9000 miles and going strong. Put a lithium battery in after the Trojan’s died. Worth every penny. Lightweight and great acceleration in addition to fast charging and no battery fatigue. 👍🏽
Hey man great video! I have the 160 Roy pow. Have it for about a month now. My cert died on my this past weekend. I have a I60L. My cart was fully loaded with all the lights on and I just got the new Exogear sub woofer. I also got my cart programmed so I increased my acceleration and topped out my speed. I can hit 34 mph. Have you had any trouble since your first shut down? We were running through a slight hill and in grass when the cart shut down. I am trying to figure out what to do to prevent the shutdown again. Thanks
Thanks Cameron, I appreciate you watching the video. I haven’t had any issues since the day I pulled that trailer and had it fully loaded. But now whenever I have the cart fully loaded (no trailer because I rarely use it), I just go into my Navitas controller app settings and turn the top speed of 38 down to a lower value in the rpm settings in the app. But I’m not saying you should go and get a Navitas controller, just saying it helps me with peace of mind and I should have turned it down before the day I had the shutdown but wasn’t thinking about it. With all of that said, if you don’t want to worry about shutdowns based on the scenario you gave me from your last shut down, I wouldn’t turn so many lights on or play the music too loud if I was fully loaded and going up a hill. I also would not push deep into to the accelerator pedal during those moments because that’s when it will just turn off on you if that makes sense. Just take it nice and easy is the best I can say until your past the incline. I’m sure this isn’t the best answer but I’m just trying to help you is all.. Your battery should be just fine just like mine has unless you are constantly using it in the environment you mentioned and are pushing it hard with everything turned up! Hope that info helps you prevent a future shutdown!
Had a quick question sir, just bought a 22 Advance EV cart. Did the lithium upgrade from the start and so far I’m loving it. 22mph seems like what the cart is governed to. Wanted to see what you’d recommend in bumping that up and also would you happen to know if icon headlight would fit it? I love the way the icon headlights look and would love to switch them out. Thank you
So as far as the lights go, I can’t say I’m certain, but I personally believe that the lights are different in size and the Icon lights probably won’t work but I could be wrong! So I’m glad to hear you got lithium for your cart, that’s awesome! To get more speed you’re gonna need one of the newer cables and software for the 2022 carts. My cart is a 21 so I don’t have the cable for the 22. However, there is a Facebook group called Icon golf cart owners - present and future that you should join. Many people like myself contribute to this page. I’ve never used his stuff, but I believe a guy going by the name of gnarly Matt in this group seems to know what he’s doing and is helping people with this stuff by selling them the cable, etc. if you’d like to give me your Facebook name, I can just invite you to the group, or you can just try to join it and I’m sure you’ll get approved, but it might take a little while to get approval if I don’t invite you directly. On that Facebook page you’ll get all kinds of help just by doing a search within that group, so you should be good. But just let me know if you need anything further. Thanks for watching the videos.
Great video. We're in the market for our first Golf/EV. Could you please tell me the difference between Icon and AdvancedEV? We have a (refundable) deposit down on an Icon i40. TIA
Appreciate all your videos! Can you tell me where you got the long 12v cigarette lighter cord? I've been looking for it but have not been able to find it!
Glad the videos have been helpful. Thanks! For the cord you’re talking about, mine came in a set of LED lights I bought for the house a few years ago and so I was just fortunate to have it laying around. But this link should take you to one very similar but actually probably better than mine because it lights up when you have the switch turned to “ON”. Hope that’s what you’re looking for. amzn.to/3iPfWE9
Royal EV is not related to the manufacturer of Icon EV and Advanced EV. However I have seen them come up as a golf cart that is similarly in features. But with all of that said, there is an Icon forum I am in and this topic was asked about recently. The person wanted to know if Royal EV makes a quality cart. Then a few Icon dealers chimed in and said they tried Royal and thought the quality wasn’t as good as Icon. Maybe they had a bad experience or maybe they just really prefer Icons. They also said that getting warranty work done with Royal EV was kind of difficult. Some could say the same about Icon EV as well in regards to warranty so that really shouldn’t matter. If the cart is a good cart like Icons are, you typically don’t need any warranty work anyhow. So since I’ve never owned a Royal that’s about all I can share with you unfortunately. As I’ve said already, my guess is that Royal is very similar to Icon and Advanced. You’ll probably be ok but my best suggestion is to buy from a dealer that you know will support you when needed if something unlikely happens.
Yes they are pretty much the same except for some minor styling differences. Basically the same core of the carts are being shipped over to 2 different U.S. plants where each of these 2 brands assembles them and gives each cart the ICON badge or the ADVANCED EV badge respectively. Maybe some very small part differences found I’m sure, but for the most part ICON and ADVANCED EV are the same.

So if the BMS trips, the only way to get it to roll manually out of the street is by using a wrench and taking the power wire off the red terminal?
Where did you get the LED lights for the under glow man there fire!?
I’m sorry I missed your comment until now. Sorry for the delay. Here is a link and thanks for watching! amzn.to/3LHqGEk
Great video and the cart looks awesome 👏
What is the make and model of this cart? I’m newly interested in these and trying to learn about them. Thanks!

Did you change your motor or just added the navitas control with on the fly control?
Just the Navitas with the on the fly..But lithium is also a big reason for the performance.

PS. Looks like they're two separate companies? No? Asking because to the title of this video. Thank you!

Are these the same as the Royal EV C6L. I'm purchasing one this upcoming weekend and don't know to much about it. Any help would be appreciated
