In 1975, if you wanted deep conceal, this bad boy was it. And it goes bang every time. Paid $75 then. Was stolen and recovered a year later. Will never sell it, has great sentimental value. Would love to own the Beretta .25 too.

One of my three defensive shootings in the line of duty was with a .25ACP Beretta Jetfire and the threat was immediately nullified. Shot placement is everything.

@@RockandrollNegro I used a Jetfire as well with good effect. Ran off 5 gang bangers who were beating up a young boy. His mom ran to my house, hollering for help. I've got bigger guns, but had the 25 in my pocket. Just the sight of the little Beretta sent all 5 of the idiots running.

@420 Everyday I've had several 25 acp caliber guns over the years. The amount of ammo they hold varies from model. I've had 25's hold from 7 to 10 fully loaded. I currently have a 25 derringer that holds 2 rounds-one in each barrel. All of my 25's have had a safety. Most do. There are a few that do not.

      @420 Everyday
The Beretta Jetfire he mentioned holds eight in the magazine, plus one in the chamber. Examples made prior to the import ban (GCA1968) did not have a manual safety lever. After Beretta started making them here (around 1972?), all were equipped with one.
Mine was made in Italy in 1964.

I inherited one of these from my father-in-law back in the late 80s. I put it away and forgot about it. Just got it out a few years ago, cleaned it up and got a box of ammo. So far, it has been flawless. I would never think of carrying it, but I do keep it in the garage hidden away. If I am just going outside with the dog, I will usually grab it and stick it in my pocket. It is a fun little gun.

I picked up one of these in blued finish, with the checkered wood grips, as new in the box with 2 mags for $130 on Gunbroker 2 years ago. Rare with these grips I've been told, and NOW, the prices are a LOT higher. Great little guns!

Man that brings back memories. I used to have one of these lovely little pea shooters, she was a dandy, never jamed, and was almost actually accurate. I put a piece of spring steel on the grip and stuffed her down the top of my cowboy boots that I wore as part of my police uniform, she went with me places where no gun should ever go, in fact once when we were transporting a oil worker who had dropped off the deep end and tore the hell out of our squad as we transported him to the State Hospital, some 300 miles due East, a ride that I shall never forget, when we got there, I pulled my .45 from my duty belt and placed in the locker in the Sally port, but forgot the little Titan, and she went into the nut house along with that fighting oil worker, it was only as we passed through the metal detector that I recalled the gun, however the guy on duty just waved us through since we had a fight in progress all the way through the hallways. Ah but it was indeed a comfort to know that I could have pulled her from my boot and stuck the barrel in the guys ear then pulled the trigger and the fight would end. Luckily for all of us, a doctor met us with a needle that looked eight inches long and shoved in this guys leg, he was sleeping before he was done calling the doctor a mother f,,,,,,r. Oh what a wonderful life....

I carry a Titan just like this except, mine is not nickel plated. My dad bought it for my mom in 81 or so...she never warmed up to it. Recently I gave her my Ruger 380 because she is older now and if she had to use a pistol, I want her to have one that is ready in an instant.. I may end up buying another LCP for myself later. Lol But for up close, this Titan is a good pistol. People laugh about me carrying it, but will not let me shoot them with it. Guess it ain't that funny after all. Lol

The North Koreans had a small cal burp-gun about like this, as a Navy corpsman I had a marine “Chosin Few” that had about 17 of the slugs in his back. He lived, I think because they had lost energy from the distance shot, but it did put him out of action and a trip stateside to Oak Knoll Naval Hospital Oakland to recoup.

My grandfather who served in Vietnam bought one of these in the day for self defense when he traveled. He was in charge of the construction of jc penny and he actually was the one to design and build all the jc penny stores in the united states. He got picked up for being publicly intoxicated and the officers pat him down and everything and never found it. He kept it in his boot. He was literally sitting in the drunk tank with a fully loaded pistol in his boot. All he could do was laugh when he got out. They never even knew he had it on him.

I got one that was given to me by an old county resident who said I needed a backup gun when I was a patrol Sargent for the Sheriff's Department I was working for. Back then a lot of the time I was the only Deputy working in a 500 square mile county. I carried it for years and even though I am now retired I still carry it. It has never jammed and the accuracy is excellent for what it is. Bought a small nylon in the pocket holster for it and carry it in my back pocket an nobody knows I have it because it can't be seen. I never leave home without it!

@420 Everyday 7+1, safety catch is in the middle, on the left side of the frame. Two dots are on the safety: white and red, indicated two letters S and F. If you push the safety and expose the white dot and letter S, the pistol is on safe. If you push it forward and you expose the red dot and letter F the pistol is ready to fire.
I wouldn't store or carry this pistol cocked, chambered and with the safety on. The safety only locks the sear and a hard enough jolt can break the safety catch allowing the pistol to fire

I have this exact same gun, and I'd have to make a TH-cam video to explain how I came into possession of it. But I've never had the gun jam or misfire in any way. Was pretty accurate at knocking over beer cans. I don't carry it usually, but there have been times when *small* was a necessity.

I like mine. It's true you will break a firing pin if you dry fire it too much though...complete parts kits are still available even now early in 2019. I bought them and several spare mags when they were dirt cheap, so if need be I could rebuild the little gun 2 or 3 times over.

I carry a standard black Titan sometimes when I go fishing at night. Mainly for mangy feral dogs that Ive seenthere. Regardless how arguable the 25s effectiveness is, it feels good having it in my pocket. If it falls in the river...well,..Im not gonna cry for years over it. Mine has always functioned quite well. The secret for 2 legged dogs, is fire a round in the air, and then ask them if they want a couple .22 hollow points in the face. Way scarier sounding than .25s. Ammo cost really put the hurt on these little 25s. $20 for 50, in a $40 gun. ehhhh. I've handloaded some 25cal lead ball into the case over a breath of Bullseye. It works, but I wouldn't stay up all night making them. cool vid.

I owned some real junk sold by FIE. .22 Sort & LR revolvers, .22 Short pocket pistols, .25ACP, .32 ACP, and I think the revolvers were made by Rohm. I hate paying the prices, but Beretta, Seecamp, Browning, Colt, & NAA then getting a tad large but very thin, the Remington R51 (made in the 1901s to 1920s), are all nice little pocket pistols. .25 ACP shoots easy enough they are really fun to shoot, right until my credit card bill shows up! .25ACP is fine for self defense. The .25 in your pocket always beats the .45 left at home in your nightstand.

Hornady and Corbon make ammo for it and it's smaller than the F.I.E. Perfect pocket gun! Kinda hard to get ahold of, is NOT cheap and ammo can be a problem. Had a chance to buy one of these for $120 a few years back. A fellow was selling his late father's Titan 38 and Titan 25 for 120 each. I bought the 38- very heavy, heaviest 38 I've ever handled, but passed on the 25. Already had a Jennings 22, which seems comparable, and fires reliably when kept lubed and fed w CCI. 25 seems like kind of an odd duck caliber, and too expensive for what it is.

even thought these pistols are old and out dated, I picked one up at a pawn shop a year ago for 125. it was brand new and had never been fired and was still in the original box in the plastic bag! they are pretty common in pawn shops, but I know for a fact you can find them online..... best 25 I have ever owned, and I don't care what people say, they are beautiful little guns. so fun to shoot as well. only thing is, 25 bullets are kind of high...

Oh, Sootch! I’ve got one of these, but mine is blued. My dad gave it to me. Old gun. It was one of my weapons that I cleaned up today, as a matter of fact. For what it is, it shoots really well. I set up a styrofoam cup on a tree branch and shot at it from maybe 10 or 12 feet. I hit the cup every time, which was absolutely shocking! These days, I’ve got a Taurus .380 that I use as my car gun, and a Ruger P95 as the bedroom gun. No real need for a .25 palm gun. So I’m probably going to sell off my little titan. But, man, I dig it.

You are getting quit a mouse gun collection, made me think about what I have as mouse guns and what I have had. NAA .22lr, Keltec P-32, Mauser WTP .25. I remembering having a Jennings .22 years ago never could get more than three rounds fired in sequence. I also had a Suer&sohnn .25 that exploded in my hand, blew the slide apart, I was OK, but I sure remember it. These little guys cool. I agree with you not really a choice for SD but better then haha harsh words. The only reason I have the KeTec .32 is that I bought it because I needed something super small and light and it was the mosr powerful available at the time. Now Keltec has the P3AT and that would be my choice or any other .380 close to those dimensions.

I found one in a pawn shop that I ironically traded for I kid you not a old Milwaukee wrench and I took it to the range thinking it would jam after I found 25acp and it went off without a hitch. Not a single malfunction what so ever. Fun gun to shoot for being small yours is in much better looking shape im sure so it just proves reliability. I have rust on mine I am working on getting out. I trust it use it as a backup gun edc

Can you tell me if my 50GR. 25 caliber rounds i have for my Titan 25 are too much blast on that tiny barrel? The gun is in absolute fantastic shape with only firing about 40 rounds so far. And i clean it at least every other time i shoot even if it's just 1 or 2 clips each time (so only been disassembled and cleaned 2 or 3 times so far). I just noticed you had 35GR rounds instead of the 50GR so that's why i ask. I don't want the barrel to explode in my hands someday lol. I only have about 10 rounds left and im going to try to find some more soon so i thought id ask you first

The FIE is zamak the Tanfoglio GT27 was the steel version that was fully built in Italy. All parts for the gun beside the frame continued to be made in italy and fie started importing the parts and having the frames cast from zamak. The later versions had a zamak shrouded steel tube barrel- the worst of the lot. Some people call the excam the better version of the zamak frames but that is debatable.

My 25 was misfiring because the firing pin head mushroomed out and would not come back into position to be struck again..some clearance sanding on the head/ retainer plate and she works fine..Just a slight clearance/polish..Probably a dry firing thing..

  • @pilgrim7779

I've had two of these over the years and sold them both because I got tired of getting nailed in the forehead with hot cases when they eject. With these little Titan 25 acp's, seems like you either get a good one that never misfires or they are continually hanging up on you. I think it is the magazine more than anything. I've still got lots of spare parts for these including a nice pair of wood grips and a nice chrome (nickel?) barrel. Even if you find a nice shooter they still eject straight back though and that kinda sucks. You're right about the cheap frames on these, they look like some kind of lightweight pot-metal when the bluing wears off. Good review - thanks!

I shot mine today. Same gun and finish from 1981. Second box of Herters fmj the rounds started to keyhole. After 50 rounds the rear most cross pin got the barrel showed a crack in the frame resulting in a loose barrel. The rifling is halfway gone now. Going to take it to the next gun buy back. I like it and it functions fine but unsafe to fire after 100 rounds. Wish I had not bought a second magazine. Guess I'll sell that as well. Kinda surprised that it showed total failure with the barrel and frame.
