Because they want you to be stupid. If people don't take care of their mouth they pay huge prices to fix the problems of cavities and gum disease and if they don't learn about investments they don't make as much money. The rich want to make the poor even poorer. It's the greed that exists in our world right now. People care only about money and once they make a lot of money they want more.

    • @user-mf7pc2mi1o

Of course they don't teach you this in school. Also what they don't teach is taxes, investments, dealing with depression, rejection etc. The reason is that the rich want you to pay a lot of money for not taking care of yourself. The rich want more money and in the process they want to keep the poor ever poorer. Everything including not learning about dental health is all a scheme emerging from greed.

You've helped me so much Whitney. I receive gingivitis cleanings every 3 months. Today was my latest cleaning. I had almost zero tarter. YAY! No scraping and scraping. I learned how to properly floss by watching your channel.
I received an A+ at the dentist today!
    HONK!
Yes I'm honking my own horn.
I heard the man in the next room complaining when they said they were going to take his blood pressure. He said this is why I hate coming here.
I looked at my hygienist and said I like coming here, it's like visiting friends.
    OK, so I'm weird.
But seriously, thank you. I've learned so much from your videos. 🤗

This is true. In school, I just vaguely remember them bringing out the mouth with teeth prop every blue moon. I don't remember much aside from that. Then, brushing teeth wasn't strongly enforced in my household. I didn't pick up certain things until I was older. This is why it's good that these channels exist! I wish there was a youtube when I was growing up.

Excellent video, and if they taught kindergarden age kids to brush and floss, after eating anything, even holloween candy, then dentists would be hard pressed for new patients.😂🎉

Hi! Here’s a dentist that provides free online consults for individual dental questions. Hope this helps: mydentaladvocate.com/ref/3/
As far as the braces question -- yes. Braces help align the teeth, this removing gaps between the teeth. Hope this helps: th-cam.com/video/WS-kHvFS548/w-d-xo.html

Brushing twice a day? I was told to brush everytime you have food.
I normally have breakfast, lunch and dinner and one or two small snacks in between those, and we were told to brush after every food intake.
    It's that incorrect?

    • @TeethTalk
      @TeethTalk  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

brush at least twice a day! and after every meal is even better :) the "at least" is key :)

Hello! I need your help. I'm a single (only living) parent. I'm 50 and my son is at college so I'm wanting to reinvent myself as a dental hygenist (I'm a man). I work full-time 8 to 4 pm. The only way I can see making this work is online. But then there's clinical and office practice...I had thought maybe I can do the classes online then if I have to quit at the end I could do that when I need to go in. I hope I'm able to do this as I still need my full-time job to pay bills, eat have insurance etc. Please let me know if this can be done. Now that I've decided on hygenist as a career I want it badly. Thank you for any help.

Hi! Dental hygiene schools in USA don't offer online unless you are already a registered dental hygienist and continuing your education (getting a bachelor's, master's, etc). but for the initial degree -- here is some more information: bit.ly/rdh-video-checklist hope this helps!
