There's an undercurrent of strained family relationships that runs through the episode. When I first saw this years ago, I always thought it was strange how, with the exception of that brief clip in the intro, we never hear from Danielle's grandmother, not even to check in on the baby. Casey, Danielle's mom, said that she grew up without any supervision and tried hard to course correct; she obviously want to fix this generational tension between mothers and daughters, only for the cycle to continue. Danielle doesn't talk about her dad, and Casey doesn't mention hers, either. I wonder if the grandmother was a young or a teen mom as well. Danielle was so standoffish with her mom and unwilling to accept her normal, motherly help even though Casey wanted the best for her. Even with Jamie, there's no mention of his mother at all, and he and his father's relationship is more like that of siblings or roommates versus father and son. I also thought it was strange how he dropped out of high school and his father didn't see it as such a big deal, or encourage him to at least get his G.E.D.
I got pregnant in my senior year of high school. What makes me sad when I look back on myself (31 years later) is that I had no other aspirations for myself. I didn't have bigger dreams for myself.

I was pregnant at 18 an i wasnt ready to have a baby. Them being 16 theres no eay there ready to have a baby. Her mom is right everything will change once she has the baby. I guarantee you (watching other videos of 16 & preggo) he will abandon the baby an more than likely not help with baby. She needs to stay at her moms an not with the daddy. She will soon realize that she is in over her head. My mama was just like her mama. My mama was there for me an even tho it took me 2mnth to finally ask for help as i told her i had this baby its my responsibility to care for him. My mama said its different if your asking for help. I eas very stubborn about anyone helping me aas i said i had him, i take care of him. My son an my mama had a very close bond as she delivered him an also delivered my 2nd son.

This girl just seems like she doesn't give a f about anything to be honest.
I find it so sad and so disappointing that we realise how much we need our mums the older we get. At 16 we think we need to do it alone, at 30 we know it takes a village
HiM is so precious ❤❤❤❤
It really disturbs me that the mother got pregnant as a teen and then her daughter goes with her grandmother and yet another generation gets pregnant as a teen. You have to be careful with family sometimes...
I agree with her mom
Babies dont breath before birth. Something else obviously made them do what they did to have the baby delivered so quickly.
You never heard of merconium?
Did she ever graduate if she had another baby 2 yrs after her first? They said 3 to 4 yrs to graduate. I hope she did.
What a beautiful baby!
Why dont these girls give the babies up for adoption it's a win win situation she only 16
Because that’s traumatic ?? Some people want to raise their baby
I never stuck with a boyfriend in high school. I put my academics first & graduated with high honors! Never went to parties either! Only family parties.
Even in 2010 it was way more than $300/400 I’m assuming that’s with some benefits?!
Like I know that crazy these people aren’t smart
So danielle's boyfriend moves her into his dad's place then ditches every chance he gets to go with his friends while she is stuck alone without her friends or her mum for help
She seemed miserable watching her baby! *Ithink she WANTED him in daycare* 😢
R.I.P Jamie 🙏🏼
19:46 what on earth! He’s bigger than I was when I was born! I was a few weeks premature but no need for PNICU. I was 5.5 lbs!
Thank the Lord the baby is okay ❤
These two children should not raise a child. I say they should've thought harder about the two a words, abortion or adoption.
i feel bad for her mom lowkey
$150 a wk pay??. No way they can afford to live independently
this was 13 years ago
16 in 9 th grade smh
Right.. GED time I guess 🫤
@@14elvira14 that's what I was thinking
Smh she should go back to her mom's over there she everything she needs .... this is a prime example that she is still a child 🙄
Her mom was on a guilt trip lady that’s your kid you don’t give up your kid especially to your parent that you know failed you.Literally made zero sense.
We don’t even spend 3-400 dollars a month on our baby and he still has everything he needs and more
Muddy pants 😂😂😂
I love these videos ❤❤
I like her episode
What year is this ?
I think 2010
I wonder how Danielle is doing now?
Danielle u take care of your kid don’t complain
why do they think a baby will help relationships
What a disaster!
