Glorious just KILLED their GOAT Stabilizers - GSv2 Preview

- About a year ago, Glorious released their GMMK Pro along with a bunch of add on keyboard components. One of which was their GOAT Stabilizers, to which the community lashed out at.
Glorious, being the kind of company that you'd want to take home to your mother, has heard the community and is releasing these, a new, better version of the stabilizers along with dropping the name. These are a pre-retail copy so I wanted to get a video out with my thoughts, and I may end up doing a deep dive when they are released.

Only video on the GSV2 stabs, thanks for the info. That tolerance fix seems like it will make a significant difference from the goat stabs. I'll be picking some up!
You're welcome! And yeah, its pretty crazy how great they are. I'm assuming/hoping that these will be stock in AT LEAST the GMMK Pro going forward, but time will tell. I know their release was setup pretty quick so we'll see.
How do these compare to Durock v2 stabs?
I prefer these now. They have this little guide within the stem that prevents rattle even more than the durocks, so they need minimal tuning. Like I barely touched these things and they are still going strong. As mentioned I had planned on trying these out, then putting my durocks back in- and I still haven't taken the GSv2s out of my board.
The GOAT stabs are so bad, improving them was a pretty low bar.
Your board sounds great! I just got the email about GSv2's being in stock, ordered them immediately for my GMMK 2 96%...can't wait!

I bought a set-- Stabs are stabs. If these are Durock quality for half the price it's a win for Glorious.
They're pretty darn close if you ask me. Original GOAT stabs were a little meh, but these have been great so far.
What switches are you using on this sound test?
Swore I wrote it in there, my fault XD I'm using Alpaca Linears w/ the polycarbonate plate.

Glorious learned from their mistakes. 1 year after the most hated stab in the custom keyboard community, they actually make a good one
I'd say the most HATED stab would go to whatever joke (Mass)Drop used in their initial run of the CTRL. Imagine paying GMMK prices and getting a set of zero-effort rattle-trash that you'd even struggle to find on a $22 mechanical from Amazon. Just insultingly horrid for the money. Like, _at least_ Glorious tried hahaha

will this work in my mk870
have u bought them? i was wondering as well since im planning to build a mk870 with these stabs. tho im gonna replace the plate with PC plate.
@@Sasuke27AQW just got it and they work very well. I suggest you pick up 3 if u can with the gmmk pro owner discount. They are nicer than mk870 stock stabs and nicer than everglide everglides.
Glorious is good but the whole stealing designs is messed up they are to big and important to the community to pull bs like that
They just literally paid a factory that makes stabs in their standards so its not the same.i suppose. Looks different than c3 stabs
