- Apparently Microsoft has paid a developer (Ubisoft) to ensure that no PS5 Games will run at native 4k, at least according to the king of console war clickbait himself, CrapgamerReviews. According to the most pathetic Xbox Fanboy turned PlayStation fanboy, the only way games are not running at native 4k on the PlayStation 5 is because Microsoft is paying to ensure they have a clear power advantage over Sony. I've been saying for almost a year now that neither one of these consoles, the Xbox Series X and PS5, could run games at 4k 60fps but even though countless fanboys told me differently it looks like I was right all along.

Ubisoft already confirmed that Valhalla runs at 4K (native) at 60fps on Series X, and at 4K (upscaled) at 60fps on PS5.

They didn't tho. They haven't specified if it will be native or not. It's only known about ps5 because someone specifically asked about it. So I'm guessing they're pretty similar. But I'll have to do more digging on that

@Axsoul CAMPBELL normal 4k is 1440p I think and the native is 2160p which is a major difference when hd is 1080p

Sure... but since my monitors are 32” or less I really wouldn’t see much of a graphical difference. That’s why I opt for 1440p higher refresh rate monitors and eek out more FPS from my graphics card. When I upgrade to a new card, I’ll probably still stick with 1440p. People seem to be obsessed with resolution, but honestly in some games resolution barely means crap in the grand scheme of things. Playing a game like world of Warcraft or ESO at 4k is kind of pointless. It pretty much looks as good as it “can” look at 1440p. Those aren’t great examples, but nothing really comes to mind, since I’m eagerly awaiting AC Valhalla and haven’t played much of anything for 2+ months.

I've never sided when it comes to consoles I owned all of them. I had my preferred ones of course. Ps1 over Xbox Xbox 360 over ps2/3 and ps4 over the current Xboxes. But even though ps5 have better game line up. I'm 1million percent getting Xbox x Microsoft have listened to it's customers. It's been honest upfront it's not being selfish as shown with there latest purchase. And they see the future being able to pay monthly and have some of the latest games and games people played as kids and loved for free is the way to go. @@TeenageMutantZuckerTurtle nvme m.2 ssd help performance in some game though, red redemption 2 and escape from tarkov both greatly benefit if put on ssd’s. I had rdr2 on my 2tb hdd, then got the upgrade. Not only do I load into the story faster, I went from 60-45 FPS at ultra/high to 75-55 pretty stable.
@@dubstepgod123 it does help performance FPS, but it’s not going drastically shift the graphical quality your able to output. If you’re already doing ultra, an extra 20 FPS is a good benefit of faster texture streaming and asset loading. You’re getting better performance at something you can already do.
But an SSD is alone is not enough to say, take a system that runs the game at 1080p and make it run smoothly on full 4k. An SSD helps with FPS on stuff a system can already do, but it’s not likely to unlock new graphics options that a system previously couldn’t handle.
As someone who also uses an M.2, an SSD helps you run what you already run at a better framerate, but it’s not comparable to having a better GPU; the performance boost for me didn’t enable me to start playing games like RDR at 4k, just to play things at the same level I already did but more smoothly.
I think that’s the fallacy that Sony fans are falling into here, an SSD is great, but you can’t use it as an excuse to disregard other hardware specs. In the end, if the PS5’s GPU can’t handle full 4k output for some more-demanding games like AC Valhalla, then it can’t handle it, no matter what storage device is being used.
Dlss is a nvidis thing sure but amd was working on an implementation of the same tech on their new gpus, which of course we havent seen yet in practice but realistically i think thats the only way consoles can get the performance they're saying they have
@@TeenageMutantZuckerTurtle In the way games are normally made yes, you're right. But it seems like the industry is shifting to direct asset streaming. In that case a fast SSD (coupled with a dedicated decompressor) removes decompression strain from the CPU (Cerny stated about 10 Zen 2 cores).
It still doesn't make up for the GPU (no offload is removed from there), but the new techniques in which the SSD is utilized (not the SSD itself) can be beneficial for performance (that's very dependent on developer's implementation).

I was always a little skeptical about whether or not FPS really make that big of a difference, but I went ahead and bought a 144hz monitor and upgraded to a radeon 5700xt and I was absolutely blown away. They weren't even exaggerating, Higher frame rates make so much difference. I played at 4k 60 and then at 1440p 144hz and I'd take 144hz any day. 4k just Isn't a big deal. If your'e choosing between a higher refresh rate or a higher resolution, go for a higher refresh rate, you will NOT regret it.

Because, ray-tracing isn't turned on. You won't see any reflections or get any fancy lighting effects on the sweat. He'll have to delay it a few months and work through multiple game directors so that it gets that "next-gen" flair.
