Even in eggo's bizzaro 'silent victory only' multiverse, he is bound by law to play the silent on ascension 0. You have conquered the spire with the ironclad as well my dude. Can we not *f o c u s* on a defective victory instead?

He's finally getting it! Build the silent defensively and use powers like caltrops to deal damage over time!

Aggressive Silent can work, just not with the Act 4 Boss.
It can be viable, generally it is just a lot easier to shoehorn the silent into a defensive build due to card selection and meta.

That last fight man... the egg cracked at the end... he should’ve went for a thousand cuts and played backflip first for the draw. He would’ve gotten extra Dex and taken no dmg. It definitely would’ve lasted him for like an extra 3 turns as the deck recycles. With the beauty of the kunai he might’ve scaled past the damage range and killed the donut.
But it’s nice seeing the Egg learning and building synergies.
It's crazy. I've watched every single video of slay the spire for the last year or so. He was so good for about a month. Taking advice, going slow making great decisions. Then he just simply stopped. It's like the yolk in the egg got scrambled and he forgot that he is good at this game.
I realise energy relics are a god send. But it kinda feels to me that taking Busted Crown when you're looking for some cards (shivs in this case) can be real bad. I don't play that much but that's my take on it.
Busted crown is IMHO one of the worst energy relics, especially when taken early.
At least it's not choker
@@totalvvar Velvet choker is actually amazing if your deck is centered around high cost cards. It's obviously horrible on a shiv/draw deck.
@@UngodlyFreak ´By amazing you must mean passable. There are few situations any other energy relic would be worse than that and even those are situational

He is like "this card gets twice as good so we should upgrade it" terror LITERALLY BECOMES FREE. The lack of that upgrade tilted me off the face of the earth.

Good draw cards are run agnostic.

don't be afraid of pandora's box. you'll always get cards that are 'strictly better' than strikes and defends
At 2:55 wouldn't it be more efficient and better to remove a basic strike or defend?
You messed up when you played attacks before playing footwork on the last boss
Pandora's Box isn't scary, often it's a great relic early because after Act 1 you A) usually have no focus in your deck and Box helps you with that, B) Your deck is often over 50% strikes and defends and Box functionally removes all of them, and C) RNG is not always a bad thing.

I love how he thinks about upgrading anything else than neutralize as the silents first upgrade. Egg it's the primary target when will you learn :D

You guys in the comments have to rememeber he is probably on a 3-5 day back log. He has talked about it before. He records like 7-10 days of isaac in one day, does streams Sunday, Monday, tuesday, thursday. Prolly leaving slay the spire on Wednesday or Fridays. Giving him Saturday to play with Kate and relax. The dude prolly works 6 days a week and doesn't read comments because by the time the content goes up, he doesn't know. And when he does find out what he is doing wrong, it's a week later. If you want to talk to him, tweet him.

Holy crap thank you! I couldn't find it. I'd even watched that episode, twice! It's like egg and I both warped to another plane of existence at the very second he won, so that we couldn't remember it. Good deal. Crisis averted.
You've beaten the 4th boss with both the Ironclad and the Silent you complete and utter egg! You may as well not rotate characters every episode and just do the defect until you win
Potion belt is very good...
Stop being scared of Transforming Cards, especially when the cards being Transformed are Strikes and Defends.
Strikes and Defends add basically nothing to your deck.

It wouldn't be a NL STS video without hearing "Y'know what we want? Shurikan". No kidding. Gee, I guess one of the strongest relics in the game would be pretty nice to have ~. Stop asking for the same rare relic every single run. Not to mentioned the game gifted you Kunai already, you greedy greedy egg.
Also, value card draw more. You had 5 energy. That's not even counting the conditional energy relics you picked up. You under value card draw in general. It lets you reach your good cards without forcing an anemic deck. It also helps you avoid drawing a dead hand.
