I bought my GT 27 in 1985 (30 yrs ago!). Still occasionally carry it. Not the gun you take to a gun fight. But it is the gun you take when you weren't going to take one at all.

I don't care what anyone says, .25 ACP is still a quarter-inch chunk of lead going anywhere between 750-900 feet per second with about 150 foot-pounds of energy on impact. Weaker than most other rounds? Yes. That said, that is still more than enough to penetrate a human skull or to reach and destroy vital organs. Placed properly, said chunk of lead will send someone to their maker with one shot and will drop them instantly.
On another note, John Browning invented it and carried it himself. That's good enough for me.

I know of two people dropped with a 25 they both expired. Bullets kill people are mortal and GOD didn't design us to be shot in the heart or eye with a 25 auto or ANYTHING else. Peace

      Mec-gar mag in my 21A 25acp Bobcat makes it a 9+1 mouser.
Saw documentery with WWII bomber pilot speaking of capture
after bailing out and surrendering his 25acp carry. If good enough
back then 25 should be good enough now. (jmho)

All Im going to say is that my home town TV news covered a story of a man shot point blank in the forehead with a .25 and the bullet bounced off. He went to the hospital, of course, but he survived that attack.

@@newdefsys When I first read this comment I thought "BS", but indeed it has happened and your right. Apparently the short barrel causes the round to tumble from time to time, maybe that's what happened?

I watched this video and was intrigued. I looked at every video I could find on TH-cam about these and they all came to the conclusion that these were good, reliable guns! Shocking! I needed to arm two older female relatives who were widows and lived alone and these seemed to be a great option. Found a good 2 for 1 deal on GunBroker, $ 168 for them including transfer fee at my FFL. I cleaned about 40 years of crap out of them, replaced the recoil spring and rod on one of them ($10) and test fired them. 50 rounds of old hardball that I found buried among my stash through each and damned if they both didn't perform perfectly and that is with the original mags! Cleaned, showed the ladies how they worked (both were familiar with firearms), loaded them up and gave them their new carry/home defense guns . They have both practiced with them since and neither has ever failed. They are both deadly with these things out to 20 feet. 🎯 Great little guns, highly recommend them!

These guns are showing up at yard sales and Flea mkts overnight in Maine. Maine passed a 3 day wait with background check if at Gun Show or posted in a weekly Uncle Henry mag. Another loophole is to post ammo for sale (ie: 25acp,9mm etc) . When the ammo buyer shows up you sell the unadvertised gun. This new loophole is used in at least 7 states.

This was an interesting purchase for me as I have a wonderfull collection and came across one at a pawn shop for 100.00. It was in excellent shape so I figured what the hell. . Yes 25 acp is a small but this gun really shined . Took it to the range and it ran flawless . Yes it woul not be something I carry but its a wonderfull pistol that is a great conversation piece, and one I keep on my desk in my office area for shits and giggles and shoots very well. It may not be my first choice but its a wonderfull adition to my collection......... Love my mouse guns and this one rocks

Yes, I have one of the earlier models imported & distributed by excam - I’ve bought it used of course, over 25 + years back , it’s super tiny & very concealable...
I actually took a old flip phone leather case, that clipped on the belt - cut a small hole in bottom, make an excellent holster.
I have since purchased a 380, as well as other pistols, the 380 is somewhat concealable, but not nearly to the degree of this little 25,
I have a nice snub nose 38 cal revolver, but I haven’t found a holster or form of carry to get it even remotely concealable- unless I’m wearing a very oversized shirt,
    And then the 9mm,
Even with the baggy shirt, it profiles to much for me.
Lastly I’ll say, I agree you might not won’t to bet your life on a 22 or 25, but if that’s all you got- don’t hesitate to use it, in a life or death situation, if a man was dumb enough to pull a knife on me, and I have my 25, he’s going to lose that battle.
Sure - if I have access every pistol in my small arsenal, in a life threatening scenario, I would grab my 9mm, when that ran out of ammo, I’d grab the 38, and so on and so forth.
With that said, many people have been killed, with 22s & 25s, many with only one shot.
    Shot placement is everything!
Obviously larger bullets have more punch, but often a larger bullet, if hitting in a less lethal area, can go in & thru, missing vital organs.
While a smaller caliber, may enter, and take a varied path, sometimes striking bone & instead of continued path, it may alter its direction causing more damage in the process.
I’ve heard or read arguments for different lines of reasoning, but ultimately any gun - small or big has the full capacity to kill. If the bullet hits the right area.
A man could get shot once in the head or heart with a 25, and he’s done for, while the same man could might get shot several times with a 380 or 38, perhaps in and out of a shoulder, and arm, maybe even through the upper thigh, as long as it missed vital organs & major blood vessels- he could easily still be in the fight & be a deadly threat, especially if he’s armed also. Sure he will need medical attention, but not necessarily life threatening.
    Having been shot myself,
    I know first hand,
A man can survive being shot several times- even with a 38 cal at close range.
A few of the shots, caused little damage-
Either in & out, with damage but not life threatening, or ricochet off bone, traveling 18-20” before exiting,
But one bullet, entered, but instead of following a straight trajectory and exiting my body , it turned ever so slightly hitting many major organs & major arteries in its path before lodging on my spine,
It of course , was life threatening. Thanks to God & skilled surgeons, I’m still here, though I face physical complications & multiple surgeries to control and repair damage caused that day over 27 years ago.
The difference between all the bullets I was struck with was placement &
the Good Lord above said it wasn’t my time to go,
Still got work to do here!

I know they're not worth much... but I think $50 for one of these is a good deal. It's not worth any more than that, but for $50 you can have a gun that will save your life 99% of the time (like the vast majority of other guns). I know having a more capable firearm can be important, but the odds of needing a more powerful firearm are extremely thin. (...so although a more powerful round isn't likely to be necessary, I greatly appreciate people who carry larger, heavier, more powerful, higher capacity firearms. It's not always an easy, comfortable thing to do... so people that do it are the one's that are willing to go through the extra stress and discomfort to defend themselves, their families and oftentimes the people around them. I think that deserves appreciation).

My Dad just finally got around to really going through their belongings and found a couple of pistols belonging to my Pa. One of those happened to be a Tanfoglio .25 (: I'm glad my Dad decided to give it to me. Not only because it was my Pa's, but because from what I read and hear its pretty reliable little gun! I'm going to shoot it for the first time today. Wish me luck! (new to guns btw)

I think I'm gonna get it all cleaned up and eventually have it mounted in a display case. That'd be nice.
Either that, or I'll give it to my mom to carry.
Thanks for the great video and information

I have one that says Titan made in Italy. Has a steel frame and what looks like XVIII date code. Is this considered a better pistol.

I have one that I received when my grandfather passed. It was still in the box, pistol covered inside and out with a thin layer of cosmoline. The frame number doesn't match the barrel. Frame is M17XXX and the barrel is A66XXX. Odd little pistol. I ran a few magazines through it. Comical, at best.

Great mouse gun reviews! Did you see the review of the 25 cartridge on the cold steel channel? The guy made some reasonable points about the penetration being good, even though the stopping power is wimpy. It went thru 2, 1" pine boards at the distance you'd use this gun at.

I've heard this said before and I think it's true. When someone is shooting a gun at you you don't stop and think to yourself and say oh it's only a .25 round coming at me. You become selfish and worry about your own self being at that time. It will usually take the fight out of them and that's enough.

I have this model also but need to get a mag for it. I also have a Beretta Model 20 in 25 cal. Nice little pistols but with the Beretta I would have to be almost within arms reach for any kind of accuracy.

agreed! i would consider a baby gun as a backup to my main carry weapon in 32 acp. fun to shoot and fun to show your friends. everyone has a glock or a 1911. nobody has these.

+Dietzeeeee The Beretta Model 21 is an excellent pistol. It can be a little finicky with cheap ammo so I use CCI Mini Mags and it does great. Thanks Brother.

I like this little gun. Was fine at first but then started feeding funny. When the mag is fully inserted the rounds all fly out the top! Now I have to manually chamber a round, close the slide, drop the hammer, and then put the mag in with a closed slide. Pain in the rump and dangerous. Did you mention something about tweaking the magazine? Or is it the ammo? Thanks
Ps otherwise it’s accurate, doesn’t jam and feels nice

I have one of these, and I find I always accidentally dismantle it when I try to rack the slide. I find it difficult to rack the slide without taking care to not cause a stoppage from partially pulling the slide up just the slightest amount. That's my biggest gripe.

I had the same problem with my F.I.E. Titan 25. I live outside the US & a friend there told me that he can order through the internet, but how to send it to me was a great problem. Gun parts are not allowed unless through a licensed importer, I just bought #21 spring wire & fabricated some recoil springs that worked well. A competent gunsmith can do the same.
