It’s obvious they get big youtubers for advertising but we still have seen more stuff from the Series X compared to the PS5 regardless. We’ve seen hud elements, quick resume, loading times, the consoles optimization power on older games, backwards compatibility, how the SSD affects the game, etc at their homes and how it fits meanwhile we still barely know anything about the PS5 and they did it in a controlled environment and only played games that Sony more then likely selected for them.

Sony was on the edge at the end of last gen, all they had was exclusives when Microsoft with the Xbox One X was a power gem it had Gamepass, real 4K ultra and tons of games coming to it, right now Microsoft is winning by Miles ahead of Sony, with its new features and ways of resuming a game without losing time and resetting all of you’re progress in a game while Sony have their fingers up their asses and are only working on remasters of games that weren’t good to begin with, and Microsoft has a fuckload of exclusives coming in 2021 such as Scorn, Gears Tactics, Warhammer: Darktide, Grounded enhanced, Exomecha, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2, and obviously Halo Infinite,

but what about the bottleneck, ps5 had no bottleneck it use 9 channels!!!!!
The only reason they plan to use NVMe's is cause Microsoft and Sony plan to use a directstorage technology where instead of the game daya going from drive > cpu > VRAM, it'll just skip the cpu and go straight from sotrage to vram at extreme speeds, essentially dropping loading screens to just a few seconds. Techquickie did a vid about it called "How a console might be faster than your pc". Note: Microsoft plans to develop this for both Xbox and Windows 10, but for PC it requires an RTX card.
Main downside: it has to be implemented from the ground up by developers and put into the engine.

I will never understand people thinking that the rumors of over heating are false. No one ever stops to think that early in the development they tried a smaller chassis and cooling design that resulted in overheating. As a result they made it bigger to accommodate a better cooling solution. Just simple product development.

I’m a PlayStation guy but honestly respect Xbox’s pro consumer approach this generation, Microsoft have been great with game pass which I have on my PC and it’s 100% worth it, and the acquisitions they’ve made is really revealing how they’re making their console seem like the obvious choice, only thing keeping me on PlayStation is my mates are on it and a couple good franchises I’m real into atm. Hopefully get both at some point though, things definitely looking better for Xbox compared to the start of last gen

Anyway, I am not sure why anyone would find some of the images to be hugely fake - if the PS5 is reportedly running cool and quiet, with its more typical console design (laid on the side, in gross detail), and it needs a large heatsink to achieve that quiet and cool (higher speed due to lesser CU count), then the box is going to be big. You cannot cheat the rules of physics/fluid-dynamics/watt-dissipation/blah-blah-blah. If they wanted something smaller, they needed something boxier and/or PC like, and/or they needed more cu's at a slower speed. Since they opted for neither, you're getting a noticeably large device (with the cpu and gpu fighting for power to boot). Really, if this was a MS product, the Ponies would be hyped up like they are on crack as they shittalk it endlessly.
Functionality over looks. With Xbox One being a chonker, keeps it cooler.

PS5 has limited power usage. It won't overheat in the heaviest games while Series X will probably overheat when true next gen games and raytracing are coupled.

It could be rust on your RAM planks, dying GPU, dust, drivers - anything. And yeah, that can be a pain in the ass when it comes to PCs, I don't deny it. But it's also your personal problem, not a common issue for every PC user, you must understand that. Oh, wait, it could also be your power supply, I recently had that problem. First, my old one started dying and everything crashed like there's no tomorrow. THEN the new one turned out to be TOO POWERFUL and also crashed them games until I put everything into high performance mode in GPU and Windows settings. Try high performance first before trying anything else.
