Hi Amy, thank you so much for sharing your fitness back to health Journey, it gives me hope for myself, I am 64 years young and found out through my doctors that I have very bad cholesterol and some issues with my heart, I am only 5'4 have loss some inches in my height...lol so now I am learning to eat different and I walk and lift light weights just for my arms right now, I am not very over weight ,I weigh 133 pounds my goal is to get my cholesterol down to a healthy level and do better for my heart, it is getting pretty chilly where I live so by the end of this month I will have to go to the gym to do my walking, I too love being outdoors to exercise it's so calming to me I feel closer to the Lord Jesus as I pray and talk with Him as I am outside enjoying the beauty of his creation, I love the time you give here on your videos and when you share the Word of God, just want to say Thank you for everything from sharing your home and decorating to your own personal life 💖 you are truly a gift and inspiration , God Bless you and your family. from Julia in Southern Indiana .....or people just call me Julie. P.S. you are making a difference in this World for the Good!
1) Tell someone . 2) Track calories. 3) Drink more water. 4) High protein / fibre. 5) Some intermittent fasting. 6) Find modified favorite food options. 7) Exercise - Increase intensity as able. Set goals for motivation. Find what you love. 8) Reward is feeling good and showing progress.
Something about this comment just struck me - I really feel like I have such a long road ahead of me that I think I sabotage myself before I even try. I'm so ready to get out of my own way!
@@Chelle130 you are starting in the right place (mindset is EVERYTHING on a wellness journey) I have healed my own body naturally dropping over 50 pounds and healing my thyroid (which hormonal weight gain is SO much harder to lose because it WILL NOT come off until the hormones are back in balance which doctors told me was not possible) anyways I became so passionate I started helping women do the same thing and you know where we start? MINDSET. The first place to get healthy has to be your mind. There is an amazing book called "You are the Placebo" by Dr Joe Dispenza that is still one of my top 5 books ever (and I read a lot so for it to hold that spot for years is a big deal) I think that could really help you xoxo
I am a nurse practitioner and I wanted to take a moment to tell you what a wondeful experience it is to listen to you. You are a fantastic speaker. Hearing your story encourages me to get serious about my weight loss. Thank you!
@@AmyFritz yh I have started my weight loss journey and have already lost ten pounds through healthy non restrictive choices and exercising just a stone left to lose . thank this was inspiring .
You inspired me when I saw your progress. I was really out of shape. I started riding bike 3 days a week and then 6 days a week for an hour. I listen to books and love being outside. I also lift small free weights 3 days a week I have lost weight. I have cut back in my eating. I feel youthful again. I am in my late 60's. People are noticing that I have lost weight. I am accountable to my lady friends whom I pray with every week. God is good.
As of April 30, 2024 I am down 59 pounds. I started the year off at 326.6. I hated what I saw in the mirror. You can change! It is possible! I started vlogging and made my channel to hold myself a but more accountable and to share with others. Definitely the best decision I’ve ever made!
I’m 54 and 180 lbs. This is the heaviest I’ve ever been. My body is changing and I want to learn how to be a good steward in this new season of life. In the last several years, I experienced a traumatic event, menopause, loss my mother, and other stressful situations. As a Christian, my faith is being tested and I am praying God would give me grace to know what He is teaching me. I now have health problems that require attention, but I’m going to do the work to help my body feel better. Thank you for the inspiration, tips and support. May our Lord Jesus continue to guide your steps as you seek to glorify Him with your body, talents and gifts! 🙏✝️❤
My story is so very similar. Im 53 and my weight was always in the 160s after losing 192 lbs over 12 years ago. I had a hysterectomy in 2019 and not until 2022 I lost my son and grandchildren to alienation...I fell into deep depression and im menopausal. I am now fluctuating in the 180s...I so desperately want to feel good again and I ask Jesus everyday to guide me to be empowered by the spirit to move. My diet is already very good so I know its the stressor in my life that are holding me back. I wish you well and God heals you...and WAY TO GO AMY👏👏👏💪💪💪🙏🙏🙏
Congratulations on your weight loss so far and sorry for your loss, I lost my mom 10 years ago now and I still feel her with me everyday ♥️ I turned 50 this summer, and found I was also gaining weight and over all didn’t feel the greatest. Like Amy I started adding more protein, and low card and intermittent fast, from about 6:00 pm until 9:00 am, I know my body and I have always been a breakfast person, I get headaches if I miss is. But I switched to a smoothie adding all the things I need and I feel great and full. I also started moving my body 4-5 times a week, I follow 50 Fabulous workout on TH-cam and have gone down 2 pant sizes. She does work out programs for our age group, 8 minutes, 10 minutes, longer, walking, weights etc, I combine 2 or 3 each day and I feel really good. I have a bad knee and her workouts are easy on the body. Good luck ☺️
I dedicated my first year of retirement at 60 years old to getting my strength back through weight lifting. I only lost 10 pounds in one year, but I built muscle all over my body. After a stressful 35 yr medical career, I finally feel healthy myself.
You are very inspiring. I am 70 yo and I started changing my diet in December 2022 after having weight problems for most of my adult life. I have lost 45 pounds and I don’t know what took me so long. Anyways you look great and I love your channel.
I’m so proud of you. I’ve dealt with this for years. Right at 40 yrs. I start with 32oz. Water bottle. After 30 minutes after my meds, I have hot tea with collegian. I love keto / healthy foods. I cut out all high cab. foods. I read labels.... I’ve lost over 130 pounds. My highest weight was pushing 300 pounds. I’m below my goal weight and loving this new life. I do have a treat every now and then.
That is amazing! My daughter also started her weight loss journey in January and has lost 60+ lbs. She is a Pediatric Nurse Practioner and realized she needed to take care of her health. I give you props and I wish you the best in everything you do. I love your TH-cam videos as well!!
It’s crazy how much having a kid changes you! I was always skinny 105lbs the most, but after my first child I haven’t been able to get below 150lbs. I also now have 3 kids. I’m currently at 163 and dedicating my time now that they’re all in school to be healthy and strong for ME!
Amy, thank you so much for sharing your weight loss journey with us. My husband is watching with me and said that your story sounds like mine. I grew up as one of the skinny girls who could eat anything and everything. It wasn’t until after 2 pregnancies, a hysterectomy at 33 and the weight slowly crept up. At 5’ 5” and my highest weight was 230. I started a program on the last day of January, start weight of 221. After 9 months, I’m at 150 and I feel great! This is 40 pounds above my pre pregnancy weight but I know that at 61 years old, 140 is a healthy weight for me so that’s my goal.
I’ve lost almost 200 pounds but I’ve been playing with losing the last 40 pounds for a very, very long time now. Thank you so much Amy for this video. You’ve done such a wonderful job and have inspired me to buckle down again, get serious, and get that final 40 pounds off.
I started CrossFit four months ago. I can’t believe the difference it makes. Still need to clean up my diet so I’m glad to have your motivation to start. I have lost 50 pounds!
Thanks for sharing your journey! I was 230 pounds and now I'm 145 pounds. I started with clean keto + OMAD. Then transitioned to dirty keto & various IF schedules. I've added in strength training recently. You look good and I'm proud of you!
@nonenone355 A year prior, I decided to stop eating dessert and snacks. Then, when I started the clean keto + IF, I lost the majority of the weight after 8 months.
Hello, I was 285 lb in 2009,I started to loose I lost 128lb in 18 months,I used the 2009 Canada food guide. I was 48, and it was very easy to do,I took 4months to learn how to,cook properly, then added walking at 6 months, then a very easy, yoga on u tube a year in . You go girl ,Cuddles from Canada 🇬🇧🇨🇦🌺🌺🧘♀️
Amy, this brought tears to my eyes. I’m in the same boat you were in last year. Two kids in two years. I’ve always lived an active lifestyle with dance and soccer. It’s been SO hard watching my body change, and just the other day I finally took the plunge and started working out again. It’s been KICKING MY BUTT, but this video really helped me stay motivated. My goal is to lose 40 lbs, and dance for me is the best and most fun way to work out. Thank you so much for being so raw and vulnerable with us. It’s truly inspiring and makes us not feel so alone. You look absolutely incredible and I hope to look like you in the coming months. ❤
What a wonderful video. I have had a similar experience. In 2006 I was so heavy and uncomfortable. I started weight watchers, jazzercise and walking the hills where I lived in Apple Valley, Ohio. It took me two years to lose 50 lbs. At age 58-60. I am now 75 and still little by little losing more. I have kept that original 50 lb loss off and have additionally lost over these years another 18 lb. My goal is around 8 more. I use the app Healthi on my phone tracking every day. At the old age of 75 I still track, do aerobics and treadmill at my gym. Age makes no difference in our quest for good health, making our children proud of us and saying to ourselves, " hey, you're still looking great girl". I have a weight loss class at my church weekly based on all you have said and through the help of God I am truly thankful and blessed. Betty
Great video and motivation. I am older and have gained 40-50 lbs over the last 4 yrs or so. I hate it. I was thin growing up and lost weight after my 3 children were born. Fast forward to turning 60, ugh! You have made me want to work on this and start the weight loss journey. Thank you!
This is the first time I’ve ever felt a little hope. I’m almost the exact size of your starting weight and height. Thank you for taking the time to record this video ❤
Wow, Amy, so very proud of you! I've lost 30 lbs. in the last year, just cutting out junk food, eating more fruits and vegetables, good proteins, and watching portions. I haven't weighed 120 lbs. since my early 20s. Congratulations on your weight loss! Hugs and blessings, Amy!💗
Thank you for being so real! I get so discouraged when I find videos like this & it's people trying to sell something claiming a quick fix! This is how it's done & it reassuring to see people still do it this way, & it can be done with the right mindset! ❤
It is so refreshing to see somebody follow a balanced diet weight loss instead of a fad diet weight loss. Thank you for being a great example of using a healthy, maintainable method!
Thank you so much for being real! I’m 41 and recently noticed my scales were going up up up 😮😅and had to do something…. I’ve lost 18 pounds and I’m already feeling better! Again, thanks for the encouragement!
Thank you for sharing your journey with us! I’m working to better my health, too. So far I’m down 95lbs with a few more pounds to reach my desired goal. It’s not easy, but man, is it worthwhile!! ❤
I'm in my 20s and 215lbs. Just got married 3 months ago and gained 35lbs since we started our relationship, from the joy of being together. We have started going to the gym 3 times a week, and we are motivated to get a hold of our health. Your video was very encouraging. Your journey didn't sound extreme, but reasonable. You pushed yourself, but also didn't deprive your body. Thank you for sharing your experience!
People who are struggling need to watch this! Counting calories, focusing on protein and fiber moving the body (especially weight lifting!) is the way to do it for many. Maybe not all but this is all working famously for me too. Thank you for sharing!!
You look great! I am trying to lose weight. I have a lot to lose! It won’t be easy as I have MS and walk with a walker. I’ve lost 6 pounds and am encouraged but I want to keep feeling “up” about it. I’ve lost 80 pounds on Weight Watchers before I was diagnosed but have also developed Diabetes. Your talk was so encouraging. I’m sure I will listen to it many times in the next few months. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
First if all, Congratulations to you, Amy! Thank you for being so open and honest about your journey. I know that is not easy to do! I have been watching your channel for a longtime now. Thank you for being so inspiring and encouraging! I'm almost 50 (next year), I had my kids a little older than most. They are 8 and 13. I never lost the baby weight from my 2nd. My father passed away in 2019 and my husband's father passed away this February. It's been a real struggle. In between I lost 20 lbs, because my doctor said it was a good idea to start focusing on my health. Well, i gained it back. I felt so good to lose it, but life happens and I need to focus on me again! Your video has inspired me to do it! Thank you for sharing your approach. It has definitely motivated me to work on both the physical and mental parts of myself, so I can lead a healthy life and be there for my kids and husband! ❤
You have inspired me so much! I keep thinking, "If you can do it, I can, too!" I now walk three times a week and eat smaller portions. I've lost 4 pounds! The journey of losing 30 pounds starts with losing just 1! haha God is using you to bless so many "sisters!" Thank you!
You are such a lovely, honest and inspiring person. I cannot tell you how much comfort watching you brings me. I really love that you did not follow a specific diet. You ate what you liked and stayed within a calorie range. I really needed to hear this. I love everything about your channel. You bring light into my day. God bless you and your family.❤️
Good job Amy!!👏🏿👏🏿 You are an inspiration to women. At almost 50 I can no longer run( I used to love it too and get runner high, but bad knees and hips...) My husband who watched who has been telling me for years to do weight training instead of pounding on my bad joints finally told me to get a personal trainer and I have been loving feeling stronger. I still walk 3 to 4 times a week because frankly I LOVE it but building muscles 💪🏾 32:01 for us women is so important, it raises your resting metabolism and helps to prevent injuries. Bravo to you!! You look AMAZING!!👍🏾❤️
I'm 52, and have struggled with my poor eating choices over the years. Last year at this time I was about 10 lbs lighter,I was doing IF and moderste exercise with Pahla B here on youtube. I don't work outside the home, and I know how lucky I am for that. Sometimes, though, it feels isolating. I then turn to food. I'm a sugar addict. BUT, I know I can get back to where I was, and I greatly appreciate this motivating video! Congrats on your success! My goal is to lose weight and fall into better habits with food choices and exercise-by the end of April 2024! 💪🏽👊🏼🙌🏼❤
@SnS91099. I feel your pain! I'm 51, been a SAHM/housewife for 21 yrs. It's a blessing, but its also bad since I have access to the kitchen all day, lol. I was always thin until my late 30s then my mom passed and I started emotional eating and haven't stopped. I'm 40 lbs overweight, and going through menopause is terrible. Exercising is frustrating because I get hot flashes when I do anything the least bit strenuous. I'm so frustrated and feel like giving up 😩
I am 239 and 41 in a week. Mom of 3 here too. I am waiting for my juicer to come. Have been eating clean and whole foods for 2 weeks. I am down 6 lbs. I am doing a full body detox and hope this will help. No sugar but fruits yes. Thanks for sharing this... i am inspired!
Hi Amy! I am here for inspiration. I started to putting on weight since sixth grade. Gradually, after my kids I got really heavy and I never lost the baby weight after Baby #3. Years have gone by & things have not changed. During Covid, my thyroid stopped working and for most people, they gained 15 pounds, in my case, I gained 50 pounds and I am as heavy as I ever been. Here I am and I am listening.
Amy! So, so good! A little story about our 22-year-old son! While in college with a hard major - Software Engineering/math minor- he began cycling 🚴 every morning…along with weight lifting routine. It was a slow start, but turned into racing. Next his eating completely changed to whole foods, but yet he enjoys fun food while with his friends. The mental health clarity promoted him to graduate with the highest distinction of Summa Cum Laude! He has been battle an auto immune, vitiligo, that has also reversed! It has been AMAZING to watch! Game changer!!
Thank you for being up front and honest, I know it’s not easy. I’m on this journey now and I know all too well being in the 200’s…can’t wait to get back to ONEderland. 🎉. Congratulations, you’ve always been a pretty lady, but the weight loss makes you look so much younger.
Good morning, I enjoy your videos I have watched you when you and your family lived in Atlanta. I just turned 61 and I started my weight journey at the end of February of this year. Recently I had my blood work done as a follow up appointment my results are great from prior blood work. As of today I have lost 74 pounds!! My results have surprised me!!!! No exercise at this time hope to start soon. You look great and your passion is spot on. Congratulations Amy!!!! Great video!!!! Enjoy your family
Hi Amy, I’m so happy for you. Thank you for sharing what worked for you.😊 I’ve been on a weight loss journey since July and have been doing the intermittent fasting. I’ve have lost almost 20 lbs! I’m 56 years old, so the weight is coming off slowly, but I definitely will add more water and will exercise more. God is good and may he continue to bless you.💕
You are an absolute doll, Amy! Thank you for your braveness in sharing your health journey. You absolutely will make a difference for someone watching.
Hi Amy, congratulations you are such an inspiration!!! I started my weight loss journey Oct. 3, 23. I'm 65 and started walking briskly. I've built up to 1 1/2 -2 miles and lost 11lbs so far. I do count my calories and still have 2 pieces of dark chocolate a day (bite size). Every once in a while I get a coke, drink a few sips or more than toss it. So I'm not depriving myself of anything, just using moderation. Congratulations again and thank you for sharing your weight lost journey with us!
Congratulations. I love that you gave sound advise. I lost 45 pounds in 2021 using the same exact tools you shared. Then I going pregnant. And completely stopped exercising once my daughter was born. I've learned it doesn't work that way lol you have to keep it up. I've since gained all the weight back but I'll just be starting over. Such is life. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Amy, Loved your story! So I am quite a bit older then you, in 2014 I started road cycling, loved the camaraderie and the exercise, then my hubby joined along with me and my BFF, we did so many rides, 24 miles all the way up to a 100 mile ride, It was so fun, then life happened and I started having seizures and was diagnosed with Epilepsy, a year later had brain surgery....a year before that my hubby had a pituitary tumor and had brain surgery...and all sorts of health issues happened, more for me than my hubby...here we are in 2023 and I just had another brain surgery June 15 2023, all went well, we just found out my hubbys tumor is back so now he is having brain surgery again....HOWEVER I am a DETERMINED soul and we are both very optimistic in our outcomes....We both have already joined the gym, and I have been going until my hubbys diagnosos, we are waiting to get his radiation schedule and then I will be hitting the gym he will probably go after he's finished with his treatment...my motto is Just keep moving forward and that is our plan!!
Amy, I’ve been following your channel for a while now and let me just say….I am so very, very proud of you. You are amazing to be able to keep your home so pretty, be so talented, raise a family, and tackle something as hard as weight loss! I am just like you in that I never worried about weight my whole life. I cheered in middle school and played soccer in high school. Now, I have struggled with my weight for about 12 years. I am so ashamed that I don’t like to take pictures or be in pictures at all. You have really inspired me to start trying now. I just never know where to begin. ❤
@kellyvann203 just a note to encourage you to work on the mindset that the only goal is to be healthy and once you achieve that mindset, the tyranny of the scales and how you look will not hold you back. Don't hold back from asking for tips, I WAS that unhealthy skinny girl and the pressure to stay that way gave me body dysmorphia for years until I met my husband. Now as a mom of & I am healthy and strong - I'd love to help you get started!
I went into weight loss by adding things in, more vegetables, more fruit, more protein. And I found that I didn’t want to eat the junk. And I moved A LOT! Thank you for sharing your journey, Amy! You’re amazing!
I think what I love most about this video and your journey is that you did it the healthiest way. Counting calories and watching your sugar and fat content is still the best way. Plus you incorporated exercise. My husband and I walk daily which is still considered better than running ( hard on knees) but comfortable shoes are a must! Congratulations on your accomplishment! You are going to inspire a lot of people!
I lost 35 pounds about 11 years ago and have maintained it basically ever since. I recently got a little off track when I moved away from my home to another state and I gained 8 pounds. I focused and lost it over the past 3 months but still love to find good content to keep me on track. Your channel is very motivating and you are lovely. Great job! You look stunning! XOXO
You are a true beauty...and you exude positivity, as usual. I always enjoy your content, homemaking, and decorating inspiration. Looking forward to following you on whatever journey you follow!
This video was so calming and inspiring to watch! The music in the background and your voice just go beautifully together, it’s a top tier atmosphere. Your story is so amazing and inspiring and I’m glad you got on a good healthy track! You’re doing great!! 😊 I’m on my own health and fitness journey at the age of 18 ❤ +God bless you and your family, as well ❤
Just wanted to say thank you, loved this video! I am currently on my own weight loss journey, just started on Feb 12 and down 7 pounds from calorie counting and exercising 3-4 times a week. Today was a hard day and while I was at the gym your video popped up on TH-cam and it was exactly what I needed in that moment! I decided to subscribe and then follow you over on Instagram and while there I noticed that you’re also a Christian! Now I know I was meant to see your content, you came onto my feed for a purpose. Thank you again and God bless!
You are absolutely beautiful!!! Please do not let yourself gain it back. I lost 84 pounds in 9 months and I felt amazing but I had a beach trip and I had actually hit my goal weight but once I started eating on vacation it was all downhill. I feel so terrible I even try to stay away from people like say for instant at the bank that congratulated me and I was so proud and I am so embarrassed to go in and let them say that I’m getting it all back so I tried avoid people now, but I had to have plans on trying to get back in shape because I feel really bad. My knees hurt. Everything hurts. Good luck Amy.
My favorite part of this video is how you explained you did it naturally in the healthiest way you thought possible. I’m against putting anything foreign in my body. God already provides for us what we need to stay healthy through the land. Thanks so much for this video! Obesity has gone through the roof and misinterpreted as body positivity. May God continue to bless you Amy!
Very inspiring especially to loose that much weight in 9 months! I'm a runner, wife and mom so any homemaking, running and motherhood content is what I love!!
Hi Amy! Such a great video. Thank you for sharing your journey. I’m 52 and have gained a lot of weight over the past 2 years. I’ve tried before in the past and have been successful but always fall off the rails. Seeing your before and after pics have inspired me to get motivated to lose some much needed weight and stick to it. Congrats on your success. You look great. ❤
I have been waiting on this video. You have really worked hard in improving your life with that amazing weight loss. I have lost 63 pounds and still have 28 more pounds to go .This video was very helpful getting me focused getting into a better exercise program.I am 60 years old and it's definitely harder to loose .I definitely love picking out new clothes and not going to plus sizes. You are setting a path for your children to have healthy eating habits. So proud of my u tube friend. 😅😅😅
Literally this is one of the best videos on TH-cam for weight loss, I like the lose it app, and eating more Whole Foods and plant based is definitely a great help for me never feeling hungry for snacks, limiting all the processed foods and I like the calorie tracker because it keeps me busy while I’m waiting for results and nice to see what I’m doing daily also and understanding foods better.
Thank you Amy for sharing your journey. You look healthy, happy & beautiful. I’m so happy for you. You are a living testimony of what happens when we truly take charge & do something about it - naturally. Congratulations!!
Kudos to you for taking action early and focusing on being your best self! This is truly a gift to your family and to yourself. I'm 54 and just started my journey to health two years ago. I wish I would have prioritized my health long ago but I'm so happy to be feeling back to myself.
I am so thankful you posted this. I wondered if you had used medication. I tried to but the side effects were too much for me. I am much older than you and I exercise daily but I have not been consistent tracking my calories. I go all in and poop out. This motivated me to start tracking again tomorrow. Thank you for being vulnerable. Congratulations!❤️
Im 40 and i have 3 kids. The youngest is 4yrs old. It’s hard to keep track of my calories. I just had mashed potatos but have no clue how to count the calories.
Thank you so much for sharing! I am in the beginning stages of my weight loss journey and happened upon your video after almost being sucked into another “only $49 and you’ll lose 30lbs in 28 days” scheme. I appreciate your realistic approach to health. My second daughter just turned 1 so I’m ready to get my body back!!
You are so very inspirational. I started a diet journey in January as well, went to gym 5days a week, stopped going in April. I’m 75 yrs old my starting weight was 198lbs now I’m at 168 lbs. I’m not faithful anymore i would love to get down to 160lbs. You have motivated me to started over so I can hit my goal!! Tfs 🥰👵🏽👍🏾🙏🏾
@@orietdiamond4185 Ty it’s not easy at my age, with medical issues, but I’m working on it. I’m trying to get to 160lbs. I’m stuck at 168lbs. I need to focus again so I can get to my goal. Blessings 🥰👵🏽
You came through extremely well on your health journey. You would never know you were out of your comfort zone Amy. I too used to enjoy running but got away from it for decades. I am on my health journey now a bit later than I should be, I am 72. I am only down 34lbs so far but my cholesterol is now in the healthy range and I feel better. And that is only the beginning for me. Thank you for sharing and your honesty.❤️
Amy you look so amazing! I know you feel so much better and healthier. I too am on a health journey and have lost around 30lbs..I have changed my eating completely and am now including movement to my regimen. It has been a pleasure to see the changes on you. Keep up the excellent work!
Amy, you did WONDERFUL in sharing your weight-loss journey! I’m 69 and related to the steps you took; particularly, being accountable via tracking, which, for me, has always been essential in “staying the course.” Your process was/is very similar to mine…. I, too, benefit with “kick-starting” each and every January 1st with affirmations. Again, your journey is inspiring! 🤗👍🏼
I relate so much to all this! I am also 5' 6" and my HW ever was 232 lbs. I'm currently trying to lose the weight now, just started 2 weeks ago and down 5 lbs. You give me so much hope that I can lose all this weight too! For me, it also crept up over about 4 years or so when I met bf, we started dating and now live together. But now I'm trying to eat better and just make better food decisions.
Thank the Lord! You literally just popped up on my TH-cam out of knowhere. I’m in the UK and have never heard of you but I’m so so pleased I have now. Loved this video. You look amazing (still beautiful before but stunning now!) and you’re an absolute inspiration to me and many others I’m sure. You are so chill and easy to listen to unlike many manic TH-camrs and you are so very real and authentic. It’s lovely to meet you Amy. You now have a new subscriber! 😊
I really appreciate you being so vulnerable. I just found your channel and subscribed! I’m the same height and close to your starting weight. I’ve tried restrictive diets and they just aren’t sustainable. Thank you for your insight and tips. I also appreciate the fact that even though you’ve lost weight, you still dress modestly❤️Also, oddly enough, my family will most likely be moving to Ohio in the next year for my husbands job!
Thanks Amy for all your encouragement. I just started my new health journal last Monday. Seeing and hearing your journey really inspires me to keep going!
You are literally such a wholesome soul. Thank you for sharing your experiences! Your voice and delivery is just so trusting and approachable. Love your content!
Congratulations beautiful girl! Yes you can’t pour from an empty cup! On a call a prospect “you are who God says you are” your creator, has given you wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to be in your journey and perhaps Amy to even help others at the time we never know in life where our journey may go. Continue to be blessed and inspiring others I was scrolling through all the people that have been in your situation, and certainly I love the way you did it which was not having to pay a company to give you food or teach you how to eat. We all know how to do that, but we all have to make a decision. Do we want to have a productive and healthy life? questions to ask yourself. Especially to mamas that have little babies being a role. Model is so important in this day and age. May you be blessed and continue to be a blessing thank you Amy for this platform.❤
Seeing you smile and mean every word you said was encouraging enough! I’ve had 2 babies in 2 years. I’m at my heaviest (161lbs) and it was so hard for me (still is) to look in the mirror and see my body. I lost almost 10lbs, but fell off the wagon for a few months. I feel the hardest part for me is finding food hacks and finding encouragement. I’m going to save this video and play it when I feel myself slipping from my journey. Thank you for sharing!! So inspiring :)
Amy you hard work has paid off. I just turned 70 and I have been over weight since having children and less active this will encourage me to find what it is.
Thank you Amy and congratulations on getting healthy and strong. I’m a grandma and have been changing a lot of old habits and loosing weight slowly but surely. I do try and work out with weights and walk but sometimes stuff gets in the way. Watching your video has encouraged me to tell people no and do what I have to do to be consistent. For an example, when my walking buddy can’t walk with me, go by myself or go to the gym and get on the tread mill.
I am so glad I found your channel. We are so similar with our body types, all the way down to our Chick Fil A meals with a Dr. Pepper. I have put on so much weight this year and I have been so discouraged of what I have let myself become. Your video just gave me a boost of encouragement. Congratulations on your journey! Hopefully I am not far behind you.💕
OMG 1:52 in your first half marathon?!?! Amazing!!! I've run about 50 half marathons and I always struggled to break 2 hours. Got it a few times and 1:52 was my best time! Great content, your presentation and voice are so calming and warm.
Amy, first of all you look amazing!🎉 Thank you so much for sharing your journey. After watching this video I weighed myself...I weigh 228lbs. I had twins six years ago and never lost the extra weight. You have inspired me to begin a health journey. I plan to start this journey Sunday, 10/21. I don't want to wait for the new year.😂 I have not ran in years and like you, that will be my motivation for now...to get back into running! I love running! I thank you so much for this video today. I really needed it!❤
You did a great job sharing your journey. You kept me engaged from start to finish. Back during COVID I lost 50lbs. Started at 177lbs. 127 lbs is too thin for me. I’m 5’5. 137lbs Is a good weight for me. After I caught COVID I started eating bad and stopped walking so I definitely need to loose 20lbs. You’re an inspiration! You look great! I better get walking 😊
I'm truly inspired, same height and start weight as yourself I started my journey 1st Jan this year and already feeling good. With outdoor cycling daily and eating cleaner I'm really feeling the benefits. It's great to hear someone talking about food and not about the stereotypical diets, you look amazing Amy. New subscriber sending love from across the pond 🇬🇧 😊
Amy, you look incredible, you’re glowing! I’m so inspired by you, I’m 5’6 and about the same weight when you first started. Thank you for all of the advice & things to consider. Thank you for sharing all of this & being vulnerable with us 😊
You are an expert. As you share your blessings with others, You are kind and gentle, motivational and inspiring, intentional and thoughtful….. You may not be a fitness guru, but you are incredibly talented And I appreciate you and I am so thankful for how you have touched my life
Thank you for talking about your success losing weight by changing your lifestyle. This shows that losing weight naturally is still possible and it’s okay to be disciplined and trust the process 👏🏾
Love you all. Thank you for your support on this journey! ❤
Thank you! Thank you! You are such a good woman - love watching you!!
2) Track calories.
3) Drink more water.
4) High protein / fibre.
5) Some intermittent fasting.
6) Find modified favorite food options.
7) Exercise - Increase intensity as able. Set goals for motivation. Find what you love.

The mindset shift is everything! I used to believe I couldn't lose 1 pound, let alone 80+. One day I said "I can and I will." And I did!
Great job 👏👏
@@pisicacutecat4869 Thank you!
Something about this comment just struck me - I really feel like I have such a long road ahead of me that I think I sabotage myself before I even try. I'm so ready to get out of my own way!
@Chelle130 You can and you will! I'm rooting for you!

I am about 211 and want to be a 140 😢I always had problems with my weight.
Same and im 5’6! We got this gurl! 💪
Same boat girl how are you doing on your journey?
Congratulations!😊

Congrats🥳
You are very inspiring. I am 70 yo and I started changing my diet in December 2022 after having weight problems for most of my adult life. I have lost 45 pounds and I don’t know what took me so long. Anyways you look great and I love your channel.
Good for you! It's harder as we get older.
christinehorne1840 Hi 👋. I am 62 and struggling with my weight. Can I ask how you lost your weight??
I’m so proud of you. I’ve dealt with this for years. Right at 40 yrs. I start with 32oz. Water bottle. After 30 minutes after my meds, I have hot tea with collegian. I love keto / healthy foods. I cut out all high cab. foods. I read labels.... I’ve lost over 130 pounds. My highest weight was pushing 300 pounds. I’m below my goal weight and loving this new life. I do have a treat every now and then.
Thank you! Congratulations🥰

Thank you!!! Congratulations❤️
Congrats !What program ?

Can I just say a massive well done and hug to you. I think losing weight and changing your lifestyle is one of the hardest things you could ever do. ❤
I started CrossFit four months ago. I can’t believe the difference it makes. Still need to clean up my diet so I’m glad to have your motivation to start. I have lost 50 pounds!
That’s awesome, congratulations😊
Thanks for sharing your journey! I was 230 pounds and now I'm 145 pounds. I started with clean keto + OMAD. Then transitioned to dirty keto & various IF schedules. I've added in strength training recently.
You look good and I'm proud of you!
How many months did it take you to lose the weight?
@nonenone355 A year prior, I decided to stop eating dessert and snacks. Then, when I started the clean keto + IF, I lost the majority of the weight after 8 months.
What is OMAD? I am at 180 and looking to get down to 145. I need the strength training like you are doing. I am losing muscle mass.
@@IslandGirl7215 OMAD stands for One Meal A Day. Eating a lot of protein + strength training helps with retaining muscle mass.
Hope you’re as proud of yourself as you should be!

Betty
Thank you!!!
Thank you Amy, for being so vulnerable, sweet and encouraging. You are such a beautiful soul.
Great video and motivation. I am older and have gained 40-50 lbs over the last 4 yrs or so. I hate it. I was thin growing up and lost weight after my 3 children were born. Fast forward to turning 60, ugh! You have made me want to work on this and start the weight loss journey. Thank you!

The music was perfect. Almost no one on TH-cam does the music right when they play it while they’re talking. She got it spot on. Calming. Hopeful.
Congratulations, Amy. You are inspiring so many ladies to get healthy.
START NOW YOU DID IT ONCE YOU CAN DO IT AGAIN !!! Start NOW !!!
Also, you look awesomely beautiful and such an inspiration for others!
Thanks so much!
Thank you for being transparent. I thought you did a great job!
Thanks😊
Aw! Thanks😊
Thanks!😊
Im 40 and i have 3 kids. The youngest is 4yrs old. It’s hard to keep track of my calories. I just had mashed potatos but have no clue how to count the calories.
Thank you so much for sharing! I am in the beginning stages of my weight loss journey and happened upon your video after almost being sucked into another “only $49 and you’ll lose 30lbs in 28 days” scheme. I appreciate your realistic approach to health. My second daughter just turned 1 so I’m ready to get my body back!!
Thank you!❤️
You are so very inspirational. Tfs 🥰👵🏽👍🏾🙏🏾
Congratulations on your 30 lb weight loss. Same age. Lost 10. Going to start tracking what I eat.
@@orietdiamond4185 Ty it’s not easy at my age, with medical issues, but I’m working on it. I’m trying to get to 160lbs. I’m stuck at 168lbs. I need to focus again so I can get to my goal. Blessings 🥰👵🏽
@@carriedavis9675You're an inspiration, as well as Amy!
Aw, thanks😊
Amy you look so amazing! I know you feel so much better and healthier. I too am on a health journey and have lost around 30lbs..I have changed my eating completely and am now including movement to my regimen. It has been a pleasure to see the changes on you. Keep up the excellent work!
Amy, you did WONDERFUL in sharing your weight-loss journey!
I’m 69 and related to the steps you took; particularly, being accountable via tracking, which, for me, has always been essential in “staying the course.”
Your process was/is very similar to mine…. I, too, benefit with “kick-starting” each and every January 1st with affirmations.
Again, your journey is inspiring! 🤗👍🏼
Thanks so much😊
I relate so much to all this!
Thank you, & congratulations!🙌🏼
Thank the Lord! You literally just popped up on my TH-cam out of knowhere. I’m in the UK and have never heard of you but I’m so so pleased I have now.
Loved this video. You look amazing (still beautiful before but stunning now!) and you’re an absolute inspiration to me and many others I’m sure.
You are so chill and easy to listen to unlike many manic TH-camrs and you are so very real and authentic.
It’s lovely to meet you Amy. You now have a new subscriber! 😊
Aw! Thank you, I’m SO glad you’re here😊
I really appreciate you being so vulnerable.
Aw, thank you!😊
I loved hearing your story
Im 63 having had my last baby at 41 and still trying to get in shape
Im following you now
Youve inspired me💕
Thank you!😊
Thanks Amy for all your encouragement. I just started my new health journal last Monday. Seeing and hearing your journey really inspires me to keep going!
You are literally such a wholesome soul. Thank you for sharing your experiences! Your voice and delivery is just so trusting and approachable. Love your content!
Thank you so much!😊
Congratulations beautiful girl!
Aw, thanks so much!!!
You are literally glowing with joy and vitality! What a gift to not only yourself but to your family as well. Thank you for sharing Amy! ❤
Amy you hard work has paid off. I just turned 70 and I have been over weight since having children and less active this will encourage me to find what it is.
Step #1 @ 10 mins
Thank you Amy and congratulations on getting healthy and strong. I’m a grandma and have been changing a lot of old habits and loosing weight slowly but surely. I do try and work out with weights and walk but sometimes stuff gets in the way. Watching your video has encouraged me to tell people no and do what I have to do to be consistent. For an example, when my walking buddy can’t walk with me, go by myself or go to the gym and get on the tread mill.
Thank you so much!!!
Thanks so much!
I really needed it!❤
Wow, not a coincidence that our starting weights are the same! ♥️♥️ start today! You’ll be a new person by the new year! 😊
Make a video on whole foods and how you cook them. Healthy snacks. Drinks. Tricks on how to drink more water. Coffee tips.
Thank you for sharing all of this & being vulnerable with us 😊
Thank you!!!
You are an expert. As you share your blessings with others, You are kind and gentle, motivational and inspiring, intentional and thoughtful…..
You may not be a fitness guru, but you are incredibly talented And I appreciate you and I am so thankful for how you have touched my life
Congratulations!! Please share more stories about your health journey. I love your regular content but this a new side of you that is very inspiring!
Thank you for talking about your success losing weight by changing your lifestyle. This shows that losing weight naturally is still possible and it’s okay to be disciplined and trust the process 👏🏾
Thanks!!!
