Just got my first Benchmade a month ago, a 556 Mini-Grip with a coated blade and the green handles, there was a mixup with the blade type though so I got the awesome chance to test the Benchmade customer support. Got it back about a month ago and have been carrying it ever since. I got it happily based off of your and others reviews.

started with the crooked River, then got the drop point pardue, then a there back up, now got the 551. love benchmade. I also love that it only takes about a week and a half to get knifes back from them from being sharpened. I live a mere few hours from them so it makes things easier. I also sell them in my shop. makes it nice to be able to handle a lot of them before actually deciding whether or not to buy one.

looking to get a 531 sometime soon. I dont know why but I've always liked the look of knives with straight or semi symmetrical handles. (eg CRKT Fulcrum/Fulcrum 2)
My first Benchmade is a 553bk tanto grip. And I agree about how it fits the hand. Just melts into it. Next was the contego with blue and black g10. Big, bad, and beautiful. Last week I got the crooked river with grey g10. Love it.
KnifeLover ! it's too much too much knife for its design it's odd I normally like beefier designs but the 808 just doesn't strike me right but with that said it's still a nice knife good blade design and I like the canted angle of the blade to the handle as well as the pistol shaped grip lends itself to being good at a lot of tasks it just seems to me like it's trying too hard

I just heard nick shabazz say “don’t buy bm online only in store” so I got all this information but damn it’s like it’s almost too much info
+Lugermonger I have a 665 ABP that seems like the flip out mechanism has become rusted from sweating in my pocket over the months...(getting a belt holster after repair) I cleaned it out when I could, but it finally just quit "swingin/flipppin" out.... have you had any experience with sending knives back to Benchmade for repair? It is authentic from Amazon... but def not covered under warranty. I'm assuming...any insight would help... thanks for the time
Powderkeg yes their lifesharp service is actually quite good they will disassemble and clean the interior totally retune the mechanism as well as sharpen it they're not very quick it may take a few weeks you must go to Benchmade.com to their life sharp service page you don't have to sign up but send them an email letting them know it's on the way and send it to their address in Washington the 665 is a cool knife but not an automatic so you shouldn't have any trouble with them sending it back Balisongs or automatics you want to get sent in through a dealer if there's anything specifically wrong or that you want them to take a look at I have been told writing a note and sticking it in the Box with the knife is the best way

I'm so happy you said the 710 I get a lot of flack for not having a 940 and while not nearly as popular of a knife the 710 is much more significant in benchmades history and development good call
I love my Benchmade knives (I have 7), to the point I merely consider carrying one of my Kershaw, Cold Steel, Boker, or SOGs for a moment, before shaking my head and slipping the 940 in my pocket...I recently got an Infidel as well...I'm looking at a Contego next. You're right about the quality of the Griptilian too, many manufacturers offer an entry level, but it's in name only, without the quality you'd associate with that company...Benchmade quality is there from their most expensive gold-class, down to their cheapest blue-class. On a side-note, I've also got the Buck 110 Automatic earlier this year, though I haven't really liked the 110s since they moved the belt loop further down on the sheath sometime between the late '70s and early '80s, and I've never been a huge fan of Buck in the first place...but if you collect, you've got to have at least one 110 (I have 4 of them)

I love my Nakamura. Very classy knife with the carbon fiber and blue accents. Excellent for the business suit and easy to carry.

got a 555-1 for christmas . . . can't seem to put it down - just feels right in the hand.
I can't remember my 1st Benchmade but hands down my favorite is the full size AFCK. Best $99 I've spent on a knife.

Delica is more good for lighter use since it’s pretty small
940 is actually my favorite at least out of the four I have but I like it better than the griptillian and any other knives in my collection

The HK is made in China of lowest acceptable quality steel, sent mike back, poor quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
746 is a rip-off. Benchmade has some sweet knives but it kinda pisses me off when the blatantly copy another brands knife design.
