- These are some of the rules and practices that I followed over my 50 pound weight loss journey. A few videos ago I talked about my running journey and it only felt fitting to give some more insight on my weight loss journey, as those two experiences were very different. I love that you talked about your sobriety so openly, I’ve been wanting to cut back for a long time because alcohol really does take a toll on the body. Thanks for sharing 🫶🏽
It takes a HUGE toll, I’m not one to tell others to quit because that was specific to my journey but I do think a lot of people should probably just keep a closer eye on how much they consume
I love that you give tips while showing us your day instead of just sitting in front of the camera.
I’m losing my pandemic weight gain (60 pounds) and am down about 20 with a combo of caloric deficit and walking. Your point about being realistic w what you can have in your house is so spot on lol. Realistically I cannot have cookies around but can have like a fiber one granola bar to assuage my sweet tooth bc i truly do not want to experience the effects of overeating fiber lol
new subscriber! when you spoke about coming from a community that didn't grow up having the resources to learn properly about food and the way it works with our bodies. because we were so focused on literally surviving, we didn't have the luxury to really have a choice with food. this is something that isn't talked about but I'm so glad it's being brought up now so that young girls growing up now can learn how important it is to learn these things!! this is true generational trauma being healed and it's beautiful to see. can't wait to watch more of your videos! 💗
I used to weigh 250 always been overweight these past years I finally lost 50 lbs naturally by having a better relationship with food and being a bit more active and not getting stressed . These past months I gained some weight again but I actually joined the national guard at 36 and overweight! Didn’t think that would happen but I got in , today was my second day at RSP before I ship in a few months and I was actually recognized by the sergeants and chief warrant officer for doing a great job with the physical test just because I didn’t give up or stop I just did my best and girllll I never worked out so hard before but it really is mental because I knew this had to be done . The running part I just try to control my breathing and not stop I find that if you stop you’re going to be tired and dying I just kept going just pacing myself and jogging . It paid off meanwhile all the young and fit kids quit half way some threw up so I’m super proud of myself it’s never too late and I’m going to be the best shape ever and finally fighting off the struggle of being overweight .❤

I reached a middle ground with meal prep. The thought of eating 5 day old chicken grosses me out too, so I only make double portions of anything I cook. That way the food is still relatively fresh the next day, and I don't feel like I'm constantly cooking.

Hi Becca! 👋- I’m a new subscriber.😃 I’ve been on a weight loss journey happily for the past 9 months months. I’m a 61 yo woman. Today I’m celebrating a goal I’d set over 3 years ago to reach 185lbs by age 60. Well, I missed that date, but have FINALLY achieved it. I’m -85lbs and have 50 lbs to go to reach my healthy weight of 135lbs and BMI of 23. You look lovely and healthy. I’m going to look into older videos of yours. As someone who has lost 50 lbs, have gained some back, and is trying to honestly just achieve a healthy life, I can agree your weight loss journey turns into SO much more! ❤
Your story on why you first started losing weight is LITERALLY my current situation and why im making this pivot now. I've been on this yo-yo fitness journey for like a year and a half before and after having my baby girl, and i have been so frustrated. I always feel as though i have to go the extreme and go full out and that walking is a waste of time and will take longer. But I keep seeing that is not at all the case amd i just have to be consistent and content in the fact that this will take time. I too am thee biggest ive ever been and I feel so miserable. Ive been so sick and had gone to doctors who couldnt find anything wrong. But now that im eating better, I hardly feel sick.

I won’t meal prep but I will prep. Over the weekend I will buy whatever meat or fish I would eat clean and season then freeze. The day before I would take it out plus cook every other day. This just work for me to stay healthy and on schedule especially with being a mom.

I'm similar with meal prepping! My "meal prepping" is just making enough for 2-3 meals and having it next day, maybe the next after that (2 days old at MAX) haha. And only certain meals that do well as "left overs". My other main "meal prepping" is just "Ingredient Prepping", rather than the entire meal. Then I can throw together meals easier and quicker without having to prep the veggies, etc.

I buy small containers of ice cream or sherbet and already packaged individual snacks. It’s really helped me curb over indulgence. Though I do have a couple snacks that I buy every now and then with the knowledge im gonna eat the entire box. But I do crave them less now, too.
Totally agree with your mindset! It's hard but being honest with myself is important. Now I'm craving beet juice as well

Girl I hate leftovers too 😅 I tried to meal prep but I always ended up throwing it out so I just stopped trying to do something that wasn't for me
thing is, I WAS in this exact state of mind two years ago, I started walking to reduce stress and some exercices to lose weight and the weight just kinda fell off. but now i gained a lot of it back, ( which really makes me reflect on my eating habits) and i can't seem to enjoy walking again, nor the exercices. im lacking the motivation so i am stuck here 😢

Great messages in the vlog especially when it comes to stress!…so much to relate to in this video…I don’t mind dairy if it happens to be in the dessert but I definitely do not buy the items. Meal prep is also not for me flexibility and listening to what I want to eat.
Thisss, I always thought eating intuitively was made up but I think a lot of us just have to find a balance between good for us and tasty ☺️

Becca! I did good running my first 10K. Pace was 11, and finished at 1:18. I was spent at the end!! Definitely going to improve. If you have tips on pace and training I would love to hear.❤

Honestly being 100% vegan is really a challenge. I’ve tried it and I don’t eat meat and I don’t buy milk I never have been a big egg eater so I don’t eat those intentionally but like reading every label to make sure that nothing has dairy or eggs in it is really tedious so I’m exactly the same as you.
