Sounds like you accomplished your goal of playing a fun 10th Edition game with you painted models!

I'm just as new to this hobby as you are. I have been interested in the lore of Warhammer 40k for a long time now, but only like a month ago I finally got my first minis and started painting them. It's way more exciting for me to watch your videos because it feels like we're on the same journey, experiencing the joys of this game at the same time.

That's awesome! The lore is soo good right! I've been listening to a lot of Adeptus Riduclus when driving to work and things. Which army/faction did you decide to start with? :)

@Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge Haven't really chosen an army yet. For starting out I decided to buy the Recruit Edition, which had Space Marines and Necrons in it. I really enjoyed painting the Necrons and they look really cool in large numbers, so they might become my first army.

man all your videos are so nostalgic, even though i didn't transport my models in a pie box with foam i remember starting off transporting my models in tupperware. your vids are always so genuine and refreshing everything on yt rn is so polished but it so nice to see someone that so new to the hobby just discovering more about it as they take they're hobby journey, just so wholesome. keep up the amazing content!

Thank you so much 😊 Tbh, I was contemplating using Tupperware too haha. I'm glad you are enjoying the journey, I'm having so much fun learning about the whole hobby & grim dark universe of 40k!

The best boxes for starter players is their empty Leviathan box. It’s 40K branded and sturdy.

You learnt a few lessons today, I believe it was sun Tzu who once said to win the war you must first know your enemy, knollage is power, also your rhino is a soft transport to get your close range plague marines into combat range the rest just give slow supporting fire hard game against custodes remember your poxwalkers to absorb fire 🔥

Oh jeez, it's going to take me sooo long to learn all about all the different enemies in 40k haha. Thanks for the tips!

Sounds like a fun game and a great first experience with the army. To answer your question about anti infantry and critical hits, your opponent will still be able to save from them. The keyword that converts your weapons damage into mortal wounds is called devastating wounds.

Gotcha, thanks for explaining that! Sounds like we did the right thing then :)

nice starter transport idea. one of the best long-term transport/storage solutions is a sturdy plastic box with magnets to keep models held in place. fairly cheap, works well and depending on the box(es) you use can be modular.

Thanks! Right, I think I saw quite a lot of people using these over the weekend. Will have to try it out :)

Custodes are hard to play into especially for a first game. Good effort you'll get him next time!

They were so tough! It's a shame we had to call the game short. I think I would have got him in the end haha.

Just for storage ideas, I’d look in to ESO tabletop, he’s recently put up a decent video about a very cost effective way of storing and transporting miniatures, especially good for your spiky stuff

Anti infantry 2 means attacks against units with the keyword 'infantry' score a critical wound on a wound roll of a 2+

So now that it has been 3 months later, all I'm thinking is... What is Rokki using for carrying his miniatures from point A to B? For sure that pie box is still not in good condition???

    • @Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge
      @Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge  ปีที่แล้ว

I did eventually upgrade from the pie box haha. Turns out cardbox doesn't do so well in the rain..
