@@quads4407 look up the definition of "objective" please, just because you agree with the circlejerk it doesn't mean it's the actual truth. G502 is popular for a reason
to be completely honest, if you're comfortable enough with wired. Sensors nowadays are all very very good and the 4k and 8k implementations hardly have any impact besides 360hz monitors, especially in games where static clicking is the most common. Ended up time and time just going back to the xm1r, premium build and the best coating by far.
Xm1r is an incredible mouse. I paid like 50€ for it and its performance is amazing and zero flaws. Not like my RV2P which has the dreaded scroll wheel issues
I like the button layout of G502 and Im using swiftpoint Z now. I know it is too heavy for competitive gaming ,but hey ,these buttons really helps me out in various games and daily uses.
I was the type of guy that was changing his mouse every year because he got bored of it. Until... I found G502 X Plus. Man that's a beauty. The buttons, the design of the white version, the fast scrolling-wheel button, the RGB. The only thing that I would like to see in a new version is that exact mouse but being lighter. I bought my second one now because the old one started having rarely buggy wheel (had it for an year and a half, but man you can't expect new mice to live more than that).
Had a wired G502 for 7 years and just upgraded to the light speed version (My Corsair keyboard crapped out so replaced both). I didn't bother with the x or x Plus but I love it so much, plus I really need the extra buttons for gaming and I"ve not found a more comfortable mouse...
Shape really is the most important part of a mouse. The old MX500 - MX515 - MX518 and MX518 Legend fit my hand so *_perfectly_* .. and now they don't make them anymore. I am gnashing my teeth in such hopelessness and despair, that I might just buy a G502 !!
Yep, had a Teknet M009 mice which fit my hand like a glove. Fell for the hype and bought a G502 and the shape is terrible, there's no pinky rest so it doesn't fit right in my palm grip of my wide hand. Just ordered a Redragon M908, hopefully that is as comfy as it looks
Bro, why is everyone hating on G502. I have the HERO model since 2019 and it's amazing. The build quality is good, it's sturdy, the buttons are working perfectly (all the 11), the software is also pretty great, and I also like the looks of it. It's also the most popular mouse as far as I know.
It’s big, heavy, and has a silly shape. It’s got a good price point but there’s so many other (better) mice with similar pricepoints. If you enjoy using it more power to you. It’s a fine mouse. It’s just an easy punching bag because it’s an extremely popular mouse and there’s better products that aren’t nearly as gaudy.
It comes down to Lightweight mice like the the G305 or the Razer Cobra/Viper Mini which are Objectivley better for gaming from a competitive standpoint being much cheaper. The G502 is pretty dated for gaming compared to modern standards, so while it's an amazing mouse, it's not a good gaming mouse.
One thing on the wireless mouse tip you mentioned the only issue you will have now is to remember to charge the battery, not true in my case and I can imagine others as well. I had a Ninjutso Sora 4k. Because these mice still use 2.4ghz, (should be switching to something different at this point.) You can have a potential issue if your using wifi bands on the same frequency. I have wifi 6e on one pc in my office and another hard wired. If al ot of data or traffic is passed through that band my wireless mice are practically worthless as they lag, skip and just flat out make for an unusable experience. Also tested this with a wireless Pulsar mouse, same issue. As soon as I plugged them into their cables, issue gone. I do have my router close by the mouse receiver as my current setup leaves me no choice but to put the eeros 6 pro on the computer desk with the 4k dongle close by. Perhaps proximity is the issue nonetheless its an issue with wireless.
a lot of people who want heavier mice think they want those mice because of the friction; to this I say you should swap your mousepad. lighter is always better, not because of friction necessarily, but because of inertia, which will always, always, work against your movements. there is not a single case in which inertia will help you control your mouse.
There are a few topics i would like you to add to the decision to getting a good mouse. Quality Software, compatable features linked with other peripherals like the keyboard, in other words the ecosystem. Alternative buttons like multiple mouse wheels, button layouts and scroll wheel buttons. Programmability and customization. Design asthetic. And replacement stategy.
Just had this pop up after I got the g502 hero because it was on sale xD I mostly play emulator and slow paced games so having a slightly heavier mouse with a higher dpi really made a difference for me. Thanks for the vid though! I've been so busy thinking about the pc and it's components I never thought about my mouse/keyboard. Recently got a mechanical keyboard from a thrift shop and I can't go back now xD
One big downside to wireless mice is if you live in a house with a microwave that puts out enough interference to cause connection issues at 15feet. Just because you are outside that range doesn't mean that your mouse wont lag while its running. I wish I could replace that thing but I don't own it and its "still working" so I cant convince them to get rid of it for something better.
@@13_faces I'm very curious about what it is specifically about the G502 that also doesn't apply to *all* Logitech mice? I had a G903 for a week and had to return it because it double clicked. Others have had that with brand new G Pro Wireless and it usually always happens after 1-2 years especially with Logi mice.
I've owned the Logitech G402 since 2019 and absolutely love it, especially for its extra button. However, the double-click issue has become a nightmare. After three years, it started having double-click problems, and now it's so bad that I can't even close a single tab in Chrome or use a DMR in games. Despite the good five-year service time, I'm considering replacing it. I'm looking at the Logitech G502 X wired, but I'm not confident in this decision. I'd like to try a Razer mouse instead, but I'm unsure which one to pick.
average g502 enjoyer here. 7 years and still running. replace the mice feet and keep rolling. I might need some grip tape soon because the buttons are getting shiny and slick. I may pick up a g502x... I really like and use the extra buttons in every game I play.
Still rocking my G703 for around 5 years. Tried many other, but none gives me the comfort of it. So I continue to speak my Logitech Prayers to make a G703 superlight. Maybe I will see this happen before I die ^^
I've been using G502 since it was first released, although I only use it for non-competitive games. So anywhere from casual games, rts, etc. I have a separate mouse for games pvp games like valorant, apex, etc.
There is only one point in high sensitivity (and don't forget about the response speed, at least the G502 setting). Take a brick, set it to 6000 Hz or 3600, and make minimal movements to move. And I also don't recommend the G502 (optical switches won't help if dust continues to clog the sensor)
I really don't understand the targeted hate on the G502. Anything bad about it could be said about all Logitech mice. But their latest have optical switches so the double click plague is probably over now. My current daily is a G502 Lightspeed and it's great, once you get used to hyperscroll I can't live without it. My receiver is plugged in directly and I get zero interference. The switches did start double clicking after 18 months but I replaced them with Kailh GM 2.0 Teals. I have esports Tiger ICE feet and BT.L grips. Sure, it's not the lightest mouse but it doesn't bother me at all. The only issue now is, and this applies to all mice, I am getting RSI from forearm pronation. So I'll be looking at modding the mouse to be more vertical with a 3D printer. Either replacing the bottom case or a wedge insert. Unless a decent vertical mouse comes with Hyperscroll. G Hub on the other hand is a flaming pile of rotten garbage and I'd LOVE to be rid of it ASAP! Same for pretty much all control software.
I use the new auto-pilot AI mouse and mat. So, when you want to relax it auto moves and clicks in FPS games etc. Also, in Rocket league watching it move with a powered magnet surface to get into Champ 3 in 1s by doing perfect aerials was impressive. Eitherway, you can tone up or done the amount of assistance for any game. I am now trying the electrode edition. Which connects to the back of your skull to the pad. So, when you think and hold the mouse it does what you want to happen. Pretty amazing
I've tried over 15 different mice shapes until I found shap that doesn't cause major issues with comfort and control but now I know almost exactly what I want from a mouse shape and by just looking at renders and dimensions I can tell if mouse can be ok or I should avoid it.
I got G Pro Hero for over 5 years no issues, it has been discontinued Trying out G Pro Wireless but I will be connected. Hopefully the tradition continues.
didn't hear any valid reasons or recommendations against the 502 so I bought a 502, seems like a fine mouse so far, only complaint is the scroll wheel and I got used to it fast
Omg thank you for posting this I’m returning my g502 after two years this video made me realize how bad It is with all the evidence submitted I’m over it. :)
should i upgrade from a glorious model D wired?, i bought it in 2022 and i have been using it ever since but i kinda wanted a wireless one but it seems the Glorious mice have been kinda poor quality since then, most of the time arriving with faulty parts from what i've seen so i kinda wanted to switch brands. i've been considering the Gpro 2 but im a bit afraid to buy it since the shape's symmetrical while the D i have is an ergonomical, and before the D i had a razer deathadder v2 which was also ergonomic. edit: also i wanted to note im mainly a OSU and Valorant player, so i wanted something that was best for both these games and Wireless.
You know what's funny about heavy mice? The more you use them the more you get used to them. Also if you are taller I recommend heavier mice. The reason being you are just bigger as a person. I find myself at 6'3" kind of throwing the 502 around. When I clench I even don't realize that I have lifted it off the desk. Weight in my opinion is based on how big of a person you are and how easily you can use it. There is no right or wrong answer. I also think the 502 is in the spot of if it isn't broken, don't fix it. It's shaped well with good ergonomics and I can literally game all day with it. Personally I recommend a heavier mouse with higher sensitivity.
I'm looking for a wireless mouse that has charging dock... Is the Viper Ultimate still the ultimate (pun intended) choice in this case? Costs around 115 euros new. G703 is cheaper at around 85, but charging dock will cost roughly 30-ish. G Pro Superlight is super expensive
I'm using G502 LIGHTSPEED with wireless charging, because I got big hand, and I love heavyweight mouses. For me it's awesome mice I ever used, and it's feeling cool and useful at least for me
It seems that no one is addressing the switches. It's a very shit experience when your ~$100 mouse starts "auto clicking" by itself while also flipping a coin every time you use the scroll wheel to determine whether it will scroll up or down after not even 2 years of use.
I've had the sharkoon shark force 1 for over 7 years now and its still such a good mouse, i really dont get why no one ever mentions it ever, even after the second version with a bunch of improvements came out 3 years ago!
would you still reccomend the Fantek Aria? It's going for $67 after 10% coupon on Amazon right now. Been using the same g502 wired mouse for 7 years and it's finally time to try something else.
Turns out i didnt need a new mouse, i just needed to move the receiver because it was blocked by the case of my pc. You saved me at least 20$ so thank you!

My gpx is done after just 1 year and a half. The sensor makes my pointer go crazy and makes my in game camera go really fast in circle and my backwards button now double clicks. Most likely will switch to a deathadder v3 pro or glorious model d pro 2
a g502 was my first mouse, the g502 lightspeed was my second mouse, and after it kicking ass for 5-7 years i might get the g502x now. since the rubber is starting to wear. no other mouse on the market has its layout in buttons and infinite scroll wheel. if there is, then please, link it. until then, g502 FTW.
Anyone else going through the ''buy mice from Amazon, return them after using for an hour or two without even taking the plastic off or fully unboxing, and hope it's okay for a full refund and I don't get banned" situation? Tried like Pulsar xLite v3 mini and medium, mini felt slightly too small for a full palm/relaxed claw (and I only have baby 17.5cm/10cm hands), and the medium feels just a bit too big. Typical. Just sent the mini back today. Got the x2h delivered today, which is also small, but it has a bigger back hump, so I figured it may have the edge on xLite v3 mini with a bit more bulk...and that's forcing me into a more aggressive claw (which I just can't maintain) and if I try palm or relax claw, the larger rear hump is digging into my palm if I put my fingers down more. Nice. I picked up my old OG Zowie EC2A and it feels the most comfortable...despite me not being happy with its shape now which was the reason I'm starting to upgrade. Now I'm gonna just use the Zowie I guess to keep the others like new and stagger returning the xLite v3 medium and x2h. I wanna buy another but I just can't justify it, so I'll wait till next month I guess.
now i know i am leaving this after a month, but if you see this can you tell me if the model o is worth it? (i want a high end mouse with that shape and with a cord.)
@@je_mappelle_ProMichae1I had a model o for years, and now i am replacing it with a model o 2. I'd recommend u to get a model o 2, quality of those is incredibly epic from what i have heard, personal experience with the model o was also pretty good so far.
This is BS... I've been using my Logitech G502 every day for about 10 years in graphic design and gaming without any problems... What other mouse can hold up to intense use for that long??? None of them... The G502 is the goat... 💥
I got my Logitech G Pro on a sale for 99 and it also came with their Mouse Pouch! I’ve tried multiple mice but every time I came back to the G Pro. I’d recommend it to anyone as it’s probably the last mouse you’ll ever buy.
Superlight2 is gpro but lighter and better in every way Literally no point buying any logitech mice other than superlight because all other logitech mice have double click issues (including superlight 1) which superlight 2 doesn't as it has optical switches
Logitech creates products that last an extremely long time in my experience. Simply higher quality, even when it comes to their cheaper models. My first logitech mouse was given to me by a friend who bought a Razer mouse to replace it. Two years later, the razer breaks and I'm still using his old logitech mouse lol.
Using the G502 Lightspeed with the charging Mousepad, great mouse for gaming and general use. MX Master 3 or 3S for productive work on my Mac, can do some casual RTS gaming, too. The low Bluetooth poling rate doesn't affect it that much in that case. Would never use a lightweight mouse again, those things are tiny and, when you have big hands, are very uncomfortable to use, especially over extended periods of use.
the worst experience that i have with my current mouse is that my pinky finger get's wedged under the right bottom edge of my (redragon) mouse. most game mouse have the design for gripping on both sides, and some have additional extension to rest the thumb. but i don't think there is a mouse that has a part that can rest the pinky finger to avoid it getting wedged under, especially when being aggressive during games.
Running a G502se and really it's for the multitude of buttons any game might use. I wish I could streamline my mouse. Breakpoint has a use for just about every key on my board. And some games won't let you leave a function unbond even though you don't use it.
This is currently my most recommended mouse, available on Amazon (this is an affiliate link): geni.us/qgVbc
My strategy is to buy all of them and get disappointed when none of them live up to my expectations.

2:37 you could cook with the amount of oil generated from that monstrosity
Sooo.... G502 it is
0:06 I slightly panicked as a quake player
Those were quite a few hits, lol.
Just ordered a Redragon M908, hopefully that is as comfy as it looks
i had 2 different logitech g502 mice and they both broke within 2 months. i’m glad i’ve found someone who shares my hatred of them.
@bigcheefer You are a bloody bad man stay away from me g502 is the Nokia of mice
Bought a G502 before watching this video
Great choice. enjoy
@@sn0ipe333 You added "better" by mistake.
Speak for yourself!! G502 is the best mouse I have used worth every penny i pay for it!
I really like the G502 X Plus because the shape and easy acess to side button. One contra is his weight 😊
Unless you're playing FPS, it's optimally weighted. Although the shape is worse than the original.
Everybody talking about g703 superlight while I’m over here begging for a g903 reasonablylight with 4k polling and optical switches.
I have the model o and i want the viper, is it a worthy purchase
a lot of people who want heavier mice think they want those mice because of the friction; to this I say you should swap your mousepad. lighter is always better, not because of friction necessarily, but because of inertia, which will always, always, work against your movements. there is not a single case in which inertia will help you control your mouse.
4:15 the sudden cut to a bee to the joke got me good
*me buying a mouse 1 day before this*
me:
There are a few topics i would like you to add to the decision to getting a good mouse. Quality Software, compatable features linked with other peripherals like the keyboard, in other words the ecosystem. Alternative buttons like multiple mouse wheels, button layouts and scroll wheel buttons. Programmability and customization. Design asthetic. And replacement stategy.
I love the humour of this video. Thanks for the guide
3:23 Brought me straight back to Legolands's laser-raiders, man, good times
I saw the Asus ROG harpe aim lab in the video, what are your thoughts on that mouse? It's currently on sale down from 149 for $108 on Amazon.
I wish I could replace that thing but I don't own it and its "still working" so I cant convince them to get rid of it for something better.
stop mocking G502, please.
Lol why
coz thats a great mouse, Its amazing especially for work@@13_faces
@@13_faces I'm very curious about what it is specifically about the G502 that also doesn't apply to *all* Logitech mice? I had a G903 for a week and had to return it because it double clicked. Others have had that with brand new G Pro Wireless and it usually always happens after 1-2 years especially with Logi mice.
never had that issue with 502@@_BangDroid_
@@_BangDroid_its cause its so heavy
Same, but I'm unironically looking for a lighter version of the G502 hero. Plz lmk if any mouse has a similar amount of buttons.
@@GamingFurry3 g502 x
@@LordBigOoof I alr have that mouse as well, not light enough, thanks tho
Yes but the G502 you can find for around 50$
0:38 WDYM its:Not buying the G502
Still rocking my G703 for around 5 years. Tried many other, but none gives me the comfort of it. So I continue to speak my Logitech Prayers to make a G703 superlight. Maybe I will see this happen before I die ^^
I've been using G502 since it was first released, although I only use it for non-competitive games. So anywhere from casual games, rts, etc. I have a separate mouse for games pvp games like valorant, apex, etc.
Doode, if you spend $100+ on a mouse you have more money than sense, I was enjoying the video until then.
The hate for it is the weight, the shape, and the price.
You could get rid of G Hub with the Logitech Onboard Memory Manager if I‘m not mistaken. Most if not all settings can be changed in there as well.
Logitech G502 X Lightspeed Plus Wireless v/s Razer deathadder v3 pro
It's basically just "popular = bad" elitist nonsense. Let them sniff their own farts while you keep enjoying your G502.
@@TheACTIONZwhy the price? I got mine for €40 and that doesn't seem so bad?
WELL DONE... i was looking for mice for big hands... very informative THX from EU
which one did u get?
Get the Logitech G502 Hero. Best mouse all around.
Hi the current price is 40€, do you honestly think the classic Hero with wired cable is worth that amount?
Me in the first 25 seconds who just bought a g502 hero
I got G Pro Hero for over 5 years no issues, it has been discontinued
Trying out G Pro Wireless but I will be connected.
Times when wireless mouse were not precise above few centimeters seems like yesterday x')
I'm using G502 LIGHTSPEED with wireless charging, because I got big hand, and I love heavyweight mouses. For me it's awesome mice I ever used, and it's feeling cool and useful at least for me
I wish Logitech would release a vertical gaming mouse with good specs for those who have had wrist injuries. This is a great video!
I think we now know who is keeping the well deserved 5 star rating from the g502.
Hot take, Making G703 Superlight version will not improve the mouse. Its weight is its strenght
Been using the same g502 wired mouse for 7 years and it's finally time to try something else.
yes. the switches have been changed to some better ones as well.
@@DiamondLobbyReviews Sweet, thanks for the reply and I enjoy watching your videos, keep up the good work 👊
Turns out i didnt need a new mouse, i just needed to move the receiver because it was blocked by the case of my pc. You saved me at least 20$ so thank you!

i guess i'm buying the G402 again then...
My first mouse was g502 and for me its pretty cool mouse with no problem i have been using for 5 years and i changed for a another g502
My gpx is done after just 1 year and a half. The sensor makes my pointer go crazy and makes my in game camera go really fast in circle and my backwards button now double clicks. Most likely will switch to a deathadder v3 pro or glorious model d pro 2
Should've considered G502 Hero. Its the best of the best.
a g502 was my first mouse, the g502 lightspeed was my second mouse, and after it kicking ass for 5-7 years i might get the g502x now. since the rubber is starting to wear.
no other mouse on the market has its layout in buttons and infinite scroll wheel. if there is, then please, link it. until then, g502 FTW.
The weight issue: Less weight is better for FPS games, more weight is better for MMORPG.
Watching this video after I've bought a new mouse
It's risky as the quality of those can be poor. If it's cheap and easy to return if it's a faulty one then go for it
@@DiamondLobbyReviews ok so what mouse should i get i have a $12 puck mouse and it can be a bit laggy so i want to fix that

This is BS... I've been using my Logitech G502 every day for about 10 years in graphic design and gaming without any problems... What other mouse can hold up to intense use for that long??? None of them... The G502 is the goat... 💥
it's the best selling mouse for a reason, and other companies have even carbon copied the shape.

I thought his voice was robotic but until the mic clip
Using the G502 Lightspeed with the charging Mousepad, great mouse for gaming and general use.
MX Master 3 or 3S for productive work on my Mac, can do some casual RTS gaming, too. The low Bluetooth poling rate doesn't affect it that much in that case.
Would never use a lightweight mouse again, those things are tiny and, when you have big hands, are very uncomfortable to use, especially over extended periods of use.
the worst experience that i have with my current mouse is that my pinky finger get's wedged under the right bottom edge of my (redragon) mouse. most game mouse have the design for gripping on both sides, and some have additional extension to rest the thumb. but i don't think there is a mouse that has a part that can rest the pinky finger to avoid it getting wedged under, especially when being aggressive during games.
the problem is you're using a redragon mouse.
Running a G502se and really it's for the multitude of buttons any game might use. I wish I could streamline my mouse. Breakpoint has a use for just about every key on my board. And some games won't let you leave a function unbond even though you don't use it.
