Hey guys, how's it going? Chris Connor here and welcome to another episode of filmmaker reacts for my channel. Seat back, relax and lets study the filmmaking techniques as well as talk about what visual effects can be pulled of within after effects! his week we are taking a look at valorant retake cinematic trailer!

Hi Chris! That new guy is Yoru, and he kinda has some fake steps to fool enemies and he can teleport, and the thing u saw him do with his hand is his ult, he can travel invulnerable and kinda invisible across the map for some seconds, reposition and ofc take some info :) Also, Phoenix does that animation of fire because he ulted. He basically has a second life, and when he's killed, he returns back where he was. The poison powers girl is Viper and the white hair girl is Jett. Love your videos, thank you for the content!

@@juanjosegranados6023 ye, he travels through the Rift (or some form of thin line between Reality and the Rift). If I understand it right the Rift is the place where your soul goes after you die. That's also where Sage brings people back from death. Furthermore I think when Omen (as a Human called Fred) died for some reason his body travelled to the rift and his soul stayed in the real world.
Also he used to be the worst agent :)
@@floriandiem1223 Rifts are more like "gates"/"holes" that you can travel between dimensions / alternative realities of your reality (Viper even have a voiceline towars Yoru, saying that he can freely travel through Rifts, and still choose their world to stay even if he probably can have multiple better options; Sova also says that he already have been traveling through Rifts before).
That's probably why you can have same agents in each team, which are the same person but from another reality, and they are aware of each others' existence. And the conflict goes about stealing energy from paralel world to yours (like stealing electricity or wifi from your neighbour but you are your own neighbour from another dimension and you steal radianite not electricity or wifi 🤔).
At least that's the most popular theory that I know of.

He is Yoru his abilities support the idea of "all reality and dimensions exist with eachother, and he is travel through dimensions
Hey Chris! A small detail that you missed that I think you'll enjoy is the finger twitch from Jett at 19:02 as an indication that she isn't quite dead yet. Just a small detail in a masterpiece of a cinematic. Love your videos and keep it up!
oh what a detail, i've seen this cin a 100 times and never noticed. I also thought that Chris would describe that frame as some kind of forshadowing. All in all I love the enthusiasm

on 9:59 phoenix uses his ult to go into battle, and when he died, he will be revived back at his last spot where he activates his ult (just like in 19:31), and usually when he uses his ult, flames come out like we seen in 9:59

So the new main guy here is Yoru, and yeah he can pull himself through to that other dimension type thing, the green chick is Viper and shes got poison abilities, and you already know Jett and Phoenix. The sniper guy up top is Cypher but they didnt really show him off.

The last shot, yoru shot pheonix is a reference to the point that you can't friendly fire valorant I guess😂 or the fact that pheonix can respawn, the run it back or whatever the name of his ult id

Hello Chris. In this video you have missed a detail about yoru shooting jett through pheonix. In a frame or two, where jett is lying on the ground and the camera angle was at her hands. If you look closely, the index finger of jett slightly moved. If you want to see it for yourself, rewatch "Retake". Between 2:09 and 2:10. That's when you see yoru slightly looked back, then shot pheonix because he knows that jett is still alive.
You should react to the Warframe Prime Trailers. Specifically the Banshee, Valkyr, Vauban, and Nekros ones

I'm impressed you noticed that footsteps make no sense when he's invisible/traveling through another dimension. In the game, that's his ultimate ability: he can temporarily become invisible and invulnerable. In the game, he actually does not make footsteps while in his ult; the animators took some creative license to make a cooler scene.
This aged well. Now it works like that after the rework

the guy in blue is Yoru, he can travel through dimensions to sneak through enemy lines
Phoenix the flame guy
Jett the girl in blue that has wind powers
Viper the woman in green has toxic/poison
and Cypher the guy in white holding a sniper, he hacks through the enemies' to gain information
cypher doesn't hack people lmao he sets up cameras, tripwires, and etc. he just has a really long web of information in the lore

In describe, yoru can scratch an dimension to going to another dimension but he still in that world, so no one can see him, so for get out from that dimension he need to scratch again that animation can u see when he show up.

Yoru is cool as heck though. Its hard to backstab someone because that little portal thing has cooldown for taking out guns but still its sayisfying. It only works when someone is alone and you do 180 turn before using that thing to perfectly aim from behind of someone. His decoy ability is worthless so riot made a usefull decoy for trolling new players because higher rank players would never shot invisible yoru or decoy of invisible yoru. Also they add more stealth to his E and ultimate
