It's DCI 2032, all drums have wireless contact mics sending signals to a DAW, recorded, transients analyzed for timing differences (standard deviation), and a "cleanliness coefficient" is produced. Problem solved!!
"If you're not crediting execution, you basically have a design competition." This is the problem with the sheets in general. The two-number system makes it a design competition, and then the execution score is ALWAYS a function of the first number. It's always +0.1 to -0.5 of the first number. And that will always be DCI's issue so long as they continue this - it's a design race.
7:50 Lol. The full quote was: “You’re not gonna get that quality of what a percussion line brings to the activity *other than in drum corp*” EMC is not a percussion line. Nor does he perform in a line. He may have at some point. He’s a one man show. A street performer putting out a theatrical shingle on TH-cam (granted he does that pretty well).

"You're not gonna get this level of Percussion Performance anywhere else. "
I feel like people like EMC are slowly changing that.
