox to remap the “buttons” as they say, but when I press the clutch pedal, nothing happens. I will install it on pc and see if it works
Fantastic setup. Was using rivals as a baseline for how my wheel setup is affecting lap times. Gave this one a go, immediately slashed 6 tenths off my previous time.
Pretty good find here! I have a unmodded g923 and I turned my decel outside to 60 so I don’t feel like I’m gona break the pedal to get stopped. Set my clutch outside to 40 -60. Your setup helped me pick up a whole second faster on my track time. Easy to drive. No more spinning out, if I drive it respectfully. Gona have to try this on the older games some day. Thank you kind sir!! 4:10
Thank you so much. I got my wheel on the release day of Forza and it sucked so much with all the settings from other videos. Now finally I have fun driving with my wheel. I only turned down roadfeel scale to 100 and its perfect for me
It's a shame FM8 doesn't have some pre set settings for each popular wheel as a baseline so that its more pick-up and play but seems to me this is more a controller based arcade game more than sim, doesn't mean it's not fun but for those who enjoy the full feelings through a wheel I don't think it's quite there.
I have a g923 and have raced in iracing for several years. I think this game is incredible, but needs a bit of tweaking in regards to default braking. I've raced actual cars and never experienced the back and forth pulls I have in this game thus far, especially the Focus RS I'm in now. But i'm just some dude, who knows
Is there a way to make it where i dont have to turn my arms completely upside down to make a 45° turn? I'm on g923, turned the operating range in ghub to 540 and still the same
set it to 180, that way a 90 degree turn to either side will turn your car wheels fully, I usually play like this as many racing cars and formulas use the same operating range (180-270)

It inverts the wheel force feedback. If your car behaves normally with it off, don't worry about it. If your car behaves erratically when you turn the slightest amount, enable invert to fix it.
Always utilise the CSL Elite wheel settings more than in-game with Fanatec , this goes for any sim too, there's less risk to damaging the wheel as per the recommendations from Fanatec
I thought so.. they are much better than before.. just adjusted the self alignment cause I like the snap back fell and raised the ffb up a bit .. if the wheel feels a little heavy, which one would I scale down?
Anyone with better clutch settings suggestions? I more so want it to release about 25% off the floor and then I want it to engage about 5% in or maybe 10% so if I've got my foot rested on the clutch it's not going to start to engage until I actually press it in some.
I'm thinking of getting the G923 for my first racing wheel. I've seen online that the rattle is extremly loud, is this just the norm for the g923 or is it not noticable?
It doesn't rattle per say. Its more noise coming from the internal gears. It is for sure one of the louder wheels, but not too loud to the point where it's annoying.
Hi great video, nice settings, however i am still not that good with super cars in the wet, so set the traction and stability to sport, sorry need a little assistance, otherwise all settings as you described, and the feel and weight of the wheel is great, plus if a skid or slide starts i am able to get opposite lock on and catch it, yes.
