And of course, true musicianship!😁
P.S. : And for those idiots who do not understand my comments : No, I'm not complaining about Portnoy leaving DT and certainly not talking trash about Mangini! All I'm saying is I'm sick and tired about people comparing MP and MM, even after so many years! If you can't understand such a simple comment, then go take a brain dump, cause it's of no use to you!
@@asheshinfinite3766 To be fair, it was the "DT has found its soul back" comment that gives the impression you're part of the crowd begging for DT to ditch Mangini. It's a simple comment with a different interpretation to what you claim you were trying to say.
it feels like the old days when he was covering their songs in DT
Since they were his own parts, technically he did not cover them. Otherwise I agree.
Watching you play is like therapy. Thank you.
always a joy to watch mike portnoy play complex rhythm drumming-he's made for this no one does it better
What an oportunity, to see a master doing his thing in detail, please tour in Mexico as soon as you can guys i will be there supporting!
Sublime Mike....Que musicalidad🔥 Cada día tocás mejor. Amor eterno 🥁🙏
Thank suport for deden Noy from indonesian drumer 🥁🙏
Portnoy's creativity is really unique and genuine. One can really discover and feel several things when he plays drums. There's life, good vibe, nice rush, excitement, soul, melody, energy, trance with his playing. his talent really stems from the soul. One of the greatest drummers. Respect.
Mike fills can be repetitive sometimes but he is such a wonderful crafted drummer and composer! Always fun to watch and listen to. One of the GOAT for sure!
Hell yeah!!! Love the sound of the coated heads too. There are many things that make Mike a great player but one of the things I respect him for the most? Never uses fucking triggers!!
🤘💯🤘
My GOD dude, you are so all over that kit; you must have the arms of Atlas for all that endurance.
BEST DRUMMER EVER DREAM THEATER HAD!! I quit listening to dream theater..there seriously not the same no more..."Mike portnoy is so incredibly bad ass"!! His feel and playing abilities are beyond incredible!! Mike mangenie is good...but Portnoy owns his any day!! Mike portnoy has more feel & SOUL!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎
It is so inspiring Mike Portnoy to see you play!!! Makes me want to be a better drummer and play more and more each day!!!
Portnoy on one side, and Neil Peart on the other. Two best drummers ever.
💯%
Terry Bozzio is at a step beyond ! 😊
Magnificent as always, like Portnoy knows to do it. 🤘🏼
Daqui a pouco tá cheio de Br comentando aqui.
🇧🇷🤘🏼❤️🔥
Br?
É como um comentário que vi outro dia em inglês inclusive:
"Mike Mangini é o baterista do Dream Theater, Mike Portnoy é a alma do Dream Theater."
Por onde esse cara passa é diferente.
Olha o Sons of Apollo.. melhor que muita coisa que tem por aí inclusive o trabalho é mais brilhante que os últimos álbuns do DT..

Octobans com os símbolos do Dream Theater...
You are the epitome of class, I am humbled by the honor and respect you gave to Mr. Neil Peart, and Rush. I only speak for my self when I say, You, are a Master in Drumming, and a Master in Life!
I really like your natural drum sounds on this song Mike. I mean the kit and cymbals sounds almost as if it they were sitting on the Guitar Center floor. So clear, resonant, and drum sounding!
As the years go by, so many of my favorite musicians and inspirations have passed away. Petty. Prince. Eddie. Neil... The ONE wish I have is to see Portnoy rejoin DT. I take nothing away from Mangini, he is a fantastic drummer. He is just not DT to me. He is and always will be a replacement player, and DT just isn't DT without Portnoy. That said I am so excited about this new LTE record! What a fantastic thing to have these guys together again!
I'll tell ya. It's weird that I honestly like both drummers contribution to the band.
And further, I'm sort of aiming to take my favorite elements from both of them and incorporate it into what I do.
Great drummers!
The most DT music I hear in 10 years. Can we pretend the past decade never happened and get Portnoy back?
No
Thanks but no.
HE'S BACK, LET'S GO!!!
@@yomikemun649bye Mangini
NO F WAY!!!!
I really like the fact that this video shows different takes pieced together. Live and in the studio are not the same animal.
Happy Birthday to the best drummer of this generation.
4/20/23!!!
4:22 hey, who took my crash from here?
Mike, eu sou baterista, e vc é minha inspiração 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Esse cara é mito
I realy love this guy! As a drummer, composer, music taste wise and as a human being! The world needs people lile this, to make this life meaningful. Mike Portnoy, my hero, my idol! With musicians like this, Rock and Metal will never die. Up the Irons!!!
Man.. just never get tired of hearing your magical drumming
Reminds me of a combination of a medium-heavy Dream Theater song I can't quite put my finger on and Biaxident (especially 2:01-3:24). Ultimately it feels familiar yet fresh. Can't wait to hear the rest of the new songs, and it brings me a lot of joy to see you collaborating with these guys again to create great new music on this third album!
Primer paso del regreso: logrado.
La vuelta a DT: en proceso.
*angry and out of tune Labrie noises*
The amount of times I would’ve hit myself trying to do all the moving around the kit that he’s doing😂😂
He makes it look so effortless. True brilliance in his work as always.
Welcome back! The great! The master! The monster of drums to your SEAT! “Be patient and you will see” (king diamond) we miss you a lot!
