I appreciate that and the support! I figured it’s high time TH-cam dials back the over-produced, characters on some videos and just relate to people. More to come!
Ok Bro, you're getting shifty on me...what happened to the Racer X short shifter? Did it go on Craigslist? LOL!! I thought that one would have been nice and smooth with the spherical bearings. Now why would Forged have an adjustment for shortness if it is going to rub? Seems like they should/could have fixed that since the setting is offered. Thanks again for another excellent video, and never mind the the camera angles, sweat drops etc. you're doing an awesome job on informing the diyer! Mahalo!
Haha! The RacerX and Billetworkz are currently installed, the Forge SS was sold awhile back, but the reason behind the adjustment rubbing I believe is do to some slight differences in how the GR Yaris linkage is and the GR Corolla. Forge first produced this SS for the GR Yaris.
I installed mine and went with the middle position. it seems like yours and the other videos seem to get the short and long throws opposite. Otherwise great video
Quick question, I’ve been asked what another position feels like, but I haven’t been motivated enough to change it… in the middle position how are your throws? I originally wanted to go fully short but remembered hearing others binding against the shifter arm at the shortest setting. May not actually be true in hindsight, but at the time it was my reasoning.
@@CarQuicks With the mid position it was nice and nothcy though I was worried I could miss a downshift if I did the track day or wasn't paying attention. I also wanted to see what they meant by trimming the plastic so it wouldn't bind up. I installed this with the racerx bushings and even though there there was a fear of loosing some of the little spacers it installed like normal. Nemtech Racing posted a video a few days ago about how he broke the plastic bushing mount. Now he did cut it to so it would't rub instead of dremel little bit at a time and was throwing the car around but It's seems like most people who have installed this on their Corolla/Yaris have been fine.
This man’s videos are truly the best! Quality content, quality personality, love it man keep it up!
Really appreciate this! I’m definitely not stopping, this has been a long running idea for years now. Glad to see you’re enjoying the content!
I’m fascinated watching these down home productions on GR Corolla-mod goodies! Keep’m coming and stay reckless! Hope to be driving one soon.

@@diallo1347 yessir! Checking out a prospect
Speeding up the synchros, especially in the lower gears would be welcome...
I feel some of the “laziness” is computer controlled throttle. Maybe a combination with synchros as the 3-5 gear feel great to me.
