- Today we are taking a look at Kickers new subwoofer enclosure the TRTP Down-Firing Sub,
Finding space for a subwoofer is a constant struggle. Most traditional subwoofer enclosures take up a lot of cargo room. Kicker's solution, turn the sub down. The enclosure features a CompRT subwoofer, availabel in 8", 10" and 12" sizes, and passive reFLEX radiator, faced downward with space underneath for the bass to escape.
With the 10" version standing less than 6" tall, the TRTP can fit where traditional subs can't. The enclosure was built to handle a large amount of stackable weight, so it can act as a shelf in your trunk or cargo area.

Installed 10 downfire and amp in my Sierra. IT IS AWESOME. Under the back seat. 500 watt amp. The comp is a classic. Just got 2 10’s for my sons MC SS. He is gonna love it.
I just purchased their 10" hideaway. I'm hoping it's enough for my taste but if not I'll replace it with one of these.
Which amplifier is used for this sudwoofer?
Would it sound ok in a single cab S10 firing into the back wall of the cab behind the seat?

Maaaaan this is just what the doctor ordered! I've been scratching my head on finding a low profile woofer box to put in my 2005 Trailblazer & it should fall in line with the four Rockford Fosgate 6.5 doors speakers I just put in! And the 5 channel Rockford Fosgate T1000X5ad will handle them and the Kenwood Double din will run the two 3.5 Fosgate dash speakers! I just want a balanced system that plays my funk jazz nicely & I don't have to sleep with one eye open worried about some turd looking in my ride and doing $5000.00 worth of damage for $1500.00 (if that much) worth of sh-t yanno?👍🏾
I was also looking at this for my 2003 trailblazer lol, Just like you I was looking for something that wouldn't take away all the cargo space. I just installed 4 6.5" component speakers, and I want to expand that to 6, I want to add another pair for the third row. Did you buy this and how has it held up for you?
Hello, I just purchased the kicker sealed downfiring 12 inch sub with the passive radiator although im not sure it's the right choice for me. I was looking at dual 10 inch kicker comp c ported. Which one would you recommend?

NICE, I got mines in my SUV but with face down is rattles my subfloor. I put it up standing and it sounds a bit better but won’t wake the neighbors. I am getting use to it but I feel like I am going to replace with a Rockford Fosgate P3 single enclosure subwoofer that may sound better because of more Air.
You just need some dynamat. I have the TRTP122 in the back of my Jeep Compass and dynamat has stopped all the rattling in my suv

What are the dimensions?
For the 10" version like the one shown in the video its 5 5/8" tall, 25 5/8" wide, and 13 1/4" deep.
Background music is too loud... it’s difficult to understand the speaking in the video.
These things are compact and loud, but the sound quality is horrible. The lower frequencies are absolute mud. These boxes are great for bass on a budget, but if you have the money, save it for something better.
