I know several men who were still paying for child support in their 50s. My daughter is 13 her father is in arrears and he has 6 other children. Some of the older children have fallen off but I'm sure he still owes. My daughter is the 4th oldest. He likes being self employed meaning he's responsible to go and pay the support which he picks and chooses when he wants to do that. Only time he paid it down was when it was over 10,000 and considered a felony and they revoked your driver license 😂
Having a baby isn't the same for men and women...women instantly become mothers, while fathers see this baby as an option, or maybe even an anchor, anchoring them to this one woman. Pregnancy hormones may help women with this huge transition...but boys/men don't have any biological "help" becoming a father.

I actually think this is one of the better episodes. It really shows how fussy babies are. Going through it alone is heartbreaking and so difficult. I feel like she’s more honest about her regrets than most episodes. I remember being 16 and thinking a baby would fix things and make my boyfriend stay. An episode like this would have been helpful. I’m so glad I didn’t have to go down that road.

I had a c section with my daughter. The car ride home was the worst part! You definitely feel every bump. I couldn’t take the pain I cried and asked my husband to drive slower but thats hard to do on the interstate 🙃

I watched these kinds of shows when I was having babies in my 20s...my girls were born in 2097, 2008, 2009, and my only boy in 2012. Those girls are now teenagers, and they were ALL put on birth control around 9th/10th grade...just in case. Because teens don't usually talk about these things with their moms, we have to make sure that WE are protecting their future plans and goals (during a time when their brains are completely overwhelmed with hormones,) and they have what they need to protect them BEFORE they actually need it. It kinda reminds me of baby-proofing a house for a toddler...you have to protect them from their environment, and any potential bad choices, because their brain development just isn't there yet.

My best advice for new moms...if you've done everything you can think of to take care of baby's needs, and they are still crying for no apparent reason...SUGAR BINKIES! Just dip their pacifier in solution of warm water with a little bit of sugar mixed in. Nurses do it all the time, just to get the baby to be quiet during procedures/tests/innocculations.
