That's awesome! It really is not too bad once you know what to do. What are you printing? Any other problems yet? My SE has been printing so good for months - no problems. But if you have any issues, let me know and we can find an answer for you.
Just got my V3 SE today so I'm just watching vids while its been printing all day lol. I've been wanting a 3D printer for years and this was an impulse purchase, ebay was running a sitewide 20% coupon on all kinds of chinese consumer electronics including most of creality's official ebay store. So I got my SE for $160. Realistically I should have just gotten the KE but oh well. I'll slowly upgrade this one. I've been printing mods all day. Relocating the spool holder to the side, a filament guide etc. I mean I can't even get mad. I got basically a plug and play printer with auto leveling for $160
yeah that's a great price. I bought a filament runout sensor for mine....i like that. It's crazy how affordable it is now to get into 3d printing. Thanks for telling me, that is awesome.
it's been a very good little printer I have no complaints. I do really like the KE because of the filament runout sensor - i'm not good at paying attention to the small rolls as they run out so it's nice to have that automatically stop for me. A few other advantages also - the KE is MUCH faster. But this SE has been solid, working away all the time.
If you move the printer around you should do the auto-leveling again. I do not run the calibrations on my K1 hardly ever. Once in a while I will try it, just because I am bored haha. No need to do it every time, no.
@ Alright thanks. I just bought it yesterday and I’m waiting on it to be delivered. I just had an m3d I think it’s called it was like really small and needed calibrations every time I would print it took an hour and it was just bad. It also fried my pc and my steering wheel setup. But thanks. And sorry for not using . And , so much. Have a nice night/day
Hello very new and totally unfamiliar with what type of slicer software I'm supposed too be using for the V3 se and Where would I obtain or download such software too cumminicate too My 3D V3? Please Thank you all tips will be super helpful.
Hi there - happy to help. Go to creality.com and under the heading SUPPORT you will find SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD in the second column. Creality Print is the slicer I use and it is free of course. Once you have that you can simply drag STL files into the slicer and print away!
Is there some sorta trick to be able to read the SD card??? I plug it CORRECT WAY into the USB adapter and then plug it into my PC USB port and NOTHING !!!! I then tried it on my laptop and NOTHING. Both PC and laptop fail to detect the card. There is one gcode file on the SD card that the printer detects, so no problem there. I'm running Windows 11 on both PC and laptop.
Hi there! That is an odd issue! Can you email me at kevin@creality.com and I'll find an answer for you. I use the SD on my SE every day with no issues. Do you have another SD card you can test? Have you tried slicing a file and exporting to the SD card from your computer (or does the card not show up at all)? It sounds like the card shows up - but the file on the card is not there. In that case i would try putting a file on it and seeing if that shows up. Even a document or video file.
@@kevin.at.Creality Nah the SD card is simply NOT detected at all. No little beep like when it's plugged in and it doesn't show up in Windows Explorer. I'm not all that fussed about it because Ultimaker-Cura allows you to use a USB cable from printer to PC, and that's exactly how I print - directly from Laptop to printer via USB connection, using STL files. There are supposed to be other files on the SD card?? That I can't see, obviously because the card is undetected. The only file detected by the printer is the "shovel.gcode" that I have printed no problem at all.
@@phillipg1588 i don't think so. Firmware updates can be downloaded so even if there was one on there it wouldn't be necessary. I don't recall there being anything critical on the SD card.
Yes the V3 SE can only use the SD card on the left side (hint - the card goes in upsied down). If you want to connect via wifi you will have to upgrade with a nebula pad. I still just use the SD card, it's not too bad.
Hi there thank you for sharing. Completely new to 3d printing I am trying to learn. I am a jeweller and I want to be able to 3d print rings bangles etc for casting in metal later. Can I create my own pieces or do I have to always go online and search for 3d print files that will work ? Sorry if sounds dumb but I gotta know and learn. Thank you so much
@@kirtandrews1859 search online for tinkercad...it is a free online 3d design software that you can use to create your own designs. It's very beginner friendly. Have you considered resin printing for making your moulds? It is something you may want to look at since the detail in the finished print is much better.
@kevin.3D Thank you so much . I shall google tinkercad now. I just need to get a foot in the door. Yes I've looked at resin but so much more money I just can't afford. Thank you anyhow
The printer reads .gcode files but most that we download are STL files. This means they need to be "sliced". Creality has a slicer software called CREALITY PRINT on the website under SUPPORT>DOWNLOADS. Open the slicer program and drag your file into it. Then hit the button at the bottom to slice the file. Now you have a .gcode file you can save to your SD card.
I bought the same 3D printer from Amazon. After putting the printer all together. I went to bed leveling. I got an error followed by a loud noise that said. The nozzle temperature is too low. I can't go back to the previous screen. It is stuck on bed leveling with the 3 orange noozles with the loud noise.
check to make sure your switch is set to the right voltage for your country. One of the first steps - but easily missed - is to check this switch. If you are set to 110v but living in a country that uses 220v then this could happen.

honestly, running into the other room to get the SD card and put files on it is getting old fast. Yep, this week is the big upgrade week I think. Good idea, thanks Gary!
hmmm, that has never happened to me before. I would suggest checking the firmware - maybe re-install the firmware to make sure it is the most current one (check wiki.creality.com for instructions on this). Also, make sure the switch is selected for your proper power. There is a switch and lots of people miss that step - from the factory it is usually set for 220v and in the USA and Canada we use 110V. On your instructions it was one of the first things after you take it from the box. It is easy to miss. If you have the wrong power selected it could do some funny things like that.
Anyone else having issues on the project not sticking. Our first 4 no problem and now almost every project comes unstuck early in the project.,these are projects not from the Creality store...using tinker.
when the plate is new it always sticks very well. After while we need to give it some help. I use glue stick, just the regular stuff we used in school. Slide a thin layer over the plate and try again - should stick now.
no, the only way to get files onto this printer is on a SD card. There are options to add wifi using the nebula pad or the sonic pad so it's not impossible but those are extra costs. If you want to use wifi it's easier to upgrade to the KE model. It runs Klipper, can use wifi, is faster, and has a filament runout sensor. It is only about $80 more than the SE so I think it's worth it.
it uses the full size SD card - so a tf card will work if it is in the adapter card that you likely got with it. I have more of those adapter cards around my desk than I have SD cards!

Very helpful. Is the nozzle a spare as I did not see instillation of the nozzle.
The nozzle is already installed - no need to do that yourself. This is literally every step needed before printing. Super easy machine!

Can you add wifi to the printer?
if you add a sonic pad or nebula pad to this printer it will use Klipper software - speed up the prints and also add wifi capability.
i know it doesnt have wifi but does it have a manual connection? like can i just usb plug it into my computer?
