- This week on Speed Street we have one of the greatest Indycar driver's of all time, Scott Dixon, after an incredible Long Beach Grand Prix! We have a great chat about the way he saves fuel, the way his driving style might work best for fuel saving. A lot happened over the weekend and we get into all of it! Scott Dixon rocks! He was on the Spike's Car Radio podcast before the race, and now I get to hear him on your podcast. I always root for the veteran drivers, since I'm 42.

People need an emotional connection to keep them watching week to week. People have that connection to the event because the live race is awesome.
Indycar hasn't QUITE gotten the emotional piece in place to the same level other series have.

The break between St Pete and Long Besch is ridiculous. Imagine the first NFL game happening, then taking 4 weeks off before game 2.

I typically can’t watch live so I watch the replay on peacock later in the day I am wondering what those numbers are.
I have taken a ton of people to their first Indycar race (probably not as many as Conor). Most have become life long fans but some are 500 only. No rookies yet this year but I have 6 tickets yet to be claimed.
Were I in a position to take advantage of one of those tickets...
But, not so lucky.

Extraordinary performance was just found to be illegally enabled at Team Penske, and appropriately penalized. I sure hope IndyCar is combing through Scott Dixon's data to make sure this "unbelievable" performance isn't extraordinarily enabled also.
Rest assured, they are hard at work!
The post race tech process is honestly pretty deep, this is the reason why so many people are like blown away by this penalty. It’s because we have so few like this. So I do not at all think this is a regular occurrence
