  • I've been intrigued by this bike & company ever since their indie go-go campaign popped up on my Instagram feed a couple years ago. I was immediately drawn to the light-weight & extremely high power design, which is showcased in this video. The bike uses their own high-drive motor system, which peaks at 3800 watts. Weighing in at only 35 lbs., I've never ridden anything that accelerates this fast. This bike is for the adrenaline junkies that love to do tricks & as well as commuters who love speed. Every piece of this bike looks and feels very high quality. There is no other bike like this on the market today. There is no other ebike I'm aware of that weighs less than this bike at 35 lbs except for the JackRabbit, but that only goes 20 mph with a 300 watt motor. What are your thoughts on this bike? Let me know in the comments & thanks for watching!

    I hope they start adopting these in my local community . I am going to give this video a share ! Although here on Public Roads a speed limiter is necessary tolimit the speed to about 15.5 miles an hour I think !

      I don’t think anybody would pay attention to you riding that bike. Especially if you are not wilding out.

    I want 1 so bad, it reminds me of my Raw Frame Sunday EX, & I'm already a huge ebike fanatic as well, from Fiido, Raev, Revv1, AR & beyond I've owned them in my addiction. 😆

      I know what you mean! You can't have just 1 e-bike, esp when there's so many dope options like this. Thanks for watching!

    My friend Paul was an early adopter of the springed seat .
    He is probably a very clever Dude but. Always so busy at work .
    I am a BMX fan and only crashed badly once or twice that I can remember.

    This thing is sick, wish it had pedal assist too though. It’s a really cool concept bike, it just seems a little less refined than say a zooz bike. Awesome bike though. I can see it’s mainly used as a trick bike and not a commuter. Very cool bike that seems very well thought out with all the titanium and power train. I do really like the zooz look where you can’t even really tell it’s an e-bike. This one obviously has the exposed battery and power train that makes it more obvious. I think zooz came up with a great product that looks amazing, I just wish zooz had this kind of power. Great video

      I agree with you! Even without pedal assist, the Chimera was by far the easiest ebike I've ever pedalled since the weight is only 35 lbs.
      I think an awesome concept would be the Chimera powertrain on a frame like the Zooz so that a larger battery and more comfortable seat could fit. The Chimera with more range and suspension would be hard to beat. Or if they put their powertrain on any other frame with suspension.
      Since this is Chimera's first bike I'm excited to see where they go in the future.
      Thanks for watching and commenting!

      @@StuartGrand I 💯 agree. I love these minimalist designs like the chimera and the zooz. I really want an e-bike to just have fun with, not a commuter to really get anywhere specific. I’ve been very close to buying the zooz 750 multiple times and I have been following these guys on Instagram for a while. They seem like good dudes, same with the zooz guys. I just have an addiction to power lol. I want a little e bmx bike that will pop up the wheel easy, hit 35 mph, but still looks like a bmx bike. I couldn’t agree more with you that this powertrain on a zooz styled bike would be amazing. Loads of torque which means loads up fun. I don’t need a commuter, I have a motorcycle for that which gets the need for speed out of my system, but I do really want a powerful little e bmx bike that can fly under the radar. I’m really not into the surron styled bikes, they get too much unneeded attention. Keep up the good work man! 🤘

      It doesn't have the pedal assist so u can ride it like a real bmx. And just boost when u wanna

      The lack of pedal assist is actually a breath of fresh air because you could pedal at most normal speeds and then go balls out without having to deal with any of that system it's a simplified version and it's amazing. And the ability to fine-tune the gears... So nice!

      Maybe if you contacted the company directly.
      But you can forsure buy a frameset with the battery, controller & motor included chimerabmx.com/collections/bikes/products/chimera-bmx-motorized-frameset

    What’s the range on it?

    • @StuartGrand
      @StuartGrand  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not exactly sure but with 52v 8.4ah full throttle, I'm guessing you're getting 8.4 miles at the very least. Maybe 15 miles tops.

    I mean test driving the bike and being obviously impressed with it and then saying that you were bummed out because you have a bad back even though you're driving a vehicle that is it not renowned for being easy on the body is kind of a weird thing to say, especially when you know that there are things like the shock absorption seats out there or you could probably rig up some shocks on the front....

    • @StuartGrand
      @StuartGrand  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sure I can understand that. I think what I was trying to communicate was that I would love to buy the bike but because of my personal injuries I would have to abstain. Regardless, the bike is one of my favorite e-bikes of all time
