Defendant chooses her boyfriend over her two children 13 and 8 years old. The kids have not seen their mom in six months because mom is over there loving and spending time on boyfriend. Never ever choose a man or a woman over your kids.

When faced with the choice, most women choose the boyfriend. These women won't admit it but they really only care for their kids when the kids are babies. Once they've outgrown the baby phase, mom typically checks out.

@@HellishSoulchild protective services. They are not fabulous but in this case kids would be moved to a foster home. I have two friends who do foster care and they are good people. You hear a lot of claims about children being taken without cause but I’ve never seen Ken yet that was not more than justified. They spend years giving the birth parents a chance to get their kids back. My one friends foster son was finally terminated parental rights ans able to be placed for adoption. He was taken at age 2 because his mom was leaving him alone while she went to work. There’s more though. Mom was a drug addict. She could not seem to stay clean. They were still doing visitation every week and then she started cancelling. She quit seeing him. It was so sad. After four more months (after two years of foster care) the judge finally couldn’t give her anymore chances. She didn’t even come to the hearing to protest. Good friends of their family want very badly to adopt him. In fact the case worker was dragging things out and they paid a lawyer to sue the state on the child’s behalf. He is placed with his permanent home now and still gets to see his foster parents and foster siblings twice a week.

I guess at least they didn’t leave their kids with a stranger.

A perfect marriage or relationship is an illusion; there's no universal playbook for making them work. What's effective for one couple may not apply to another. Nevertheless, I've come to understand that there's always a solution to be found. Half a decade ago, my wife and I faced such trials in our marriage that divorce seemed inevitable. Yet, through perseverance and determination, we navigated through the rough waters and emerged stronger, reunited, and more resilient...

I don't know what the law is in the US. However, I've worked in day care in two countries/continents. I'm a mandatory reporter. If a parent doesn't show up to pick up I'm calling the cops after an hour. The equivalent of CPS would be involved immediately. I believe the child care provider is also in the wrong for not blowing the whistle much sooner.
