An answer for your firing deck question: the malignant plaguecaster ranged attack is a psychic attack, which can only be used by models with the psyker keyword. When using the firing deck rule, the rhino is making the ranged attacks and since he does not have the psyker keyword he cannot use the plague wind ability.
I see.. thank you so much for explaining that. One other thing I forgot to ask, can multiple units of Plague Marines be inside the Rhino if it is still under the 12 model limit?
@@Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge yes, your 12 passengers can ride even if they are not all in the same unit. 2 units of five plague marines and a leader in each can both be embarked in the rhino.
I just gotta say, I got into this hobby only a few months ago and also started with the same deathguard box as you and the blight hauler. It’s very cool to go through the same learning experience with someone who was also interested in the same faction. So I’ll be watching and making progress on my army with you!
That Rhino looks great, man. Really excellent work. 🙂 On a side note, Rhinos have always been ludicrously small compared to the number (and type) of troops they're supposed to be able to transport. Even way way back in the Rogue Trader days, when Space Marines were probably 2/3 the size they are now, and even the Imperial Guard used them, Rhinos were still obviously not large enough to transport a full squad even of Guard troopers. (Well, not and have any of the mechanicals necessary to actually power and drive the thing anyway.) Supposedly the reason for this was just to keep them from taking up too much real estate on the battlefield- it was big enough to give you the idea, but not so large as to cause problems placing minis. Can't swear to that, but it always struck me as reasonable. On the plus side though, back then you got three of them in a box for about $20 USD, IIRC. Which means even accounting for inflation, back in the day they cost 1/3rd what they do now. Although on the flip side, they were also a really simple, basic kit, which meant kitbashing them was a lot more straightforward, and a lot less painful to the wallet.
Thank you! And thanks for the brief history lesson! Crazy how much they have gone up in price since then. I'm gonna have to look them up to see what they used to look like!
Warhammer Community had one of their "40 Years of Warhammer" articles on it a few months back, including a short video and some scans of the original articles about them, if that helps.
As far as I know you CAN fire psychic weapons from within transports that have firing deck. They are just weapons. In 9th edition you could not cast spells from transports, but spells have been removed and replaced by psychic weapons and stat block rules. I could be wrong, but I did not find anything that states otherwise.
i was shocked to see your subscriber count, your content is amazing, it reminded me of early midwinter minis videos, please keep at youtube i cannot wait to see more of ur videos! well done of 400 subscribers i can imagen soon it will be 1000, good luck. have you looked into the channels future with stuff like patreon, looking through the comment section i am certain there are people who would be interested?
Thank you, I really appreciate that! I love the midwinter mini channel too :) Tbh I haven't looked into that kind of stuff yet. I'll have to do some research into it to find out what it is and get my head around it.
Older style kits dont have the best instruction, GW just assumed we'd figure it out, haha. That will be something you'll run into as many chaos models are a bit dated to some degree, compared to like SM who always get updated models. Great work on the rhino though! I wasnt sure if you were going to go heavy on the dirty, grungy look of tanks or maybe incoroporate your basing scheme more. Its got a nice balance of both and I think stands out as a center peice for your 500 point list! Also never be afriad of starting over. As long as the detail is still visible, you can repaint it as many times as you'd like! For carrying cases I use large cheap clear plastic craft containers from hobby stores to carry my models. Get yourself some sizable magnetic sheets and some magnets for your models bases and you'll be good! There are plenty of videos on how you can make them, so I'd say give them a look. Speaking of 500, you're almost at 500 subs!! You've really been picking up steam since you started, so 1k subs should be achieveable by the end of the year no doubt haha. Your channel reminds me a lot of another guy who started not to long ago called Hammer of Wrath. You guys share similar vibes and soft mellow humble type video productions if that makes sense.
Ahh I see.. No wonder if felt really different to put together. Thank you! This one was challenging and yeah, it may just be the center piece of the army now haha. That's a good idea. I haven't tried anything with magnets yet but hopefully will be getting some soon. I know! I can't believe the amount of people that have been tuning in. I haven't heard of him before, I'll have to check out his content!
@@Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge Well a rhino is no centerpiece model compared to other things in the range like Motarian or any of the really awesome character sculpts, but it does stand out the most as the largest mode you have haha. Ah man once you get into magnets its a whole new level of modeling that opens the doors to a load of load out options for vehicles, monsters , and even units who may haver options like your plague marines.
@@foreverfornever1124 I can't even begin to imagine painting Mortarion yet haha. I do quite like the idea of being able to chop and change wargear options with magnets. Can't wait to try it out on something!
Sorry I’m late the party man wouldn’t miss a video if your painting but it’s looks good as they always should! I can see the ooze coming out those missiles
By listening and researching the death gaurd on you tube and internet youl get a better feel for your army it will also help you improve and give you more ideas, but we'll painted but it can still have battle damage added
Thanks for the heads up on the Rhino build being not as user friendly. I need to get one in the future and your experience was invaluable. Did you ever figure out if the plague bolter was better for you vs combi bolter? My feeling is that it won't matter much since it does so little attacks. Wouldn't lose sleep over it. 😂 Also, is there enough room in the Rhino to transport your dice in it? Hehe...
Thank you :) Tbh, I've been running with the Plague Bolter every time, just so it is easier to remember all of its attacks. The Rhino never really does damage to anything haha. But yes, there is definitely room for dice in there!

Man! I can hardly believe you've never painted miniatures before! That looks fantastic!
Thank you so much, that's a really nice thing to say :)

congrats on 400 subs!!! the rhino looks fantastic!!
Yes you can make the unit inside go out once you reach your desired destination
Thank you! Right, I thought that would be the case :)
Wow! It’s crazy how fast your improving 👏
Thank you! I'm still trying my best to learn and experiment with things :)
