5:17 You can beat the challenge while using two players. One jumps underneath the coin and the other one uses the POW-block.

But there's another option using two players (not tested yet). One player is able to fly and the other one has no power-up. He can grab the first one so they can fly.

For the goomba jump challenge, there is a third goomba setup where only 2 giant goombas spawn. When jumping on these, they split into 2 big goombas like the ones you've already seen. This scenario requires 2 more jumps in total, which can be converted into the 2 1UPs you're missing

Fun fact: Some challenges are reused in Soup U and others are shown in the Super Guide in Peach's Castle
hate to be that guy but it’s called the hint block, not super guide. the luigi green block which appears after you die too many times is “super guide”
In 1-Goomba the enemies can spawn in 3 different sizes (small,medium,large) and in the book with the challenges it says what size the goombas have to be to get this amount of 1-Ups

W2-4 I have a few ideas.
Use multiplayer mode and pop the bubble mid-air.
If you pop it at the right place, the other player should be able to grab the Star Coin with the help of the wind.
The more bubbles, the easier it would be.
Use multiple players that bounce on each other to go further and higher.
And if the players jump on each other at the correct time, it might be possible.
I don't see it without at least 3 players, but it might be possible, although very hard to coordinate.
Does it break the concept of the challenge? Maybe? But unless the level got changed since the challenges were taken out, I see no way it could have been done. It's a 5 Stars for a reason...
And if Mini was not excluded, there is a trick to get infinite height with 2 players.
Watch Adeal's TASes' video about that level from 2 months ago to get an idea, even if it's a TAS strat, you have to see it.
(And yes, I got my second idea from a tactic Adeal used a lot in his recent videos...)

For I saw on the Goomba Stomping, you got the randomly selected version with the 4 Medium Goombas. Getting the 2 Large Goombas will snag you the 7 lives.

To get the The third star coin in the sand level you actually have to walk through the semi solid platform when the wind is blowing and then fall into the star coin

I have an idea for 2-4, but I don't know if it will work. You can maybe get momentum while running from a far distance and do a triple jump in the edge of the bridge, and impulsed by mid-air spins and the wind you should get to the Star Coin. Again, I don't know if it will work.

This is very interesting... I think Nintendo should've kept these challenges in the final game. Well, at least some of these challenges made their debut in Super Mario Bros. U

I have two ideas on how you might be able to get the third star coin without power ups. Granted, these are just ideas, but I think you might be able to get it with multiplayer. Idea one is with two players. One player uses a POW block to knock down the coin, and the other jumps and throws a shell at it as it’s falling. My other idea needs three players, where this time the second person throw player three. Hope this helps, Nico!
5:17 Maybe you can beat the challenge by using multiple players, with one player holding barrel and another player stand on the barrel to perform a double jump (or even triple jump if there are 3 players).

If you played the one with the 2 large goombas, then you’d get to 400 points. Then stomp on the 4 medium ones to get up to 4000 points. Then stomp on the 8 small ones to get to 7 extra lives. By the way, I love your videos, Nico. I’ve subscribed.

For the sand level I think you need to ground pound in midair to get it.
On the goomba stomping challenge, goombas have a chance on starting as the biggest size as possible. This allows you to get 7 ups
Was wondering about the 0 points challenges. Does it consider the points from the timer, too? I know it is possible to grab the flagpole just right at 0 without dying, giving it 0 points, so it should stay possible to score 0 while taking those into account
I miss playing this game so bad.
Maybe I should give any of those challenges a try when I find it.

For 2-4 use At least 3 players One of the player stands safely while the others carry each other to throw at the star. Since Mario wii is developed for multiplayer I would not be surprised if this is what your supposed to do but idk.

To get that 3rd star coin in the wind level you need to do a triple jump at the very edge and you can make it I’ve done that for the secret exit too so compared to that it’s very easy
