- This video shows on how to remove stuck ball joint:
1. place bottle jack under the ball joint.
2. Lift the suspension arm until there is sufficient gap to place the square end of the 1/2 inch in between the suspension arm and the ball joint.
3. make sure the tool will not slip out.
4. lower the bottle jack.
5. the ball joint will come loose. if not, tap with the hammer around the ball joint. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Dayum so smart. The more you understand how everything works on your car, the more you can hack some methods
Life saver!!!! Thank you!!!!
Thank you buddy it worked. Awesome.
Readily you are so smart.. I haven't ever seen like this.
Thank you very much 👍👍
Very cool I'm dealing with a stuck ballpoint now but I already got the control arm out except for the ball joint. Ball joint remover I have from harbor freight is too large and not working. I need to try this. Thanks
Same situation, 2020 honda civic, I almost finished changed the damn control arm when I noticed I ripped the boot and was too damaged to leave alone now I've spent hours trying to get it off, no luck
Wtf was that it ain't even come off
Bent the heck out of my lower control arm.
brilliant!
If only this worked for the horizontal oriented ones.
Fighting and getting butt kicked by sc400, any tips?
My problem is when I tighten the nut the rod turn as well .😢
Nice, but how will you get the new one back in 🤔
No tensions when maximum extracted, kind of just put it in, eventually with a little help from Mr crowbar
This looks interesting - just confused about how the car is supported? It the car on axle stands already and you jack the ball joiyhigher than the axles and then drop it down?
I've done my lower control arms now, but this could save me a lot of time on a different vehicle, if you can please explain it fully - thanks.
@@PapiQaz yeah basically you are right. Car on jack stands. Then compress spring, till the gap on ball joint become big enough to place the square of extension bar. Then release pressure from the bottle jack. The spring will do all the job in removing the ball joint. Sometimes it is necessary to give a slight hammer on side, but it will jump out for sure.
Thank you very much 👍
Ya I can't get the castle nut off cus the ball joint is fked
Been thinking about putting the tire back on and hopping up and down on the corner
Did that work ??
@@shutupandtakethisjab didn't do that, took the knuckle bolts off to move the control arm and get more leverage
No hammer but a tool most of us dont have
So with the weight it just pops out?
Basically, the spring tension pops it out, because control arm acts as leverage. Sometimes it needs a few taps, but it works everytime
@@Butkeviciusp pops it out like an arm socket lol the whole thing budges so it can be taken out easy. I’m going to be replacing my ball joints for the heck of it with new bolts. they arrive Friday, I have outer tie rods that I still need to install too
I mist be blind because nothing came off of anything
Bruh didn’t work
Tap with hammer slightly on the side, while on tension
